Hillsborough is a family-friendly neighborhood located about 12 miles west of Downtown Omaha. Hillsborough has good schools, access to big-box stores and grocers, and an active neighborhood association that hosts community events including garage sales, an Independence Day party, and the annual Hills"BOO"rough Spooktacular, a Halloween celebration. Along with a namesake park in the center of the neighborhood, Hillsborough is surrounded by green space. Two golf courses, Eagle Run Golf Course and Champions Run, are located directly south of the neighborhood. Standing Bear Lake and Park is a popular spot for fishing, boating, and ice skating, while Tranquility Park has excellent sports facilities.

Property Ratings at Torello on Maple
I had a break-in into my apartment by someone from the same community. The management was very complacent about the broken door frame. They lacked empathy about the whole situation. It took 7 days to get the lock replaced. What's annoying is how they sugar-coat, provide false assurances, and take so long things done. Even a kitchen faucet replacement is a hassle here. After multiple service requests and a ton of follow-ups, they simply shift the blame to third-party vendors. They make you feel like they are doing a favor by letting you stay here.
Apartments themselves are fine but smoking is tolerated in the units, even though it is supposed to be non-smoking under new management. Also, nobody tells you during the touring process that smoking was allowed at one time and some residents are "grandfathered" in on old leases allowing them to still smoke inside. Therefore, if you're like me you can end up by a chain smoking neighbor and get to have their smoke creep into your home non-stop. I've tried talking to management multiple times, contacting corporate with no response and talking to the resident directly with no change at all. Just be aware of the smoking policy before looking here.

Brother lived in one bedroom with his wife for 3 years, I took their apartment after they bought a house. Staff is helpful, nice area, haven't had any needs for maintenance although I'm sure if I did that it would be attended to reasonably quickly. As good of a value as you are going to find in West Omaha.
This complex is just what I was looking for. They have outside entrances, washer and dryer in units, just like living in your own home. The management is great and attends to your needs in a timely matter. Couldn't ask for any better.
