National publications constantly place Pittsburgh near the top of the list for most livable cities in America, and it’s easy to see why. The city has a rich history as an industrial and economic hub, which led to the construction of many grand buildings and public sculptures which still stand today. Downtown in particular is rich with beautifully preserved buildings and lush public parks dating back well over a century, giving the entire community a timeless atmosphere.
Pittsburgh is split into three sections by the rivers passing through the city: Downtown (a.k.a. “The Golden Triangle), the North Side, and the South Side. Each has its fair share of attractions and landmarks: the North Side is home to Acrisure Stadium and PNC Park (making it a perfect area for sports fans), the South Side features big, beautiful greenways and refurbished steel mills, and Downtown is where you’ll find the most variety in dining, nightlife, and entertainment.

Property Ratings at The View North Hills
I have rented many apartments in my 10 years of stay in US, AION management is by far the worst I have dealt with. I have stayed at the view at north hills previously known as Woodhawk club apartments for 5 years and this place is extremely expensive for the value it offers specially under new management. If you plan to lease - be prepared for poor maintenance and the arrogant leasing staff - they are good only till you sign lease. The leasing offices would hardly pick your call thereafter. They would always complain about short staff and request would not be resolved for months. They would not hesitate to call cops on you if you argue.Lastly they would keep your deposits even for minor issues which could be as simple as pencil or crayon marks on wall - double coat required like seriously. They would never refer the move in checklist and fine at will. AION head office will only give you ticket numbers and no solution. If you love to argue and have ample free time this is the place to be.
Property Manager at The View North Hills, Responded To This Review
Hi Rohit, thank you for your feedback. We're really sorry to hear that you've had such a frustrating time with us. We always aim to improve, and we take your feedback seriously. We know communication and maintenance are key, and we'll be working on doing better in those areas. We also understand how important it is to keep things fair when it comes to deposits and move-in.
This property is not maintained and has terrible management. If you have any concerns or need service requests you will not get anything addressed or it will take several months (not exaggerating). I’m in a newly updated unit with all new appliances and the dryer never worked. None of my shelves are securely screwed into the wall therefore I’m not able to use them amongst other issues. Hallways are dirty and unkept. I’ve tried contacting Aion directly and got no help whatsoever, so they truly do not care about you health, safety, or experience here.
No one listens and no one cares, how big or small is the issue, as they don't have any staff for maintenance.
Garbage everywhere and maintenance says things are fixed when they aren't. Not enough parking spaces for tenants and rude employees.
I would give a zero star if I could because they don’t even deserve a one star. Worst management you could ever see. It takes them months to fix something in the apartment and you would have to call and remind them every single day just to come and fix it and sometimes they don’t even answer your phone calls because they know exactly why you’re calling them or they might just hang up on you. They send a very short notice to empty the parking lot when they have construction working on it and it’s not their fault if your car gets towed because you’re out of town. They keep the trash until it’s flooded and it’s everywhere next to compactor. The trash room is always full and flooded. They raised their prices up to 30% and nothing is improving. Not recommended at all.
Worst management ever. They don't listen to you complaint even if it needs urgent assistance. They have default message for every request .. it's been months some request never tracked down. Leasing office guys as usual has no clue and contact with maintenance. They increased the rent by 30-40% but no improvements in house and service. It's getting worse with time. Please consider other communities for renting strongly not Recommended.
I could type a paper about how poor this property is. The management, maintenance, landscaping, parking, etc is terrible.
If you’re considering living here, im begging you… PLEASE consider living literally anywhere else. They will lease you an apartment, and two weeks before your move in date, tell you that your unit will not be available for 2+ months due to renovations. They will not tell you that the apartment they’re entering into a contract with you on is not suitable for human habitation. They will offer you NO solution. You will be out of luck. You will have nowhere to live. They will NOT help you find other living accommodations. This is the most grossly unprofessional organization I have ever had the misfortune of being involved with. Im sure in the reply below, someone from management is going to copy and paste a canned response saying “we’re sorry you had a bad experience. Please call us at your earliest convenience”. They do not answer emails. They do not answer the phone. PLEASE do yourself a favor and rent with anyone else. Your life will be better for it.
The new management is just as bad as the old management! They ignore maintenance request submitted online, over the phone, and through the app. They allow maintenance to enter the units without prior notice. And when you call or email, they never respond. The rent is way too high to be dealing with this kind of incompetence.
Take a look at the list of amenities. Of those, only the racquet ball court is still functional. The tennis court, volley ball court, car wash area, sauna have not been functional for years. The pool has been closed for 70% of the last three summers, (not counting the pandemic). Management is terrible and rude. DO NOT MOVE HERE. I've lived hear for years and am currently looking to move.
They require a 400 dollar "security deposit" that is not refundable after 72 hours. They will not let you see the apartment prior to the deposit either.
