Greenwood Village is a small suburban community about ten miles south of downtown Denver. Commuting to Denver is fairly painless—about thirty minutes by car or rail service via the E line. Greenwood Village contains several decently-sized parks and borders the enormous Cherry Creek State Park, a sprawling wooded area packed with trails, a dog park, model airplane field, and the Cherry Creek Reservoir. Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre on the south side of town brings major national touring acts on a regular basis, and provides one of the best outdoor venues in the state.
