The Rise at Northgate

The rise has been super nice! Apartments are nice and front desk have always been extremely nice as well. Hallways always smell nice and are clean.

Really nice place to live! Also, I like that it is really close to campus??

The Rise at Northgate is a great property, close to campus and the management is very responsive and helpful. The property is fairly quite and academic-oriented. Love living here!

I live on the 7th floor of the rise and I am often woken up in the middle of the night by loud people on the pool deck or by people dropping weights in the weight room below that shake the entire floor. I’m also woken up just about every morning because they decide to play music at 7 in the morning really loud that I cannot sleep in. As a light sleeper my experience at the rise the entire semester has been awful. Moving on there always seems to be an elevator that is broken. So if you want to catch an elevator on your way to class, good luck. You’ll be waiting for probably about 10 minutes so might as well take the stairs. Lastly, the entire layout of the Rise sucks. Each bedroom and bath are designed completely different and are not proportional.

The best part of this apartment is the location. It’s closer to my classes than my dorm was! There’s a bunch of good food places nearby. The apartment unit itself is good. The furniture is comfortable for the most part but I’d recommend bringing a mattress topper for your bed.

Staff is helpful and I like all the amenities that it has.

The rise is an amazing place to live as it is right next to campus and just above a cvs. The front desk staff is nice and the management is pretty good. The rooms aren’t the biggest, and can varry from the advertised layout due to the building design, but are overall good

The location of this building can not be beat, especially if you are an engineering major. I can leave my room at 7:50 and make it to my 8am. The workout room is also very very nice. The only downside is that the elevators are very slow.

Served its purpose, it was a good transition from the dorm. A house is more my style.

Guest parking is difficult, need more study rooms, besides that it is a good place to live

It was good experience living here. Close to campus, friendly staff, and good amenities. They need to work on the elevators and sauna though.

Elevators are bad but the rest is good so all together 4/5x

Great location right next to campus, excellent amenities, and helpful staff make the Rise one of the best places to live in college station.

Very convenient and great staff. Elevators are very slow and get backed up a lot. Maintenance is great. Parking is a little pricey. The pool and hot tubs are great!

the location is so convenient. they do a lot of events for residents ! unfortunately the quality of the apt itself is not great... the appliances are cheap. we've had multiple things break. they advertise stuff on their website that isn't there.

Good location, rooms are small but cozy. Living on the 7th floor can be a pain since people at the gym on the 6th floor will drop weights that sometimes make our whole unit shake. Bathroom water is sometimes cold for some reason even when turned to the warmest setting. Also, walls are really NOT very soundproof so having guests over can sometimes be bothersome to roommates; noise from the outside is easily heard so get ready to hear people yelling outside on weekend nights. Overall, good place. Issues are annoying but not unbearable.

The management and staff are really nice and helpful. The location is super convenient, and the cvs underneath is a nice benefit! The security is very friendly and makes the place feel safe. Overall it is a great place to live.

I’ve lived here for 2 years and loved it. Maintenance is so responsive and nice. I messed up on filling out my lease and the Rise went above and beyond on working with me to fix it. It’s a little expensive but a normal price for the area. Would definitely recommend living here.

Compared to all the apartments nearby, it’s cheaper, closer to class, and has more amenities. It takes me a 1 minute to go to engineering class or to go shopping at CVS. Plus they have one of the best gyms of any apartment

Maintenance is so responsive and polite. We had a washing machine break and it was replaced with a brand new one. Everything is fixed within 48 hrs of submitting a request. The front desk student workers are super helpful and friendly. The only thing is that it's pricey. They will NOT cut you a deal on the leasing price. Although, you do get a lot with the location and amenities.

The front desk staff is always so kind and welcoming. The environment in and around the Rise is superb to any other place. The security guards are always happy to help and have a little chit chat at any time throughout the night. Couldn’t have chosen a better place to live!

The convenience of being close to campus make it a super great place to live. The apartment itself is super nice as well.

I liked living here but the elevators are slow sometimes but leave early for class and you’ll be good

The rise is a decent place to live. Since I’m an engineering student, the location is highly convenient. The rooms are also very nice; however there is plenty of maintenance that has been needed since I moved in. I also live on the 7th floor so whenever people drop weights on the 6th floor gym, it shakes the entire floor and is disturbing. The pool area is also right outside my window, so when people are out partying it’s loud. Besides these cons, the rise is a nice place to live and the front desk people are nice and helpful.

