it's a great place for students, older people and anyone who's just trying to save for a house. Customer service is great and maintenance come when you call. This property has changed a whole lot since I visited it in 2018-2019.
Some off few reviews are misleading, first off they do not have "catered bbqs" that's a total lie. They dont even have a place for anyone to have a bbq other then a very small grill that sits on a pole in the back of the property, they do not have bbqs for the residents. Second the fact that the last reviews brag so much on the property manager should be a red flag. Also they don't talk about how this place sits literally and I mean literally parallel with I-20 so you will not get any peace or a more then a few seconds of quiet because you will hear cars zipping past you constantly for 23 hours a day. Wouldn't move here if you want actually silence at some point throughout the day Speaking from my experience the process to get into these motel style apartments built in the 1980s still with the original layout and materials was way too much! Even with a co signer Sharon made the process very difficult and took me like 2 weeks to get in. I moved into another apartment and the process was so smooth and fast, which looking back makes me think I was forced to jump through hoops as I had to provide document upon document to get in. Secondly my unit was just thrown together and looked like it had been a victim to years of shabby repair work. Making 85 percent of the apartment look chopped up. They moved me into a an apartment with damaged cabinets, that where shot and needed a new set to be honest, everything metal was covered in rust, from the door hinges to cabinets and hardware. My a/c unit was damaged when I moved in and was leaking water on the floor and didn't keep the apartment cool, how do you move a tenant in unit without checking something as important as the a/c system. Also do some research on the property management company that runs this place now. Lastly I couldn't renew my lease when it was time to renew, because apparently the property agent decided to have me listed only as a occupant and not an actual tenant on the DL Lease even though I was the only one living in the unit and all rent payments came from my bank accounts and all payments had my name on them . I basically paid 10 grand to stay in a place for a year I had zero claim to..I won't get into it but I believe it was done on purpose.I was also given a move in time which I or anyone else have ever heard of. The only upside is they do "try" and keep the place clean, cats running around all over the place but hey I guess they keep the rats away.
I love Iris Glen Apartment in Conyers..it has been my home for 4 years and its like living with family...we have catered barbecues hosted by our Residential Manager Sharron shes the best..no problem to big or to small for their maintenance team...the property is well kept ..and pet friendly..thank you Iris Glen Staff..
My parents were helping me find a apartment and looking to move in ASAP, came across the village at Iris Glen. The Property Manager literally made this process SO EASY! She was wonderful in assisting us making sure that well taken care of in every way possible. She went above and beyond to make sure the process was seamless. Communication was great , never had a problem getting in touch with her. Overall Customer Service was 100%! Moving can be real stressful, but Sharon really came through for us and I’m greatful for that!
This property has improved a lot since I last tried to apply 3 years ago. I spoke with the property manager Ms. Sharon she was very nice. I explained to her that I called the number on the website and some guy scheduled me a tour. Ms. Sharon kindly explained that no guy is in the office but she gave me her office number. Thank you Ms. Sharon for taking the time out to explain everything to me about the units, availabilities and property. I will keep touching basis with you because I would love to live at your property. I felt the home in the air while I was there. Beautiful property!
After reading the reviews about the property made me second guess my decision of contacting the office but after I reached out and visit the property I was informed that the property was under new management as of late August 2019. The manager was very nice and helpful. She over and beyond to assist me after I explained my situation. She showed my two apartments a upgrade apartment and one that was ready but one upgraded. They both were nice especially the upgrade everything new and beautiful countertops and I didn't see any roaches like one person wrote in the review. Great job to the property manager Ms. Sharon and I will be back. Thank you,
My apartment is full of roaches management does nothing about it mold grows in the bathroom the ceiling leaks the air conditioning units and the heat have no thermostat so you have to wake up in the middle of the night turn either being too hot or to cold you can’t get a good nights sleep there are tremendous potholes in the parking lot
Iris Glen is a great little community, with friendly and quiet neighbors, in a GREAT location central to everything Conyers has to offer! I felt really good working with Ms. Goodloe during the leasing process, and she put me right at ease and is so wonderful to talk to. And hilarious! It's always good when the property management has a sense of humor and is approachable. I know I'll be here a long time, and I know my child and I are welcome. When we stepped into our new apartment, the wonderful maintenance man had even left us a message saying, "Welcome Home!" It was the first thing we saw coming in, and it was so heartwarming.
My time at iris glen has been awesome i thank Ms. Goodloe for all of her help she is always there to help with any questions or concerns of mine and the maintenance staff are always on call i say for any first time renters this will be a good start off.
