Property Ratings at The Otto
The Otto is a beautiful facility. The decorators did an amazing job. However, as others have said, there are thin walls and floors so you can hear people walking above you and talking next door. They also send ALOT of text messages (almost 1-2/day). I get more text messages from them than I get from my friends and family. It gets to be a bit much.
Very happy I made the move here after 15 years in Minneapolis. Amenities/location is great. More importantly, clean, safe, quiet and responsive property managers.
I have lived here for about a year now and I am really enjoying it. The apartment itself has great natural light, updated appliances, very modern and quiet neighbors. I also have a medium sized dog and we really enjoy the pet spa and dog park for him to run around in! I would recommend living here!!
Bright open floor plans with lots of space. Amenities that make having a pet easier like the pet spa and dog run. We love the coffee bar, patios and gym. All close to everything Waconia has to offer.
After staying at The Otto for almost 9 months, I can confidently say that it is one of the best managed properties in Waconia. Right from Katie helping us in a very smooth move in, to being very transparent about all the fees, crystal clear communication, prompt maintenance, and the current management going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable time for all the residents, it has been a great experience for me and my partner. The units are modern, with really nice kitchen appliances and lots of windows for natural light. The units on the back side face a wooded area, which you'll love if you're a nature lover. They have a dedicated package room and the management puts in efforts to arrange packages by floor, so you can find yours right away. The Otto also has great amenities, including a gym with a good variety of equipment as well as a yoga studio. There are also a couple of outdoor areas with grills and seating if you plan on having parties. The theater room is amazing for a movie night. The apartment is pet friendly and there is enough area around the building to walk your dogs or play fetch with them. The location is ideal, being at a walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants. The Target in Waconia is only a 5 minute drive away. For anyone who wants to live in a modern apartment, where the management really cares about the residents, The Otto is a go-to.

I've really enjoyed living here and find that management is very responsive and friendly, maintenance and upkeep of the building are top-notch, my apartment feels spacious with lots of natural light and the community spaces are very welcoming and relaxing. I really enjoy the rooftop patio in the warmer months and the heated underground garage is awesome in winter too. One of the best apartment buildings I've lived in, so I highly recommend!
Great location close to everything Waconia has to offer!
I’ve been living here since the building opened and have enjoyed my time and have no complaints. Staff are wonderful and maintenance requests are handled very quickly. Neighbors are kind and amenities are nice. Living so close to many stores and food options make it very convenient. I would highly recommend living here!
I moved into the Otto 6 months ago and it is the nicest apartment I've ever lived in. We have a large-ish sized dog and a cat, and they love it here too. There is an enclosed dog run and a good backyard for playing fetch. Our cat likes to watch the birds and squirrels in the woods behind the building. The building has many very nice amenities, with staff who are friendly and have good communication.
The Otto has amazing amenities with the upmost qualified and friendly staff. I would recommend this place for my family and friends, 5 out of 5 stars. On top of all of that they do giveaways and truly show they care for the residents.
The apartments have an excellent ease of access to amenities and nearby properties. You are withing walking distance of a grocery store, quick bites, and a plethora of parks.

Great location, beautiful building, and very well maintained! Great place to live!
A peaceful place to live. The location is just about perfect-grocery store and businesses right across the street, but with a great view of the woods on the back side which is hard to find closer to the cities. The staff is quick to respond to any issues. Really nice community spaces indoor and out that are kept clean. The walls are fairly thick, sometimes you can hear neighbors passing by their doorway in the hall but not at all when you're in your unit. Pricing is not outrageous. Would recommend!
Good location, cool amenities, decor and details make it look like a gorgeous upscale lakeside hotel. Maintenance guys are awesome. Free coffee machine, nice club rooms, game room, movie theater, balconies, and the back is a forest that makes for a great view. Wish there was more of a community feel, but that maybe depends on residents’ engagement too. The rooms have thin walls, so you will likely be wakened by your roommate.

