The Lodge at Mallard Creek Apartments

The personnel is nice. My issue was that I had to switch apartments the day of move-in and some things need repair or replacement. Staff is willing to resolve the issues, its just taking longer than I thought, expecting them to be done upon move-in or quickly thereafter. Property is quiet and well kept and best of all... no bugs, other than spiders and the occasional gnat. Pool is nice, but there are no restrooms so plan accordingly.

Avoid at all costs unless affordability is your only priority. Living at The Lodge at Mallard Creek has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. While the rent is relatively affordable, the list of issues far outweighs the one benefit. Security: My car was broken into twice, and nothing meaningful was done in response. The lack of security is deeply concerning, and it feels like management doesn’t take tenant safety seriously. Cleanliness & Maintenance: Roaches are a recurring issue, and the appliances in the units are completely outdated. On top of that, there’s visible mold, and maintenance is either unresponsive or performs the bare minimum when they finally show up. Leasing Office: Perhaps the most frustrating part is the lack of communication and accountability from the leasing staff. One leasing agent even lied about the unit’s listing details before I moved in. When brought up, the response was essentially, “tough luck.” There’s a clear disregard for residents once the lease is signed. Nothing about these situations was handled in a professional or satisfactory manner. I strongly do not recommend this apartment complex to anyone unless you’re truly out of options. Rent here at your own risk

Pretty quiet neighborhood, haven’t had any troubles since moving in. The buildings could use a good power washing tho to get rid of cobwebs ect

Dont like it appliances are raggedy and broken. Management wouldnt replace it. Very dissappointed with management when I first moved in. I'm hoping new management are better and more on top of things.

The staff are the most kindest charismatic people. They really take the time to consider your wants and needs when it come to finding your perfect apartment.

Management took care of my apartment and it was clean. Maintenance made tge repairs to the outlets. Plus, the bathroom was cleaned for the most part

I like it so far since I’ve moved in. It’s quiet and not too far from downtown. It has its pros and cons but definitely not at bad place to live.

I love my apartment at The Lodge. It’s spacious and has covered outdoor space. I haven’t needed many repairs, but when I did they were efficient. I don’t have pets, but it would be nice to have a dog park that has activities for the dogs to play. Also, with so many cars in the car park a car cleaning center would be great. Thank you.

Friendly office staff, great location.Easy to get to 485 and 77. Near grocery stores and gas stations. Renovated and unrenovated apartments.

An excellent community that I truly love. Calm community and courteous staff. I would love to live in this community for three years or more.

Nice place to live. Floors are a but thin & look cheap, so be careful when moving furniture. Try not to drag it or it will scape & tear up the floor very easily.

The apartment is nice and it has great space; one of the more affordable apartments I have found in the area that has decent space. However, the amenities are only accessible when the office is open (Mon-Sat, 9am-6pm), which is when most people are working. The property is not very clean; no one on staff cleans the common areas such as staircases and hallways and the trash area is a disaster.

The staff is superb. Office is always immaculate. The ownership leaves MUCH to be desired. Lease renewals on done algorithmically, with no human oversight and zero negotiation. The company makes it impossible to get ahold of anyone. If it wasn’t for the office staff and SINGULAR full time maintenance person, this complex would literally crumble, because the owners refuse to actually invest any of the exorbitant rent they are collecting.

Worst community everything been, When I moved in the hall and kitchen were not property clean, There were some clothes in the drier which they didn't remove, kitchen light stopped working after two days, fridge not working properly which they said they ll change it but after a week no response. General cleaniness is poor.

The move in was smooth. It took a little bit for some things to be fixed, but they got it done. Only thing about the apt is that the floors seem to be a bit thin & cheap. Easy to damage. Be careful when sliding things across the floor.

The staff has been most helpful and attentive to my needs from the time that I moved in until now. They are all so nice and the most important feature for me was having a nice clubhouse and garage. I love seeing the neighbors out walking and playing with their children. I just love it here.

It’s very quiet and peaceful out here…You can hear a pen drop. The staff is wonderful along with the maintenance…they get the job done without any hesitation. I can truly say The Lodge will be where I reside for the next couple of years…

I have lived here for two years now and I am pleased with how fast maintenance responds for repairs, and, with how quiet the complex is throughout the day, and night.

Very professional staff, my experience was great they were understanding and made sure I got into a apartment that was suitable for me and my family.

Whomever you guys have clean these apartments, they need to do a better job and they need to hit all the nooks and crannies. Other than not having a hub or it not being connected which means I can’t control anything from the app everything is fine.

All the staff I’ve met have been helpful and friendly. The residents quiet and nice. The complex and my apartment are beautiful and well maintained. It is either very quiet or very well insulated. Perfect for me!

Minor damages to unit but the staff is friendly However they could be more on top of things like making sure the unit is in great condition and keeping future tenants updated without the tenant having to keep calling for updates and next steps in the move in process. Overall I’m pleased with my move

Process was quick and swift current management of when this was written is great! Maintenance is on top of their game. Everything you’d want to do is within 20mins of here too! Also family friendly area

I love the area I’m at very quiet and peaceful, the parking is very convenient. All my neighbors keep to themselves. There are a few who are friendly and don’t mind lending a help.

The residence and area is pretty decent. A few updates needs to be made such as the HVAC units and a few appliances in the kitchen. Other than that it’s a pretty decent place to live.

