Hugging the Congaree River and stretching east, Columbia is a sprawling city with a history dating back to colonial times. The university is located downtown, covering over 359 acres. The historic, top-ranking university dates back to 1801, but the oldest structure in Columbia is the Seibels House, built around 1796. Property Ratings at Town Center at Lake Carolina
The new management is full of it. They are just as bad. They have had 7 different managers in a year. The place is infested with roaches. The managers claim they are doing “what they can”. The application process is all but seamless and they are lairs!

Do not move here!!! This place is a total dump. Roaches everywhere, front office hides from the phone, the last front office team was fired and the new ones are even worse! There is NOTHING luxury about this place, you may as well go stay off Broad River…
DO NOT MOVE HERE. Grills don't work, fire pits don't work, No AC in gym since I've been here in April, car care center broken, security doors broken, no video intercom, media room closes and 5pm and is closed on weekends, garbage all over, dogs poop outside and no one picks it up, hallway dirty, dog urine in stairwell and the Odor is horrible, dog barks below me non stop at all hours, you can report to management all you want. NOTHING IS DONE. Fees for water sewer and garbage are ridiculous and go up every month. Sewer 49.73, water 20.56 trash 46.34 oh and a service fee of 5.25 a month, pest control $5 Waiting for my lease to be up
The new management at lakecarolina is doing an amazing job since the new management Meagan has been here things are going great a 180 degree turnaround. Every day this place gets better with her here. I see great things to come with her. This place would have stayed amazing if they kept management like her from the beginning. Truly impressed with all she has gotten done in such a short time. Lakecarolina Apt will be a nice beautiful place to live again !! Thanks for the hard work Meagan my family truly appreciates it. During the process of preparing to sell our home I started checking options for clean, reasonably priced apartments. The manager, Meagan, assisted me. I had LOTS of questions and was very skeptical initially. Meagan patiently answered all of my questions, walked outside with me to tour and point out the differences and similarities of the different buildings in the complex and the awesome amenities. The hallways and elevators smelled great as I noted air freshener plug-ins in all of the corridors, a rare sight to see!! The gym was fully equipped, spacious and clean, with updated equipment, varying weights, and multiple large flat screens mounted throughout. The pool area was clean with plenty of pool chairs, 2 elevators in each building, secured entry for residents. I toured a 1 and 2 bedroom unit in 2 different units and they were immaculate!! Updated light fixtures, gorgeous marble countertops, nice finished cabinetry, and tiled bath and kitchen floors and backsplashes. I can honestly say that I was very impressed, especially because they are priced so that an average working person could comfortably afford to live here. Affordable but luxury living! Impressive.
This by far is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was approved to move in to this complex two weeks before move in day, I moved out of my home and packed my truck the day before moving to this establishment. The day of move in day they began then told me they wanted to push my move in date back because the manager needed to approve of my income which was already approved being that I was approved two weeks in advance. Even still I provided all the necessary documentation asked for so that I could still move that day because I was then facing displacement. The assistant manager Emily called me with the nastiest attitude and even hung up on me after expressing my frustrations as to how they could possibly be doing this the day of move in after signing the lease an being approved two weeks in advance.
The move-in is great and the stay is good, but when you move out, get ready to NOT get your security deposit in 30 days as the lease states. The staff is of no help with no call back.
I moved to this apartment under the impression that it was a high quality apartment complex. The place is a dump; it never gets cleaned and it smells. Residents don't give a ---- and trash the buildings and grounds. Kids leave their stuff everywhere and block exits. People's dogs go to the bathroom in the hallways and stairwells and don't pick up after them. Then again, they spill/drop trash everywhere and don't pick that up either. Staff have done little to resolve issues and there's no enforcement of anything. Maintenance takes at least 1 week to respond and doesn't usually resolve the issue well. The building has not had AC in the halls since we moved in 3 months ago. It's literally 85 degrees. And the noise... beyond the resident issues, there is a live band that plays for 6 hours EVERY Sunday. There is NO escaping it unless you actually leave the area. It's so loud I can't even hear my TV. I bought noise cancellation headphones but that only helps so much. The apartment did not notify us of this and has no control over the area. Sketchy people hang out in the park all hours of the day and night - just steps from our building! - and people blast music and trash the pavilion. It has literally been hell living here. DO NOT MOVE HERE!
