Mesa combines suburban living with city conveniences as Arizona's third-largest city. Spanning 143 square miles across the Sonoran Desert, the city features both established neighborhoods and newer developments. At its heart, downtown Mesa hosts the Mesa Arts Center, offering year-round performances and exhibits. The rental market shows average rates from $1,117 for studios to $2,585 for four-bedroom homes, with recent decreases between 0.8% to 2.5% year-over-year. Notable areas include Dobson Ranch with its golf course and lakes, the Las Sendas area near Red Mountain, and the developing Gateway district by Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.
The city's heritage includes ancient Hohokam canals that still shape Mesa's water infrastructure today. Residents enjoy Red Mountain Park's 1,146 acres of recreational space, spring baseball at Sloan Park (home to Chicago Cubs training), and educational opportunities at Mesa Community College and ASU's Polytechnic campus.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Polo Club
I lived at The Polo Club for a little more than 3 1/2 years, until the time that I purchased a house in the nearby neighborhood. I moved to Mesa from Paradise Valley and was worried about the conveniences I was used to - shopping, freeway access, neighborhood overall as I was expecting my first child. I loved The Polo Club. My daughter rolled around the community in her stroller while I walked my dogs on the sidewalks that weave through the property. I had a garage which was a Godsend because I can't part with ANYTHING so this gave me a cool car for my infant and storage too! Our two-bedroom apartment was spacious and had more closet space than my three-bedroom house! I recently recommended a friend who was asking about reputable places in the area. I was happy to hear that a familiar face in the office had returned since my departure, now as the manager. The Polo Club is a great choice for an East Mesa apartment.
We would decide not to leave our apartment in the evening due to not being able to find a spot when we came back! Other than that we loved our apartment. Hopefully, they can figure that out.
The staff is amazing! These are great apartments in a great area. I have loved my time here and will always recommend it to others.
Don’t waste your time and money moving here. Everything about this place is awful! Its old and not maintained well. The interior paint jobs are sloppy. They don't even do a walk thru with you. They give you the sheet and tell you to do it yourself. Its first come first serve basis parking. If you come home late you are S.O.L. and have to park really far from your apartment! Parking spaces or garages are never available for rent. NEIGHBOR here will damage your car[MULTIPLE TIMES] There is no additional outside storage. Only some apartment models have storage closets outside. It makes no sense! The patios are small. Neighbor are saving parking spaces for their family who dont even live here. It is unfair to the people who actually live and pay rent here. There is way too much activity at their apartment all day long..morning..and night! They let their dogs do their business close to your door when there is plenty of area away from the building. Many times her guests/family's members think we not home, come up to our door step and pretended to look around. No reason for them to be here. We don't do that to their front door or windows..No respect for your personal space. Its like the person in line at the grocery store who stands way too close to you. Some space please! Geeze! There are cigarette butts everywhere. Too hard to throw them away I guess or just too lazy. Use a water bottle..they're not that heavy to carry. There sounded like a shooting at 2 am! The neighbors kids are always playing at our front door. The kids are always screaming, throwing things and running in front of our apartment. Never a quiet moment. Where are their parents and why aren't they providing some positive direction!? Geeze! It Doesn't feel safe living here! The employees here give themselves a 5 star rating, and they don't even live here. Manager will not return your calls or fixed problems!
Property Manager at The Polo Club, Responded To This Review
We're sorry to hear that you are so unhappy, although we have been actively trying to work with your apartment on a solution. While our Community Manager has been involved in multiple conversations with occupants of your apartment, we do invite you to come in again and sit down with her, to continue discussing possible solutions to your individual situation. We look forward to speaking further with you!
I moved in a month ago and the apartment was so nasty and so many things need to be done. I put in a work order the day I moved in and it’s now a month later and they still haven’t bothered to fix anything. I’ve called the office 3 times about it and also have emailed the property manager. I have yet to here anything back after 5 days of waiting for a response from the manager! Do not move here you will regret it. And the say remodeled..... hahahaha my Appliances are so old! My dishwasher won’t drain and it smells so bad. My gas stove is so old and one burner won’t light. And my microwave is so disgusting and the microwave handle is broken. Tiles are falling off the shower walls. This is just a small list I have. I promise you will not be happy if you move here! There is never any parking either so u will be walking a distances to get to ur apartment! I wish I never moved here!
Lived here for 3 years and sad to have to leave. Maintenance was responsive and would always address any issues in a timely manner. The staff was great! Couldn't ask for a better experience.
I used to be okay with the lack of landscaping, maintenance, and the lack of outdoor spaces for me and my family but, you will be paying as much as some luxury apartments. Do yourself a favor and pass on these apartments move on to some "real" luxury apartments...
polo club is a great place to live it quite and the people here are friendly. the only thing i would say is maintenance take a while to get anything done and you have to keep calling to make sure that it gets done
I honestly can say i really do like my apartments, I gave it 3 stars because there can definitely be some improvements done. The staff is great and i love the fact i can have my dog there. They do holiday events for the kids and i really appreciate that since i have a 9 year old son. No matter where you live free rent for life is life changing.
