The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at University Village
I mainly gave this property 3 stars because safety wise and noise wise it is not the best. The management is ok, they are pretty friendly and get reply relatively fast. I have lived here 6 months and have not had too many issues with them. My biggest concern living here has been my safety. I hear gunshots at least twice a week around the neighborhood. The barber shop guys across the way are nice but if you are a woman you will get cat called so beware. On a bright note I have not had any issues with mice, cockroaches, rats. The building is really well insulted and it overall is a nice building. I would give this place 4 stars however the safety is just my biggest thing.
I miss living here! During my two years I never had any issues with the apartment or management. Yes, traffic is loud, but I just had a loud fan which did the trick. I lived on the second floor and had no safety concerns.
Cars passing by on University may as well be in the room with you. The bedroom physically shakes every time a heavy vehicle passes. The area is not great. Several times have called the police for mentally ill homeless people screaming non-sense in the street at 2 am for hours on end. I have never seen the police show up for any of these calls. The bars down the street have cars and motorcycles reving and peeling out most of the night, although traffic in the area can be heard doing this all day as well. The barber shop adjacent to the property has customers that play loud bass out of their cars in the parking lot. There are often groups of people standing outside SUVs listening to how loud the sound goes. This is often loud enough to rattle picture frames, doors, and shelves. This can be heard and felt in every room of the apartment. Calling them to ask if their customers could turn their bass down has been met with “why don’t you come over here and say it to my face?” My friends and girlfriend refuse to visit here due to the noise. I am a student. I can't study here and neither can my classmates that have tried. It is extremely hard to focus on work. The sounds cannot be drowned out with my own music. The bass is often overpowering. I tried breaking lease due to the noise impacting my sleep and mental health, but management will not work with me. They said they would try to find a tenant to take over my lease, but I have seen no evidence of that. Moving out as soon as possible.
