After undergoing recent revitalization, Downtown Youngstown is growing to be a popular destination in Youngstown. Similar to other downtown districts, this part of Youngstown houses government offices, business offices, warehouses, and an arena, but what makes Downtown Youngstown special is its new collection of restaurants, shops, nightlife hotspots, entertainment venues, museums, theaters, and art galleries. This growing neighborhood is making a name for itself with unique additions, like the Roger & Gloria Jones Children's Center for Science & Technology and the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre. Surprisingly, with all of these amenities, Downtown Youngstown offers a variety of affordable housing options, although there are several luxury apartments as well. Bordering Youngstown State University campus, the neighborhood is also a great choice for students and faculty.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Wick Tower
This place is great if you want no AC/heat, no hot water, no parking, and poor management.
The good:The unit it up to date… The bad: Hot water is hit or miss. One day you may have scolding hot water. Next morning will be freezing cold. Extremely noisy. Horrific parking situation. Building lost heat during winter, my apartment was barely above 50 for over a week. They were reimbursing to stay in a hotel. Currently no AC. Apartment is 83 degrees..
You have to park a quarter-mile away in a crime-ridden area. Hot water has been out for months. The heat went out in the winter - they were literally reimbusing reisednts to stay in the hotel across the street because unit temperatures were in the 50s. The building has a trash chute, but residents can't use it :) Gym has roaches and the equipment is cheap. Packages were stolen on more than one occasion.
I stayed in a nice 9th-floor apartment with high ceilings. It felt big and roomy. The place was clean and had good furniture. I had only a few small problems, which got fixed fast. Overall, it was a good stay, and I’d recommend it.
If you want to get any sort of sleep between the hours of 9pm-3pm from Thursday through Sunday, do not rent here. The windows have absolutely no insulation meaning that any sort of music, people talking or any sort of sounds happening outside, you will hear loud and clear. The air conditioning only works 3 months out of the year and when it doesn’t, they advise you to “open your windows” in 80 degree heat as if that will cool your apartment down. If you have other options to rent, rent those. I wouldn’t tell anyone to live here.
This apartment complex has very poor management as well as services provided. The air conditioning units do not work in the 80 degree heat of the summer and the management thinks that sending all tenants to a hotel will fix the issue. The rent is extremely high for such bad amenities.
There is not a day that goes by without a problem with this building. Whether it’s the broken air conditioning in the summer, no hot water, bad parking locations, power outages, or the key system not working. These issues do not get resolved quickly either. Terrible management of this establishment and I would not recommend living here if you want a smooth living experience.
