Property Ratings at The Meadows Apartments
In my opinion, I would give zero ratings if it was an option. I applied online for an apartment here in November 2018 and paid the online fees including a 500 USD deposit. I really wanted to move in but I found an apartment with a walk-in closet nearby and I withdrew my application within 3 days as stipulated. I am walking in and out of their office since the last 4 months to get my deposit back and I still don't have it. The lady at the desk just keeps telling me "we will get in touch with corporate" without even asking for my name or other details. If this is how they treat customers, I am glad I did not lease with them as I don't know how they would treat me once my lease got over - in terms of refunds
Independently owned and operated so there is better prices and more responsive staff. Leasing team is excellent and the best bang for your buck in the area. Lots of greenery.
It is a regular apartment complex with hundreds of residents. The location is close to freeways. The rooms are good, kitchens and bathrooms tiny. The best way to describe it is adequate - not great but not bad either. It is a 30 year old complex so there are some issues with it. Exterior repainting was done a few years ago. Floors creak bigtime and can disrupt your sleep, especially if you have fairly active upstairs neighbors. No inside laundry - limited hours for common laundry. Bugs here and there, but not too much. Maintenance staff is good and such problems are fixed fairly well. Overall an average apartment. The only reason that is fancy about it is the rent which keeps getting high. I guess the reason they charge so much is because they can!
Very friendly staff working in the leasing office. Also, the repair request is responded within a day. Heated pool and giant gym is definitely a plus. We got one covered parking and have no problem to find an uncovered parking. However, the parking space is a bit small. Need to be extra conscious to park and take off. And there are too many trees in the complex, so a bit dark in the apartment
I have lived here for 2 years. The outside and inside the units are nice, but the maintenance needs major improvements. The management staff are nice. This complex needs major work in order for me to stay.
I have lived at The Meadows for over 2 years and have had a great experience. It is very pretty and peaceful living here. The apartments are spacious and luxurious. They come with a huge storage area outside that can store my bikes, boxes, and luggage. The apartments are close to Central Expressway so getting to places in Sunnyvale, Mountain View, and even Palo Alto is pretty convenient. The staff do a very good job of addressing resident complaints and making any repairs quickly. The best part about living here is that I get to bike to work. If we could go back, I would still choose living at the Meadows over all the other places we looked at. It is just a really nice, peaceful place to live.
