Castleton, frequently called Castleton-on-Hudson, is a charming village in eastern New York State that’s situated along the Hudson River. Located just under 10 miles south of Albany, Castleton encompasses pristine, untouched New York. Residents enjoy the verdant surroundings of the area, and frequently hike in the wildlife and forest preserves just to the east of the center of the village.
The village itself houses charming local cafes and boutiques, and is where you’ll find most of the rentals, including long-standing apartments and cottages. Interstate 87 across the river and Interstate 90 will carry you up to Albany or down towards New York City in a flash.

We looked and looked, drove down a winding country lane and saw them before us. A rainbow of colors. We knew we were home at last!. A nest of European-style cottages. Adjoining garage, 2 bedroom, 2 bath, woods and a pond at the end of a walking trail. and only six miles from a vibrant city. All this and a 55 and over community as well. We were home!
