Red Mile is really a collection of a few neighborhoods that surrounding the horse racing track for which it’s named. Just a few minutes west of the center of Lexington and the University of Kentucky, Red Mile hosts a variety of affordable apartments and homes, and opens residents up the walkable locale that is Lexington.
Aside from the popular race track, Red Mile is largely residential. If you’re hungry or looking to shop, South Broadway on the neighborhood’s southern edge has plenty to offer in the way of food and retail.
