Property Ratings at The Park at Palatine
The office staff was so kind and welcoming. The property was clean and they have a beautiful lake when you first enter the property. I submitted my application today! I am super excited.
Moving to the ATL area for work. Stopped by for a tour and let me say this is probably one of the worst places I’ve stepped foot in. Mold was on window seals and it looked painted over 100 times, obviously trying to cover up the issue rather than fixing it. DEAD ROACHES were in the cabinets (reviews from 5 years ago say the same thing) so obviously they don’t care to fix the problem. Said the previous tenant was clean so it shouldn’t be messy, which makes me think they didn’t even bother to clean it. They said the unit was renovated but it genuinely looked like no work was put into it. I was honestly shocked when she told me it was renovated considering I’ve been to multiple apartments in the area that looked much better that weren’t even renovated. Leasing agent had the audacity to ask what I thought about it when I was ready to leave in 30 seconds. Funniest part is that they wanted over 1k a month in rent to live in a roach infested property. Obviously the staff lies and this place is to be AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE FOR A TOUR!!

The rental rates and availability listed on apartments.com nor the properties website or the amount given when I filled out my application online are what I was told after approval. The price of a 1 bed was higher than a 2 bed listed on here. Much higher.
I went to the place since no one responded to my request for a tour and there are no apartments for rent as of 7 Sep 2022. I asked about the unit on this site they said that its not updated and will be 30 to 60 days before they have a unit open for rent.
If I could give zero stars I would. When I showed up on move in day they neglected to call ahead to let me know my air conditioner was broker and it would be days before it’s fixed (I was moving from another state and it was summer). I had to stay at a hotel for 4 days. Once I moved in the apartment it was barley finished. Things broken, dirty, missing, etc. infested with cockroaches which still have not been dealt with. I sent a detailed list with pictures to the leasing agent who assisted me as instructed. She said everything would be fix but that was a lie. Only half of the list has been dealt with and it’s been 9 months. Not to mention there was a leak coming from the second floor in my bathroom twice. The leak damage the ceiling and you guessed it nothing was done. The manager just asked if the leaked stopped and that was all that was done.
Not only are they not honest they have attitudes when you want them to fix their mistakes. She moved me into a unit that wasn’t even halfway ready, carpet messed up and carpet has STILL NOT BEEN FIXED. I get attitudes when I call up to the office about the MANY things that were wrong In this “renovated” apartment. It’s not ugly, but when you’re missing basic shelves, poles to hang your clothes, roaches during the first week and your carpet was NEVER PROPERLY installed you would be upset as well if you were paying what I was paying (not face value smh) I had to email customer service for small things to get replaced. Their maintenance guy is cool and gets things done but the leasing office ladies are clearly not easy to work with.
PSA!!!!!!!! DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES move to this horrible place!!!! Roaches everywhere, it’s roach INFESTED and the managers or whoever runs the place are liars. I won’t get into detail but I couldn’t get out of my lease here because they lied on their end. Run as far away possible from this place you WILL regret living here as soon as my lease is up in 5 months I’ll be jumping for joy leaving this place and I will make notify as many people as I can through social media never to live here I promise after you read this review find the next place DO NOT MOVE HERE !!!!!! Once again DO NOT MOVE HERE IT WILL BE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF YOUR LIFE . 0/10 if I could give zero stars I would

This is THE WORST COMPLEX IS THE ENTIRE ATL AREA. I came hom to TWO COCKROACHES in my bedroom. My fiancé and I both come from military homes, need I say more? After being insuranced that this complex does not have bug problem, I saw 2 roaches the night i MOVED IN. The exterminators have come to my place 3 times! The staff in the office are keen, which is nice, but they have NO PROBLEM giving clients a hard time! They ty to enforce things that are not in your lease. The property Manager is not involved and has an attitude everytime someome has for his time. Lastly, it takes at least a month for maintenance to come to your home.

The knowledge of the staff is stagnant. They do not return calls, they give excuses to why they are not on point, they tell you the steps that must be taken to move forward, but they do not follow them. They would not honor the prices that was originally found on this site, and again the staff does not know what they are doing. The staff should’ve gone through extensive training before they became leasing agents. Once you pay your money...you shouldn’t have to continuously run behind them to find out what’s next. That’s ridiculous! Seems like this maybe the wrong property to be at. Stop telling the clients:”Oh..I was going to call you today”, but if that was true, then why don’t I have my new address and my move in is a day away and I have to have the Electric and Gas on before move in. Please people...think again.
