Property Ratings at Venice Isles Apartments
We’ve lived at Venice Isles for two years, always paying rent in full and on time. We expected a level of comfort and service consistent with what was advertised — unfortunately, the reality has been far from it. Here are just some of the long-standing and unresolved issues we’ve experienced: The pool has been closed for half the summer, after also being unavailable for several weeks in spring — one of the key amenities we relied on when renewing our lease. The sinks in the community restroom have been out of order for over a year. Wi-Fi in the resident workspace has been non-functional for over three months, making the space unusable. After Hurricane Milton in October 2024, the mulch in front of our unit was never replaced, leaving our patio covered daily in sand and dirt, with outdoor furniture constantly soiled. The recycling program was discontinued, which is very important to our large family. Pet waste is not regularly removed from the lawns, making it unsafe for children to play outside. We’ve found rodent droppings on our patio on multiple occasions. A particularly serious issue is the constant turnover in management: new staff arrive every 1–2 months, and no one stays long enough to follow through on open issues. Some managers genuinely try to improve things and work late hours — often unpaid — but their hands seem tied by the system. When it came time to renew our lease, my verbal and written questions went unanswered, and I was essentially pressured into signing a renewal without ever receiving clear updated terms or explanations. We tried to resolve all concerns amicably and repeatedly: in-person visits, emails, and written notices — all with no lasting results. Every complaint gets lost in the shuffle of new personnel. This review is not written out of anger, but out of necessity — to warn future tenants and hopefully prompt meaningful change. Housing is not just about walls; it’s about safety, cleanliness, and basic respect for residents. We’re still waiting for that here.
This has been the worst experience I have ever had living somewhere. They act as though everything is put together and nice, however, its not at all. Over the last year there has been a few months where the pool has been closed for unknown reasons, they have hit us with fees we did not even know we had, because they changed providers without letting anyone know. They have continued to make it more difficult to just live. this is far from stress free living. Something is always wrong and they take forever to fix it. The way that the apartments were built is a huge issue. There are spots on the ceiling where drywall is cracking. Major issues with the flooring and the doors. If I could do it again I wouldn't. I am beyond thrilled to be moving out after my lease ends.
New management is ruining the community. They send out an email today stating that anyone by the pool past 8pm will cause a lease violation. Most stupid thing in existence. I get off work at 7:30pm in the evenings and love spending time in the pool with my family There is also black mold though-out all the hallways that is never taken care of. Sad the see Venice Isles falling apart

Elevator has been broken since 3/27/24. The only reason I moved here was to be on a higher floor with an elevator. Very irritated. Keep getting apologies but not getting it fixed, Makes absolutely no sense why it is taking so long.
While there were some noted problems in the past. I am very pleased with the new manager Tina. The new management (while only being in place for the last 6 weeks) is really trying hard to correct past issues, and have informed me of their plans to address all the issues. The maintenance request are always answered promptly and very professionally.

Staff is amazing and very friendly! They were very responsive to my questions and made the move for me and my daughter extremely stress free!! I was also very impressed that on the first day of moving in, Jason (maintenance) stopped by while I was unloaded items to see how everything was and even took the initiative to replace the garage door lock right then. We are so excited to call Venice Isles our home!

I had the opportunity to call Venice Isles home from 2020 until last month. After several changes in management, Oksana, Heather, and the rest of the team emerged as those who truly cared about the residents and the property. This appealing property, built in 2020, is one of the few in the area with an elevator. The 4-story buildings and the complex feature garage parking, a golf simulator, a resort-style pool, a beautiful grill area with a spacious clubhouse, and the convenience of paying rent and submitting maintenance requests online. The apartments are equipped with smart key locks, granite countertops, and boast beautiful design. There's also after-hours emergency maintenance on site. While I did encounter issues during my stay, this team consistently worked hard to resolve them. That said, issues persist, often created by residents who fail to follow rules or understand how to live harmoniously in a community.

As someone who never writes reviews , I feel like this is necessary to help those considering this “luxury apartment” it is so dirty and deceiving, new management is so rude and ignore tenants that haven’t had A/C in months . My dryer stopped working 2 days after moving in and they haven’t fixed 4 months later . My cousin also lived here and I should’ve listened to them when they left . A LEASE FROM HELL literally they will suck you in with the security deposit deal and 500 off first month THEN slap extra new charges on your bill
The management team and staff are FABULOUS! They are rebounding this property. From the leasing agents to maintenance they are happier and working hard to please their tenants. I have been here since August of 2022 and have seen how horrible it was before the hurricane and what this team walked into after the hurricane. They are rebounding nicely. They need some more help but when we are fully staffed this place will be even better.
Thin walls, cheap construction, large dogs, trash in breezeways, and nonfunctioning gates. If you feel this is luxury, you're in luck. Be prepared for at least a 30% rate hike every lease too.
The hallways are always disgusting, dirty from people’s trash and trash leaking, even had 2 dead cockroaches in the halls last week. They are supposed to power wash them, but they have not done that in awhile.
If dirty hallways don't deter you, this might be your kind of place!
The staff has been so helpful. I'm moving from Illinois but they let my sister tour the apartment complex. This going to be the easiest move I've made. Great start to a new beginning. Couldn't ask for better help.
