Situated in Northwest Raleigh next to William B. Umstead State Park, Crabtree Valley takes its name from the popular mall located on its central east side. Glenwood Avenue, which passes through the heart of the neighborhood, contains several other shopping destinations, as well as several restaurants. This is by far my favorite apartment. I’ve moved every year for the last 3 years and I can see myself staying here for the next couple of years. I’ve had no issues with this apartment complex, Scott and the other leasing office staff are wonderful and helpful with everything. The complex is beautiful and well taken care of, the safety aspect of the building is great with key fob access and parking deck. The apartment itself is exactly what I was looking for, spacious and everything updated along with being reasonably priced. Lastly, the location is pretty reflect, even though the mall can cause heavy traffic, I’ve never had an issue getting in and out of the complex. Love it!

Honestly, Tribute is one of the best apartment buildings that I have seen. Scott, has been great with explaining the lease agreement. He has addressed any questions and concerns that I had when I moved in. It’s pretty quiet in this building and everyone is exceptionally nice. Customer service is extremely important to me and Tribute has provided amazing customer service.

The garage fob didn’t work, the garage gates used to get blocked a lot and the management didn’t register me in the call book for a long time after move in so had to get guests from the main gate

I have only lived here since June, and I really like living here. Apartments are quiet and spacious. Also really like having the parking garage. Overall as my first apartment the Tribute is a great place to start, you get perks that are missed by some other places. It was a cheaper rent from other places, I like my cute little apartment. Although the walls are a bit thin and the doors slam all throughout the night it’s really not a bad place. I just wish we had the doors with the passcode setting that would be neat especially with a newer generation.

Over priced. No one follows the rules. Management sends out emails but doesn't follow through.
I’ve been living here for three years before it was taken over by The Waterton management. The new management is much slower in response, terrible fire alarm going off in the middle of the night several times and on top of that they implemented new trash fees. Being out of town for work I often do not have time to bring in the trash while away and received a violation fee without warning. The new management is terrible and does not answer the phone. The new management is not understanding especially during a hard time like during the pandemic. I will be moving out when my lease is over. Hopefully they find better management soon.

There a lot of positives about the Tribute, but unfortunately I cannot live a good review. In our time here we have seen a constant slow response from management and on-site maintenance to repair several problems, such as the street lights above the dog park took two weeks to repair. Our main problem though has been noise. In September of 2019 we reported loud noise coming from the HVAC systems above of apartment. After several tickets and videos of the noise some of the management would stop to hear it. Here it is February and the only answer given to us, is to allow us to move to another apartment, no fee, but our rent would increase, and as the site manager said, "you don't know how loud your upstairs neighbors will be." This leads me to believe that the floors do a poor job of insulating noise. As I said, a lot of good stuff, but the management doesn't care once you sign a lease.

Love the renovation, but it left a lot of paint splatter on cabinets and floors. The walls and floors are thin. You can hear your neighbors walking around upstairs and talking. So not great if you want quiet and to sleep. The amenities are nice, like the package delivery room. But will not be renewing my lease.

The location and amenities that this apartment is second to none, especially at the price point. The biggest con of this apartment is the thin walls, the walls are SUPER thin. You can hear your neighbors coughing, laughing, breathing, ect. That is the only con I can think of so it depends on whether this would bother you or not.

The Tribute offers various perks such as its great location, various amenities and great maintenance staff. However, just as previous posts have mentioned, marijuana smoking is a complaint that seems to continuously fall on deaf ears with management. Better measures NEED to be put in place to address this continued issue! Warning to any potential residents: Ensure you thoroughly check, document, and/or take pictures of any damages or missing items to eliminate being charged unnecessarily!

I have lived at The Tribute Apartments for the past year and I absolutely LOVE living here! I relocated from across the country and I immediately felt a sense of community when I started to move in. A lot of the residents welcomed me right in one Saturday at the pool and made efforts to get to know me and offer to show me the area. In addition to just meeting a few people the office has a program where The Cares Team plans marketing events to gather residents together to meet one another and it really provided me the opportunity to jump in and start making new friends. The office staff was super diligent in making my move in as smooth as possible and welcomed me in with excellent customer service. Overall, the property is kept super clean and the brand new amenity spaces that were recently added really brought more value to the community in my opinion. There are a lot of apartment communities in the area with a lot of competition but I was really sold by the overall community feel that you don’t always find when you move somewhere new. I would definitely recommend The Tribute to anyone looking for a new place to live, you will absolutely love it here

Tribute is very reasonably priced for the location and amenities The 2 things that really make it stand out are the people and the grounds! The property has 3 beautiful courtyards that are used by residents frequently and great landscaping

I have lived at The Tribute since early April and have had a great experience. While the inside was under construction for a couple of months, the living situation was never noisy or unbearable. The renovations were worth the wait. Every time I put in a service request, it's taken care of within 2-3 days. The staff is friendly and very much a part of the day to day activities of the property. If there is an issue on site, it's handled in a professional manner. My favorite part of the property is the new On Demand Fitness Center. It's top notch it it doesn't feel like I'm working out at an apartment complex. Great reviews this way.