The management is poor and unorganized. I wish we had a longer time frame to think about renewing our lease. During the lease renewal process I felt pressured because we were told our lease would be given up if we did not renew by the deadline. Additionally, I referred several of my friends to the rise and I was told 4 different ways by 4 different people on how I was supposed to claim my referral reward. By the time I got the correct method on how to claim my referral reward it was too late. Also during the lease renewal process I thought I was guaranteed to keep my parking spot, but after I renewed my lease I was told that my previous parking spot was not listed on file and because of this I was given an even worse parking spot. In my opinion I believe that a repeat customer should be given higher priority or be given compensation for something that management messed up on. However, despite all of this the location is incredible especially if you are an engineering major because it is right across the street from Zach. The study rooms and in house garage are also convenient. The Rise is a toss up between convenience and poor management.

It is excellent due to the convenience of being so close to Northgate, while also having a good living space.

Overall a great place to live. My only complaints would be that it can get a bit loud by the pool and that the elevators can be slow. Other than that I enjoy living here!

Really great location. There's a convenience store underneath and my classes are only a 5 minute walk. Since I live on the 6th floor, I can take the stairs pretty easily to avoid the wait for the elevators. Rent is cheap for the 6th floor apartments too.

This location is perfect for students, and the gym is one of the best offered. The pool is large and accommodates many. The lounge and billiards room are actively used. My only wish is that the management would fix the following broken amenities: tanning beds, stair climber and SAUNA! None of these were broken when I signed my lease. Elevators are slow, so I take the stairs every day. Saves me a bunch of time in the morning. Over all this is a great place to live! Management PLEASE fix the stair climber and the sauna! I can live without the tanning beds, although they were very nice to use. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the security is tight. I really like living here :)

This is my 3rd year at the rise and I have really enjoyed living here. The proximity to engineering is truly unbeatable. While I've been here the management quality has great increased, I love the number of special events and free food they hold for the residents. Finally, the view from the rise is unbeatable. Highly recommend living here, especially if you're an engineering student.

Great location and very nice but very expensive and the elevators are always breaking

I enjoyed living here a lot because of it’s close proximity to campus. It was super easy to get to and from class and the CVS was so convenient. Maintenance always was really quick and addressed needs well! My biggest issue is parking as there isn’t much guest parking and it’s hard to have anyone over. I also wasn’t able to get a spot in the garage so it’s quite a walk for me on a daily basis!

This will be my second year at the rise. I live the closeness to campus (especially for engineers since all buildings are right next to it). I love management and maintenance staff and how quick they are to help you. My favorite thing is my balcony view which is panoramic and specially pretty since it's from a higher floor. The process for lease, renewal or transfer are super easy! One thing I don't like is how the internet connection is super weak (especially on higher floors). Also, add at least 10 minutes to go to class since the elevators are really slow specially in the mornings due to so many people trying to get to class. Apart from that, I'm definitely gonna stay here until I graduate. It's one of the best living options in College Station.

I love this building so much. It’s so close to all my classes and there are so many restraints nearby. Everything is so convenient (having a CVS downstairs is actually such a lifesaver. Scantrons, makeup, ice cream...etc) they also have pretty good rooms. Down one star because it smells weird in the hallways because the trash near the elevators isn’t always thrown out or just a general cooking gone wrong scent.

I picked up a lease halfway through the year last year and it was the best decision I’ve made! The staff is friendly, maintenance is always taken care of quickly and efficiently (also the nicest maintenance staff EVER), the security always makes me feel safe, and living 20 feet from campus is so convenient. I also love having the CVS access from the elevators. On top of that the modern style and new appliances are aesthetically pleasing. I’ve loved living here!

Great staff and nice amenities. All my maintenance issues have been fixed within 2 days. Convenient location and great place to stay overall. The CVS is so nice to be able to run down and grab anything and there isn’t much of a problem with noise (besides sometimes the pool at night). They offer have resident events with food and desserts which is also a plus
