Property Ratings at The Wright
I can recommend this apartment for active people with pets and families with kids. The location is great, near the Centennial Park and Arapahoe Road. Near the apartment is a bus stop for Cherry Creek Middle and High and High Plains Elementary schools, so kids feel safe to go for a bus independently. It is allowed to live with pets (despite some big breeds being restricted officially, there are still such dogs living), but an extra fee is charged monthly (50$ if not mistaken). The complex is new, pretty, territory is carried by stuff. It has an amazing open-air swimming pool and hot tub, several barbecue zones. There is a great common area with TV, free coffee, a playing zone, a billiard, and a meeting room, 2 24-h gyms with all the equipment you might need. In case of any issues, you can leave a request online, and it will be fixed promptly within 24 hours. The area and neighbours are calm, friendly, and I feel very comfortable living here.
There are many good things about the apartment. However, there are several things that must be noted. Firstly, the construction around the grounds is out of control. There have been Porta potty sitting outside unit windows for 5 months. The mud when it rains is wild because they tore up all the grass to install lights. There are even more plans for updates that do nothing more than disrupt the current tenants in hopes of attracting new ones. Secondly, I'm a single guy, Im in the office 5 days a week. I have a one bedroom apartment. My utilities with the shared utilities was 268 bucks for the month! $268 for an 800 sq ft apartment is criminal. Please ensure if you are looking to save money as I was when I decided to move. You must factor in around 250 average a month for utilities. And no, my apartment isn't special and my heat and ac aren't extreme.
Very disappointed experience. I drove 18 hours to visit CO to look at apartments and made it very clear I have a German Shepherd, which I was told was allowed. I asked again while touring and was told they are not restricted. I was ready to apply and sign a lease, but their website was down for 3 DAYS. I waited patiently until finally it was back up, only to find out that GSDs are now a restricted breed. Their excuse was now they are under new management, just a year after construction. So many red flags that I can't recommend this place to anyone.
