If you are looking for a bustling shopping and business district in the Atlanta area, then the Perimeter Center neighborhood is the spot for you. Anchored by Perimeter Mall, Perimeter Center is one of metro Atlanta’s largest commercial districts.
Perimeter Center straddles the Perimeter itself, a boundary outlined by Interstate 285 that separates Atlanta from the suburbs. Although a portion of Perimeter Center is considered a part of Atlanta, the area is also comprised of Brookhaven, Dunwoody, and Sandy Springs, some of the city’s most popular suburbs. An abundance of shopping centers and restaurants surround Perimeter Mall, so residents have easy access to plenty of amenities.
High rises filled with offices of major companies like UPS and three major hospitals — Saint Joseph’s, Northside, and Children’s at Scottish Rite — are in Perimeter Center as well.

Property Ratings at The Lofts
Horrible experience/ poor staff
The Lofts is a special place. I feel that the complex is a kind of neighborhood and community too. The pool is a great facilitator of friendships and makes the place very sociable which is nice. The problems with the rats and poor maintenance has taken the bloom off of the rose and many formerly happy tenants are planning to move - unless things improve dramatically.
The Lofts are a beautiful apartment complex with great amenities. However, due to Covid 19, they do not have a maintenance crew that can handle any non emergency needs. I have lived here for 2 months now and NONE of my maintenance requests have been met because they only have one person who also helps out with the Drexel, the next door apartment complex. There is a lack of security as several residents swim in the community pool between 2-6am which are not the pool hours. Also, several residents park in the no parking zone near their apartment blocking the road to exit out of the resident gate at all hours of the day and night. I have taken pictures and emailed the staff yet this continues in a daily basis. As far as my unit is concerned, I really like it here, minus the ant and roach problem. If The Lofts would hire more maintenance staff to take care of their residents and their needs, then this COULD be a wonderful place to live as the amenities and scenery are beautiful here.
Maintenance in terms of performance is great and satisfactory. The system for submitting such requests on the online portal is abysmal and statistically proven in my experience to be not work. How am I supposed to get my requests through?
The Lofts is nice, clean, secure. and convenient to stores. Management is nice and courteous. I have lived here six years and been satisfied, except my rent has gone up every year except this year, and for that reason, I have considered moving, as I can't afford an increase in rent.
They recently decided to have a parking service come and ticket your guest if they have not registered to park there. The problem is that they only give you 24 hour blocks and you can not re-register prior to your 24 hours, so if they are staying for a weekend, and they forget to re-register? Yeah that is a $45 ticket a couple hours or less later. Alliance ruined this property and I will be looking to find my way out of this lease, this was put in place just after I moved in October. Stay away. This is just one of my complaints.
There has been a spree of break ins and car thefts recently at this complex and the adjacent complexes. Management does not seem to really be doing anything about it or care. Would not recommend living here. Do not let the pretty apartment and gates fool you.
This is a beautiful community. I've been living here with my partner for about 9 years now and must say that we will be moving shortly. The new management company (Alliance) has one lady in the leasing office (Shayla) whom in my opinion is incompetent. She sits in the back office all day with the leasing office glass door closed to appear unavailable, does not answer the telephone EVER nor does she respond to emails. Her favorite line when asking her to do something or follow up on something she always says "I'll check on that and get back to you" then she never does. We've been waiting on unaddressed issues for almost 2 months now. I don't even think there is property manager onsite and no after hour emergency maintenance. This place has become a running joke amongst residents. Several of my neighbors will be moving as well. This place is too expensive to have incompetent uncaring people in the office! This was a five star community now I'm giving it one star!