My husband and I have been renting at the Otto for almost a year. It has been an amazing experience. Everyone is always so nice. Maintenance is always quick to respond and thorough. The apartments are super clean and really nice to live in. We have enjoyed all the amenities. It has been our best renting experience yet!
I love living at The Otto! This is my first experience with apartment living and it’s done right. They have a nice combo of older and younger people living here. And the amenities don’t disappoint! I like the gym, the game room, the theatre and the patios with the gas fire pits. Letty, at the front desk is amazing! She knows everyone and their dog by name, she’s awesome! The Otto is super close to great restaurants, groceries stores and the hospital. It’s a great place to call home. The only thing that would make it better is having you here! Come check it out, you’ll be happy you did!
The location is unmatched. Lots of grocery, dining, and small town shops just minutes away. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The Otto is an amazing place to live! I haven't done "apartment" living since my 20's and was a little nervous, but from my first visit I knew I was going to enjoy this experience. From the front door to the fourth floor, The Otto offers comfort, cleanliness, and community. Yes, the amenities are all amazing! The outdoor patios show off Waconias woodlands with passing deer and turkeys during the day. Or a cozy fire and glass of wine at night. The theatre room offers reclining chairs and fresh popcorn, which is a great way to spend a night. But the community you feel living here is the best! The staff here is the greatest. They call you by your first name and are quick to resolve any issues that may arise (which are far ans few between). And the community you feel here is like family minus the fights. There are game nights, cookie exchanges, holiday parties and an ongoing puzzle to entertain you. I'm running out of adjectives to describe how great it is living at The Otto. I highly recommend you come check it out for yourself and join our happy Otto family!!
Complete amenities like Gym,Theatre,Gaming Room, Lounge & Good Neighbours! Also bonus is walkable if you wanna go to the grocery or grab something to eat from fast food restaurants without having a car!
This place has tons of amazing amenities, fantastic management, and lots of space to call home. Nice layouts, updated appliances, big windows and a nice view. My only cons are thin walls between units, and people not picking up after their pets (which has been addressed to everybody and we have seen improvement). The Otto is in a VERY convenient location and you can even take a short 3 minute walk to get groceries instead of driving! I would recommend to anyone looking on moving here. (I mean, who can turn down the Pac-Man table and movie theater??) :)

The Otto has been a great place to call home. Has great management that are all so nice and helpful, the area is great, and there are so many things that you can do in building, the theatre and game room are great, and there’s also a gym. The common areas are a great place to hang out and I can’t wait for the weather to warm up to use the decks, especially the rooftop one! Such a great community forming at the Otto.
This complex has so much to offer, all of the amenities, the parking garage, elevators, and the modern look makes you feel like you’re in the nicest hotel! The apartments are nicely designed and have so much natural light from the big windows! The Otto has been a great place to live!

I recently moved into this apartment building on December 1st, 2023, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The amenities offered are top-notch and really enhance my overall living experience. The gym, yogo studio, theater, and communal spaces are all well-maintained and a great addition to the building. I appreciate how quiet the building is. I am able to relax and unwind after a long day without any disturbances, which is really important to me. Additionally, the management team is incredibly friendly and easy to communicate with. They are always quick to respond to any questions or concerns I may have, which makes me feel truly valued as a resident. Overall, I highly recommend this apartment building to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant living environment. The amenities, peaceful atmosphere, and friendly management make it a fantastic place to call home.
The Otto is definitely the best place to live, they have so much to offer, workout room, with attached yoga room, a free coffee bar, WiFi already connected, and ready, you just have to pay for it, a dog run, pet spa, trash, and recycling room, a huge movie theater room, game room, and two clubhouses! Dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, washer and dryer, and they are pet friendly with a dog park!! I didn’t have a pet, but I definitely had to get a cat living here, and she also loves it here! The staff is also amazing, and always willing to help you. You can walk outside, and literally be steps away from the strip mall that has a grocery store, and Chinese restaurant. I’m so glad that we chose the Otto for our home!! Choose the Otto, you definitely won’t regret it!!