Staff was very helpful and professional. Goldie was a Godsend. Community is very quiet and neat. The grounds are kept up. Very family oriented and so far friendly neighbors.

Maintenance doesn’t seem to quick to respond to request without you following up to make sure they actually come but other than that it’s fine

The amenities are not convenient for the residents if the leasing office is closed. The leasing office is closed on holidays, 5:00 pm on Saturday and not open on Sunday. The property is beautiful and the staff is friendly.

Awful management. Greedy. Neglecting. Backstabbing. Bad hygiene and care. Maintenance is poor. Pests swarm everything. No security and many thefts

It's fine, with the amenities were available during more convenient hours. Right now, the big selling features (the pool, billard table, movie theater) are only accessible from 9am-6pm, when the office is open and is closed on Sunday. When you work 8am-5pm everyday (commute time means I am not home from 7:15am-5:30pm), then it is nearly impossible to enjoy the amenities.

Disclaimer! Our property staff are complete rockstars! Five stars across the boards! Their attention to detail and care for their tenants is amazing, their professionalism is great. I DO love living here, the ONLY thing making this living arrangement difficult, is the ownership and their sheer lack of urgency to update the infrastructure Necessary to a tenant’s right to peaceful enjoyment of their property. I’m currently going on three weeks (and it first breaking six weeks ago) with on/off issues with air con, machine breaking, the owner’s personal hvac team coming out and assessing, informing me “this is definitely on its last season, best to not run it below 70°” It breaks my heart that such an amazing office staff is throttled by financial ties that prevent the property from being potentially one of the best in north Charlotte simply because the people collecting all the inflated rent profits from their “luxury” apartments are refusing replacing AC units from the 80s and 90s.

Once approved and move in date came it was fast quick and easy. However, the apartment wasn’t move in ready because there was hair left behind from previous tenants in cabinets and drawers. There was mold in my toilet and toilet seat. Items from previous tenants were still in cabinets. Lights are dim and dishwasher doesn’t work at all. Tub was filthy as well as the washer and dryer like it’s never been cleaned. Met upstairs neighbor and they are rude and stomp a lot especially early in the morning. Over all wit the speedy move in, location, and great amenities it is a quaint place to live.

Super duper! Nice little oasis in the greater Charlotte region. The pool rules aren’t exactly inclusive (they only run during office business hours, so no Sunday fundays at the pool *sadface*). But in all honesty, I can’t imagine being anywhere else.

Started off a little rough with the maintenance and how the apartment was upkept. After high mark got involved everything was done very quickly and efficiently.

My apartment is not up to par but hopefully they’ll continue to work on it. The property manager is so sweet and professional I love her energy.

So far, it has not been great. I moved into the apartment and tons of repairs needed to be done (mold, rust, rotten wood, sewage issues). Repairs have been attempted, but not completely fixed. Management has not reached out for follow-up.

Car windows are frequently being broken to steal belongings. There is no proper lighting, cameras, fencing, or gate. For this rent, you can find a better place to live. Additionally, the apartments are not soundproofed. We are moving out. If you care about your safety, do not consider this property.

I’ve been on site renting for seven years now. The complex has ceertai lay had its ups and downs with property management and ownerships turn overs, but right now, things are going swimmingly. The customer service and tenant care by the current office staff is great, and attention to detail is amazing. James in the front office is super helpful and more “hands on” than I have ever seen from an office worker. It’s worth checking out if you’re in the market.

Great can’t complain. Good amenities. Good maintenance service for the most part. Clean community. Nice neighborhood park. Could use more community events for families and children.

It’s very nice my maintenance requests are always handled quickly. The neighborhood is also very peaceful and quiet. I have also enjoyed all the amenities the complex offers.

Parking has got worse, leasing agents don’t provide good customer service when you ask questions everything is I don’t know! Upkeep decent, maintenance was slow to complete tickets when I first moved in but they have got better, pest control don’t actively spray because pest issues have arisen.

Good neighborhood. I love that security is now around at night. The trash could be cleaned better especially since we pay a trash fee and the park could be upgraded and cleaned regularly. Maybe a good pressure wash since the pollen is all over the play equipment.

Very disappointed, It was dirty roaches mice dropping ang broken appliances. torn screens damaged doors. No mail box key. Just was horrible communication.

love it , it is a very clean and safe neighborhood! One of my favorite features are the amenities. The neighborhood has a lot to offer, with very responsive security!

A quiet neighborhood that can use work around the premises such as upgrades throughout the property, especially inside the homes. Maintenance could also do a much better job at actually fixing the problems.

It’s a beautiful neighborhood and peaceful with I love. I’m also in love with the smart house. I love my layout of the apartment. I just moved in so I’m loving my experience so far. I also love the fact if u want a cleaning service at anything it’s available.

My stay here at my residence, The Lodge at Mallard Creek, is pretty good. Maintenance team is fast with their services and the staff are pretty nice. They could update a few things in the apartments but other than that it’s a good place to stay at.

my husband and I were super exited to get more space and James was super helpful in fulfilling our needs ! after touring other places, the vibes and customer service here are impeccable, no question is a inconvenience for them and we’re truly grateful for the experience and to join this community ??thank you James !!! -Lopez’s
