Shorewood and Whitefish Bay are two scenic communities on Lake Michigan roughly five miles north of Downtown Milwaukee. These park-like communities feature sandy beaches on the lake like Atwater Park and Big Bay Park. For more outdoor recreation, residents flock to Lincoln Park on the western edge of town. This riverfront park features a golf course, swimming pool, athletic fields, playgrounds, and more. Shorewood and Whitefish Bay are popular with families because of their abundant green spaces and excellent public schools like Atwater Elementary School and Whitefish Bay High School. Locals enjoy browsing boutiques at Bayshore, an open-air shopping center, and dining at local establishments like the City Market Café and Bakehouse on Capitol Drive. Locals enjoy Shorewood and Whitefish Bay’s laid-back atmosphere and tight-knit community but can easily reach more job opportunities and big-city amenities and attractions in the heart of Milwaukee.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Villager Apartments
I really enjoyed living in the villager. The unit we were in was relatively big and we had a very pretty view. This year the manager changed and the new manager is very kind and responsive. They are also very quick when you put in a request for something to be fixed. The two times we asked for something to be fixed, they came the next day and fixed them. The only problem with this apartment is their old elevators. Most of the time they work but there has been a time recently that both of the elevator’s didn’t work for a day.
The apartment is dirty! The whole apartment needs to be renovated but the company will not put the money into it. Don’t live on the top floor if u want water damage that they will never fix. Building manager is a joke. He doesn’t care for the building at all. Garbage is just left in garage. There is couch in garage from an apartment someone died in. Laundry never works. “Storage” is not a thing. There are things that are left from when people moved out. Elevator never works. They turn the water off without telling you. They let me not have hot water for a good 5 months before fixing it. Security in building is terrible. Packages stolen all the time. Oh and the fire station is very busy. They will keep the sirens on and you hear them come and go all day/night
The kitchen is a pretty good size. The elevator stops working and the water gets shut off sometimes but maintenance fixes things fast. The balcony is a good size too if you like to sit outside in the mornings :)
a lot of sunlight. big kitchen. old building. maintenance is fast. manager is nice. I dont have issues with them