I have lived in the community for a while and have watched the property manager and leasing staff change over several years. When I first moved in, the staff seemed very professional and the community was clean and felt safe. From my observation, the leasing staff will determine the quality of residents that will move into the community. The quality of residents that have moved into the community makes me start to feel unsafe living in this complex. This evening I smelled a hallway full of marijuana while walking to my apartment. Gone are the days when you pulled into the community parking deck, and could tell by the cars in the garage that you lived in one of the nicer apartment complexes in Dunwoody. The parking deck in now filled with mostly beat up and raggedy cars. The halls are filthy and the floors in the hallway are flat out disgusting. The quality of residents that move in cannot afford the rent that the old resident are currently paying. It seems like they let them in just to make money off the units long enough for the residents to be evicted for not paying rent (that they couldn't really afford in the first place even with all the heavy promotions) and then they move more crappy residents in the unit (and the cycle continues). The new residents are coming in under cheaper promotions. The Lofts is no longer one of the more upscale apartment complexes in Dunwoody. At night or early in the morning, you can expect to be awaken by cars pulling in the complex playing loud music. One night I pulled into the parking garage, there was a group of young guys sitting on a car in the deck, smoking, and checking out all the residents that drove into the garage. A few weeks back, a new neighbor moved in, and twice there has been already been a guy yelling and banging on her door. The hallways are just nasty and never clean. With the change in management and the staff over time the community has gone down and lacks integrity. It seems they will rent to anyone just to make a sales commission. Molly in the office is very rude. I don't like living here anymore and it does not feel safe with the quality of residents that they are now allowing to move into the complex. It is only a matter of time before robberies will occur in the complex due to the new residents that they are allowing into the community. This was not always the case. The staff and property manager has everything to do with who your neighbors will be.
This place smells amazing and is very clean! I can't wait to more in. From the moment you walk through the front door this is luxury! Thanks Steve!
Made an appointment and paid a visit on Saturday morning. However, the staff talked in a most inhospitable way. I came with an expectation for this beautiful apartment. After talking with this old lady, I changed my plan and went to visit another apartment without visiting a single unit.
Great place to live in a great area. The property is very peaceful and the staff is quite helpful especially Asia, such a sweetheart.
Hello, i would like to provide honest feedback on The Lofts Perimeter Center. I no longer live there, unfortunately I had to move for a job relocation, but The Lofts was my home from August 2011 to last month. I must say the apartments and the grounds are top notch. Before signing my lease at the Lofts, I must have looked at 2 dozen apartments in the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs area. The Lofts I looked at last, I was instantly sold. No other apartment I have lived in or seen has so much attention to detail - granite counters, crown moulding, stainless steel, built-in bookshelves, wood floors. I was one of the lucky ones to have a courtyard patio with a gate next to a fountain. Now I am in another nice apartment in FL, but makes me appreciate the Lofts. Completely builder spec, nowhere close to the furnishings at the Lofts. The groundskeepers and maintenance crew do their best every day to make the complex look like a resort. Never once had I had to wait for a maintenance request. The office staff has been great. I am constantly on the road for work, so anytime i needed anything, even to check on my apartment or collect my mail, the crew at the office took care of it no problem. Is the Lofts Perimeter Center the cheapest place in Dunwoody, not at all. Is it worth the premium, I definitely think so. My experience there has been amazing. Moving from NYC to ATL and not knowing a single person in the city, the neighbors and staff went out of the way to make it feel like home. A lot of resident events - pool parties, wine nights, social gatherings, etc. We had a lot of BBQ's and get-togethers in the courtyard. The neighbors are great, and most of my best friends I've met were because of my time in ATL at the Lofts. i just hope my old apartment is available when i come back in two years, it is home! This is an honest review, from a resident from August 2011 to March 2017.
Good clean new apartment in a residential area. Community keeps good events such as social dinner, pool side gettogether, maintenance issues are addressed promptly - be it AC, lighting. Second bedroom does not have same amenities as the first - cupboard section or fan (not to mention room and closet size) 5 day continental breakfast (although one cannot have the same morning food on more than few days). Painted recently leasing office is a little strict on fee and communication levies fines without complete background.

A wonderful lifestyle living at the lofts with a gorgeous salt water pool, water falls, and weight room. This is a perfect place to meet and greet your neighbors. A peaceful setting on the grounds to read or barbeque on the grill. Restaurant and mall is in walking distance, it's truly a great place to live.
