The Windward is a happy, friendly, and convenient place to live It’s very secure and has beautiful surroundings in every way I will cherish my time here because of the park close by and the activities like The Saturday Market that pop up every year and the Christmas lighting in December

The security is very good and appreciate the office staff. It is a very nice place to live and the area easy to get around in. Nice shops and restaurants.

We love living at the Windward. The staff is so friendly, welcoming and accommodating and always always helpful. I can’t say enough about the wonderful maintenance department. They are prompt efficient, and always take care of any problem large or small.

I never would have believed apartment life could be this nice. My husband and I have a large home out of state but travel here frequently to be near our grandchildren. Our apartment unit is spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. The amenities are top notch, building maintenance and cleanliness of all facilities and grounds are impeccable and beautiful. I feel safe in every respect, the units are well insulated and quiet and we love being able to walk to restaurants, boutique shops, and grocery stores. Overall, the Windward is in the beautiful community of Lake Oswego, providing the home base for a lovely lifestyle.

Unfortunately, my son and I are exposed to nail salon fumes when in our apartment unit. If you choose to live here, be careful about which unit you pick. We are often feeling sick due to the strong chemical fumes, which enter from the Dipped Salon below into our unit. We have been here since July 2023 and management recently came into our unit at my request and agreed they smelled the strong fumes. We try to stay with friends, travel or use the common areas as much as we can to stay out of our unit for which I pay $$$. My son is young and I worry about his health. It's not just a nuisance, it's a health concern. Even the hair salon adjacent to the Dipped Nails has complained about their fumes. Management tried to appease my concerns by explaining they are working with the salon regarding proper ventilation. However, it's impossible to block the air from circulating. This was a problem with another building here that housed Burger Deluxe. Residents in that building found the cooking smells a major nuisance. The burger place eventually shut down. I find it surprising that a nail salon is even permitted to operate below a residential space. It smells like rotten cabbage and is unbearable at times. However, there are no units available for me to transfer to, so it is making the situation very stressful and unpleasant, while paying a premium in rent. I was shocked that my rent was increased despite this being an ongoing issue. Management offered the solution for me to move to another unit if I am "so concerned about my health" but they have increased the rent to what I am paying (and more) on units that are actually smaller than mine. Lastly, you are also expected to pay a hefty utilities and common areas fee. So currently I am paying $3000 per month for a one bedroom with a den and lots of nail salon fumes. The other issues that bother us: Star Cycle music and "whoos" early in the morning and major traffic noise in the bedroom, which we are afraid to use due to the fumes. Parking is also extra and there is no effort to retain loyal residents. I'm not going to get into the maintenance and cleanliness of the courtyard furniture and hot tub. Compared to the past management, the new management is a breath of fresh air. However, the air in my unit is far from fresh.

I would like to mention that it is a treasure to have Brianna on the front lines as community first response staff. She did great with following up all the way to completion of the work request. Brianna is amazing to work with, she his very personable and caring in her approach to helping others. Bri is a big reason why it's great to reside at The Windward in Lake Oswego. Thank you.

I am new in Lake Oswego and finding The Windward makes it possible to get to know this community well before putting more roots down. Happy to be here and to be in the Windward.

The windward leasing team has been wonderful to deal with. I like all the different floor plans. But was shocked about having to pay for common areas and they absurd an amount for the parking on premise.

The Windward is a wonderful property to call home. It is within walking distance of several restaurants and grocery stores. It's location in the central village area of Lake Oswego gives many opportunities for social outings.

I am proud to call the Windward my temporary home. We moved here from So Cal to be close to our daughter’s family. The transition from single family residence has been easy and uplifting.

The maintenance crew is always terrific at responding and getting the problem taken care of

The Windward living experience exceeded my expectations and the quality of living there is second to none.

The Maintenance service team was very timely, efficient, knowledgeable & friendly. My dryer was making a screeching noise & after looking at it they replaced it with a new dryer immediately. I had several other things to repair & all was taken care in a matter of a few hours. I was very happy with everything overall!

I feel very at home at The Windward. People are helpful and approachable, the location couldn’t be better. And the free coffee near the rental office is awfully nice too!

We were the first residents to move into the Windward in 2018. We left a large historic home on 100 acres of land to reside in an apartment with two bedrooms in the middle of a small city. It was a huge step for us, and a dramatic change in lifestyle, we certainly miss some of the aspects of our country living but it has been a total delight to be part of the Windward community and experience all the wonderful things that Lake Oswego has to offer. We have been very pleased with everything about Windward and find the management and staff welcoming friendly and always helpful , the surroundings are aesthetically beautiful both inside and outside with so many amenities. Urban living is now some thing we are used to and because we are at the Windward our life experience here has been excellent.

Tje Windward provides elegant apartment homes amidst a community of coffee shops, wine lounges, lovely restaurants and access to all sports activities. People are friendly, polite and quiet. Pets are sweet and well behaved.

The Windward is a very pleasant place to live. Unfortunately renters move quite often for some reason. Dogs are a problem when left unattended in the apts. Surrounding areas are lovely and choice of shops and restaurants are a benefit.

The Windward isn't just a home, it's a community. All our newest friends live here, and we get to see them every day. We enjoy very comfortable, quiet living in our units while being just steps away from the best restaurants, bars and parks in Lake Oswego. The facilities are great for entertaining; we haven't had so many gatherings of friends and family in years. If you're looking for a rental property, the Windward is the place to live in Lake Oswego.

The security parking and cell phone entrance for entry are wonderful. Very helpful maintenance crew and office staff. Being close to shops and restaurants are a nice bonus.

My wife, Britney and I have had a very positive experience with The Windward Apartments and the staff. When we originally leased at The Windward, Alex helped us find a place that fit our requests quickly after a brief phone call, we felt very comfortable to lease a unit sight unseen. We have lived in the Windward for a few months and our tenant experience has been excellent. The level of thought and preparation that went into making the building a VIP experience matches the price. Comparatively there are many cheaper places to live however in this case you really do get what you paid for. The amenities are thoughtful and well maintained, the maintenance staff is prompt and friendly. You can't ask for a better building or Staff. After a few months into our lease we had an incident that required renters insurance to step in. I was very concerned that my interactions with the property manager would be confrontational and difficult. To the contrary, Steffney the Senior Property manager called me almost immediately to check in on us and find out if we had been provided alternate living accommodations. She took over from there and communicated with insurance to achieve the best result for all involved. My wife and I are multiple business owners and know the value of having the best team around you. Steffney, Alex, and the Maintenance Team at The Windward Apartments are kind and helpful, unwavering in the services they provide to residents. We feel confident in recommending them to anyone wondering if The Windward is their next home.
