Just an eight-minute walk west of the University of Kentucky, the South Broadway Park neighborhood offers excellent access to some of Lexington’s biggest attractions. Lexington is known as the Horse Capital of the World where Kentucky Derby horses are bred, trained, bought, raced, and retired. South Broadway Park is only four minutes from the Red Mile, a world-famous horse racing track complete with simulcasts, dining, games, and live music. The neighborhood is also close to the Kentucky Museum of Art where you can take a workshop sponsored by the University of Kentucky College of Fine Arts.
Tee it up at the Gary Brewer Jr Golf Course, the first public golf course in central Kentucky, only a few minutes west of the neighborhood. If you’re looking for good food, this neighborhood is packed with restaurants. Take a trip to South Broadway Place, a mall with a variety of options including wings, pizza, ramen, sushi, and tacos. The area has a suburban feel with verdant streets.

Property Ratings at VELO - Waller Avenue
VELO has been super responsive and accomodating for my short-term rental. I was able to get a room in a time frame of about 3 days, and the logistics were all sorted out on their end. Super grateful for that! The maintenence is super quick, responsive, and friendly, and management was also responsive and communicative. I had no problems with the unit, except for the fact that the rooms are not very soundproof. It is very easy to hear from the hallway and vice versa. This didn't bother me much, as most residents were quiet during the appropriate times. Overall pleased with management and the unit
