Gone downhill since Zero Vacancy took over...

Moved in via Encore Mgt. to tidy grounds and an on-site manager that kept things awesome -- made sure laundry rooms were quiet by 10 pm, found owners of cars parked in your spot, stomped down trash (as we all know random strangers take advantage of open dumpsters), etc. Then Zero (0) Vacancy took over and got greedy! -- Got rid of the manager. Going on 2 months of no response to maintenance requests. Busted non-resident cars in our already limited spaces (there isn't one space per unit, and you can barely see the painted numbers / lines). 10 year tenants leaving. Cigarette and marijuana smoke in the hallways even though this is supposed to be a non-smoking building. (Of course it's legal -- but the point of a non-smoking bldg. is to better serve those with health issues like my cardiac child.) They only sweep entrance when showing a unit - not weekly as they promised when they got rid of onsite manager. If you get a ground unit, be wary of transient folk that walk through to the adjacent wooded area especially now that landlord isn't onsite keeping things safe (don't leave out anything you don't want stolen). Shared laundry on each floor is the only amenity. Another thing to note! You can hardly receive packages here! Front door is locked, which I like until I realized that amazon, ups, fed ex can't get in. No buzzer either!!!So guests must call you on cell to let you know they're out front to be let in. (Little things I didn't think to look for before moving in after traveling across the country.)

The Valiant Arms review

I really like the interior of the unit. Modern appliances, linoleum floors that are nice and easy to clean, and it is pretty spacious. The on-site landlord is usually very attentive to your needs and works well keeping the complex clean. The only downfall of living here is the street parking and the neighbors that disregard the "no smoking in the building" signs.
