Located only half a mile south of downtown Worcester, Green Island provides an urban atmosphere and more than enough amenities within walking distance. The neighborhood has strong historic ties to the Crompton family, who helped bring loom manufacturing to Worcester.
Crompton Park serves as the area's main attraction, with sports fields, playgrounds, and plenty of beautiful greenery. Set in a historic building, the Crompton Collective features several independent boutiques, making it the place to go if you want to find a one-of-a-kind item.
You can find most of Green Island's rentals around Water Street and Interstate 280. That area also has quite a few bars and restaurants, from upscale options to quick, affordable diners, such as Bay State Shawarma and Grill.