I absolutely loved the tribute when i first moved in. Over time things slowly began to fall apart. The construction of the building is absolutely aweful. I could hear my upstairs neighbors dog barking 24/7. Even after multiple complaints, nothing was done about it. Not to mention, the subflooring in the halls was absolute garbage. You would walk down the halls and feel soft spots in the floor. Nothing was ever done about that. The trash chute was clogged multiple times, causing the entire building to smell of trash. Oh and if someone's pet decides to use the bathroom in the hallway, it is generally not cleaned up! They didnt even make an effort to make sure this was taken care of. It was completely unsanitary! They clearly do not pay any attention to background checks or they just think smoking weed is fine because there was constantly an odor coming from somewhere in the building. Also, if you care about your security deposit just know you wont be getting it back. Even if you dont cause any damage they will find something to blame on you. Absolutelu do NOT move here!!

In addition to the poor building design, the management is basically useless. There is a resident that lives somewhere on a floor above me and he/she is potty training a puppy. Sometimes, the puppy gets to the bottom outside door and right before he gets outside, he decides that he can’t hold it anymore and he urinates all over the floor in the staircase. I all I wanted them to do was send out an email and place a sign that says clean up after your pets but that was apparently asking too much because nothing got done despite 3 separate emails with pictures and an in person visit. When I went up front to talk about it, I was told that they were currently “understaffed” and that they would get to it when they could. Lastly, After moving out, they will literally nickle and dime you to death over the littlest things that they know they should not be charging you for. I got charged to replace the carpet that was installed in 2010 because there was a small stain on the padding. How do I know that wasn't there before I moved in? What tenant checks the carpet padding before they move in? For the reasons listed above, I will NOT be recommending The Tribute to any of my friends or anyone I know.
I guess the Tribute does not take background checks seriously anymore. If you enjoy smoking weed this is the place for you. In the last few months, the smell of marijuana has been ridiculous. If you enjoy opening your windows for nice fresh air, be prepared to have to close them quickly. I can not tell you how many times I have come home and my apartment smells like a marijuana factory. Managers say theres nothing they can do about it. STAY AWAY. Many of the neighbors feel the same exact way!!!
I've lived at this apartment complex for 2 years and I don't have any complaints. The staff is very helpful and they truly want to help you. The Tribute organizes free resident socials and other events every month. The apartments are well laid out and have all updated appliances. Many of the apartments even come with a furnished flat screen TV at no extra cost. The maintenance crew is top notch. My microwave broke and it was fixed same day. Once large plus is the parking garage. There is an excess of parking places and guests are welcome. It's very easy to have visitors come and go. Location is great, consider this apartment.
Loving and caring environment that nurtures the community with amazing staff, free events, and resources that go above and beyond for the residents. Today's event was floats by the pool! Free ice cream floats made for the residents. While residents hang out by the pool. I love every bit of this place, staff, and residents. Nothing, but a big family.
The Tribute is well located approximately one mile off the Beltline. There are a number of restaurants within close proximity and Crabtree Valley Mall is just down the street. It is a fairly new building and has been well maintained. The complex offers one, two, and three bedroom units and there are a number of room layouts to choose from for your individual tastes. The facilities might be the best part about the complex. They include a large pool area, 24-hour workout facility, cyber cafe, and gaming lounge, among others. The parking deck offers great protection for your car during the hot summer, cold winter, and occasional rainy day. There is no smoking allowed on the property which can be good for some, bad for others. The staff is very friendly and do an excellent job. Overall, a great apartment complex.
From the very spacious bathrooms, to the large balconies tribute has it all. From the outside Tribute is painted as a work of art. Literally, there's even a giant beautiful art piece in front of the building. The grass is always cut and green, breathing with life. Before even making your way into the actual building, Tribute has high security measures to protect you, the garage (6 stories) is gated. The only way in is via the fob that is provided. Walking in the building you will see that it's a huge octagon shape, with the gorgeous swimming pool in the center with a fountain in then middle. The floors are clean and shiny. From the large game room,workout center and business center you will see every detail has been looked at and made to be luxury. The building has a total of about 6 elevators so when ever you come home their is no wait to get to your apartment. Once inside your apartment you will notice that all rooms include a ceiling fan which is amazing, there ceiling which is 10foot high makes it great for tall people. Inside your apartment you will find that it INCLUDES a 42inch tv already on the wall. If you don't like it (I didn't because i have a 55inch) they will take it down for you. The walls also include Cord Pipes in them so you don't have to view all those cords if you decide to hang it on the wall. Their is so much to speak on about Tribute, it would take forever to discuss all the great things here... So instead of just reading the review come check it out. I'm glad I did.
I enjoy the security of living here, although sometimes the fire alarms go off in the middle of the night. The leasing office is very friendly and knowledgeable. The location of this apartment is great, only 15 minutes from downtown and minutes from Crabtree Valley Mall.
Tribute is AWESOME. I am a recently divorce single mother and the staff is great, the neighbors are quite and friendly, the amenities are phenomenal and I am completely secure with gated parking deck and card access only into the building. So happy that I chose Tribute from only seeing their website when I moved here from Georgia, I will be here for many years!
Safe and convenient to all of Raleigh and Durham. I can pretty much be in any major NC city in mere minutes. There is a huge mall in walking distance and tons of bus stop nearby. I love the controlled access into the building and the gated parking decks.