This place use to be great but now I feel like I’m living in a freaking dog house. Everywhere you look there’s a dog barking at me. Either it’s down the hallway, on and off the elevator or just loud barking in the apartment. The apartment complex is filthy and disgusting with pet poop on the carpets, the stairways and even literally by the exits doors. I told the property manager and she doesn’t seem to care when I told here I want to move out she just shooked her shoulders like she doesn’t care. She give me this look like what you want me to do about it so here I am posting to the world. If you don’t clean behind your pets this is definitely a place for you. If you are a person that clean after your pets then I guess give it a shot. Don’t get me wrong I am a pet lover but if you don’t have pets it’s probably not the best place for you unless you like living in a doghouse.
The Town Center at Lake Carolina is an awesome place to live. It has great amenities. The staff is really helpful and friendly. The location is also great; it’s close to schools, restaurants and shopping centers. It has such an amazing atmosphere. I love it here at The Town Center at Lake Carolina.
This is the perfect location. There are shops within walking distance and the Village at Sandhill is only 10 minutes away. The common areas are well maintained and staff incredibly helpful. The community is so well lighted that it feels like daytime at night. The living room and kitchen are very open and have quality features. The bathroom has a really nice garden tub and the bathroom cabinet has lots of storage. One neat design the apartment incorporates is a cabinet to charge your electronics like phone, tablet, etc. The only downside I have found is how long it takes for hot water to reach the kitchen and bathroom sink. Hot water reaches the shower in no time but the kitchen sink it can take several minutes. Also, the water pressure in the kitchen is low especially when you are waiting to fill a pot.
This is definitely home! The apartment complex has made life so easy for me. It has great amenities and the service here is outstanding. The school district is wonderful and the residents are just like family. The environment is friendly and warm. They host family oriented activities for the children and the adults. I am so happy I moved here. You can take family walks, get in the pool, or exercise in the workout center. You can also do yoga or visit the business center. Again Town Center has definitely become my home away from home. I love it here!
The staff here are wonderful. The apartments are brand new and the area is building up. Hope to see more shops that become to move in across the street. The pool and amenities are wonderful. Rent is priced a little higher but when you factor in that it includes cable, internet, trash and water bill its well within the area of other apartments but this one has more features. The complex offers neighborhood get togethers often and thats a great touch. Great place to live!
Well I move from a house to an apartment. And town center is so wonderful to there residents I am never leaving here. I have referred my friends . The take care of the resident we matter . We always are have special events so new residents can meet each other . And not let me forgot about all the amenities . Super nice club house with a state of the stero system if u wanted to a theater room to hang with friends in the most comfortable long chair that can fit about ten to fifteen people . U are never forgot . The office has the best team . They are at you beck and call for anything they will hang a picture for if u get stuck they will send someone to pick u up. We have two dog parks one for the smells gates in with a bench for both sides we have a car center wash vacuum and if u get a flat tire it's something back to get u to a gas station. There is no other apartment in Columbia South Carolina . I take pride to be and love the give the residents. It's just not about the money . They know u by your name . If world inside it self .. The different floors are awesome and staff go way to call of duty . I have never experienced this type of living and neither have the other residents we have people pick up our trash in front of your down five nights a week and the trash can is supplied. And we also have these carts the u keep until u more out to help u bring groceries or whatever u can't carry in your hand . The office have a welcome about with the staff . We have a cabana with huge flat screen tvs so if the children are in the pool u can watch tv. It's the best very well secured I never worry about my safety and I live on the first floor we have elevator s two in each building just the life . The sencery is just beautiful. Nice and quite at boy. To talk a walk . There is a pub out u can set I. The park and listen to jazz music. And u can have three dogs out here . And the residents have wonderful well behave dogs . I could go on we have over two hundred fifty channels and wifi is also included . What more could u ask for . We have functions at the lake house which is wonder . There are two elementary school and one middle and we have a Ymca . It just the best next to what I think heaven will be like . This is the best place in Columbia South Carolina
The people in the front office are very helpful and will answer all your questions. They also respond to any problems or questions that you have in a timely manner.
