Property Ratings at The Views of Minnetonka
Our time here has been a nightmare. The floors and walls are so thin, you can hear everyone around you walking and moving around and talking. We have to keep our fan or A/C unit on to drown out the noise in surrounding units. The windows and doors were installed improperly with huge gaps cut out by the tracks so we are constantly getting box elder and stinkbugs coming from outside and because of the gaps, it’s been freezing this winter. When it actually got negative this year, the temperature inside the unit was the same as the temperature outside. It took forever to hear back from someone - the office left before giving an update on the situation! When the emergency maintenance guy finally showed up he said everyone else had the same window issue. So if you ignore the warnings on here check the doors and windows on your tour. When we reached out to the office about what to do about the problems we’ve been having…it took almost a month to hear back from them! But by far the biggest issue is the cockroaches. We’ve had cockroaches since move in. An exterminator has been out multiple times. They’ll spray and say they can’t find any sign of cockroaches living in the unit, then we get bugs back again a few weeks later because they refuse to treat the entire building and will only spot treat when a unit complains. Save your sanity and live anywhere else.
I picked this apartment because of the view, the layout, how well cared for the apartment was and the friendly manager. Now that I have lived here for over two years, I think it is a wonderful community too. All the other residents I have met are so nice and the manager and maintenance staff go above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. I live on the top floor and it is very quiet. I have nothing but good things to say about Southhampton!
