The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at NIC on 5th
If you love poor customer service and being ignored look no further you found your new home. I have attempted to call and talk to someone about leasing a 1 bedroom apartment for the past week and have yet to receive a single phone call. I spoke with both Keith and Erin that work at the concierge desk who were both very pleasant to speak with but could not assist me with the leasing situation. They referred me to speak with Kirby. I have attempted to reach Kirby multiple times but at this point I feel like my odds of hitting the lotto are better then receiving a call back from him. I was exhilarated when the assistant manager Kelly finally emailed me back but she was honestly very little help. She informed me that she attempted to call me three times but received a busy signal each time she called. I want to give Kelly the benefit of the doubt but it’s hard to believe anything this staff has to say at this point. I asked Kelly for a direct line to call her just minutes after she emailed me and she told me email works best and if I wanted to speak with someone call Keith (spoke with him three times this week).I feel like the staff at the nic on fifth would make great personal trainers with how much they have me running around. If management wanted to reach me my number is on multiple emails and at least 4 voicemails. Beautiful apartment horrible staff. I’m not one to leave reviews but I feel like people deserve to know the experience I went through.

I recently took a couple of tours at The Nic on 5th. My experience was so great! I worked with Mino and she was so professional and informative! After seeing the available units, her communication with me was perfect . So quick to respond to my emails, and took every call/appointment I needed to help familiarize me with the property. This place was elegant and high-end compared to many others that I've toured in mpls. Very nice decor. It didn't feel cheep the way so many mpls rental props do. The quality and finishings of each unit were by far the best I've seen in any rental property in the city! It really felt like a home, but inside of a lavish hotel with amenities that you would get in a grand hotel nationwide . Each person(residents) I saw during my tour seemed to be a very professional type and very together. So i'm thinking a pretty great group of neighbors to meet and socialize with. I am super excited to make a move to The Nic! I decided to wait until spring, and Mino was so accommodating. She understood that my timing was a bit off for my move this summer/fall, and made me feel okay about waiting until it was right for me. This was after she did a lot of work and almost putting a contract together. I got the impression she just wanted me to be happy in my decision and would be there for me at any time to make it work. Amazing service! It just left me with a great feeling that The Nic would be a great place to call home!!
It is very sad that such a nice building in a nice location with great tenants has such a terrible management team. They make so many mistakes and don't respond to emails. They make false accusations against people and never apologize for their mistakes. Save yourself the stress, this place is not worth it. Negatives: 1.Only 3 elevators in the whole building. Two are standard and one is a freight elevator. The latter is used many times when people are moving in and out or order big items. The building was down to one elevator for about 3 weeks. They would open and close them throughout the day and would try to keep two working during peak hours. We had about 20 people in the freight elevator stepping on each other's toes many nights. They did give us free cookies yay! 2. Very bad management. They do nothing but cause stress and problems. If you need something, they will exacerbate the problem. I am not sure how they still have jobs. They always act like they are doing you a favor. Horrible people. 3. Lots of construction noise but it has come down over the last couple months. 4. Cheap interior finishes. Really really cheap 5. Mail has been lost numerous times 6. Don't properly clean your room when you move in. When we moved in it was all dusty and dirty. It was as if the construction workers just left. 7. Very high energy costs for what you use. In the winter they charge you for what the community uses. Its not a very fair practice. Summer utilities are not too bad, but Winter utilities are extremely high. Beware Positives 1. New building 2. Friendly tenants 3. Good location 4. Close to many workplaces Bottom line, if you don't want to be stressed by poor management and waiting a very long time for an elevator and living in an overpriced building, stay away. If management were good, it would be a great place, but their mistakes and attitudes will be very frustrating and prevent you from being happy.
