Property Ratings at The Lennox
don't even know how to explain my disappointment. I’ve been here for 14 years and have never had an issue, Nothing! I pretty much grew up here. I was wanting to leave the complex because I’ve had so many issues with the current unit I’m in for a while, cracks in the ceiling, toilet issues, refrigerator issues, sink issues, rodent issues, etc. I wanted to end my lease back in October because I thought it was time to move on maybe even look into getting a house…but the manager at the time convinced me to stay because of the fact that I have been here for so long, I signed a lease with her. We have several emails together with confirmation. I’m supposed to move into a new unit that apparently is upgraded at the same rate that I’m at now no additional fees because I’ve been here for 14 years and they really want me to stay. Well, literally days before I'm supposed to move in the prior manager has left the complex l meet with the new property manager | believe her name is Mari Rodriguez. she couldn't give two shiz about me or the fact that I've been here for years. I begged her and l also advised her I have a signed lease from the prior manager. Prior manager really did Care. I tried to contact corporate. They never called me back. I tried to contact the property manager Catherine with a K. Never heard back they are offering free two months and letting people live here two months free of charge then these people leave but yet I've been here years. I'm talking 14 years and this new manager gives 0. I also know for a fact of other residents that have probably been here a year who have had no issues upgrading to a different unit .
This place is the worst, I have had multiple issues with AC not working, mold in the apartment and now rodents. I have not been able to use my kitchen in weeks, because there are rats in the pantry, under the cabinets and rat droppings throughout the apartment. I have to baracade myself in my room just to sleep. I have gone to the front office multiple times and the assistant manager only gives me traps to solve the problem. This place is unlivable, disgusting, and you will never be able to talk to a "manager" unless you go to the office and they still won't help you.
The management of this property is truly the worst. They allowed me to live in an apartment for 5 months without AC in TEXAS. My apartment was 82-92 degrees for 5 straight months and they did nothing to help but give me a single window unit. Live literally anywhere else.
I’m over 30 years old and this is the first time I have ever been compelled to leave a negative review for a business. NOT CLEAN I have lived in many complexes and the Lennox is the only one that did not feel clean when I moved in. Damaged , dirty areas were just painted over. It smelled unpleasant and there were smudges and grime left for me to clean up. Roaches were present from day one. There were cracks in the floor and wall where they would crawl in and out of. NOT VERY PET FRIENDLY The dog park fence has giant openings so that small dogs can easily run in or out. Another dog (non-resident) aggressively ran INTO the dog park from the outside and made contact with my dog before I grabbed it. My dog was fine but the stranger’s dog scratched and bit me and I had to carry it out the front gate to give it back to its owner. I’d be cautious of even letting a medium sized dog run in the Lennox dog park - if it is flexible, it could squeeze through the fence too. CRIME Two different nights I heard gunshots. Our mailbox was broken into on multiple occasions. One neighbor had a box stolen from her porch and another had his car broken into and AirPods stolen from the center console. OUTDATED, BROKEN WASHERS AND DRYERS My husband and I have lost over $20 collectively due to old washers and dryers not working. The washers take your money then leave pools of water in the machine so your clothes are still wet are a full cycle. UNPROFESSIONAL MAINTENANCE I can’t speak for all the workers, but one in particular let himself in unannounced *two weeks after* I had asked for something to be fixed. It happened again another time that I had NOT made an appointment. Policy should require them to call beforehand. It’s pretty creepy that they feel entitled to enter whenever they want. UNREASONABLE MOVE-OUT CHARGES A lot of exaggerated fees after move out, even though we vacuumed and left nothing in the apartment. We were charged over $200 in vague cleaning fees and didn’t get our deposit back. I have rented at nicer places and I never had an issue of not getting my deposit. The irony is that we were charged so they could do a deep cleaning even though we never received one ourselves. I could go on…
I have lived here for more than 2 years and burglary is happening frequently. A lot recently than before. Apartment doesn't take any responsibility even though the gates been open for weeks (they didn't fix it in weeks). Advice for potential tenants: Try to find apartment that is on top of taking care of the property and try to help tenants. Even though their hands are tied up try to investigate it and sympathize with residents. The lennox didn't do any of it. find different apartment not this one.
We have lived here for almost 8 years and I loved this place when it was Vizcaya. Ever since the new company Lennox took over this place turned into a dump. Front staff is dressed inappropriately. They don’t greed you. Plus when you confront them with issues they are not helpful at all. It took them months to get our toilet fixed. All they care about is money. Our lease did not get renewed after living here for almost 8 years I guess in their eyes we complained to much about legitimate problems we had. I would not recommend this place. It’s not safe to live here anymore. Cars get broken into. They gate is is always broken. Maintenance people seem cool but that’s about it. They have managed to drive away tenants that have been here for many years with their tyranny. This new company Lennox is definitely trash
This place has homeless people walking around office has new people every other week they don't want to be bothered with your concerns or issues all they care about is money and they never answer the phone
When I first moved in here the staff was friendly, maintenance issues were fixed fast, roving security was here from 9pm until 7am. However, fast forward to now (2022) the management company is crap, maintenance is a joke, no security, the fence and the gate is always broken, everyone in the entire neighborhood uses the pool and I no longer feel safe. I have resisted moving because of how much of a hassle it is, I WILL be moving when my lease is up, this place is a joke. Rents and fees have increased (for some by hundreds of dollars) but nothing gets better. They had a painting crew in here for 2 weeks before another crew had to come to finish the job. Why you say? The first crew was spying on women and trying to get dates with them. That should give you an idea of the "level" of people they are hiring now. Talk about a change of management. Stay away, stay very far away. The renovated apartments "look' nice, but that is as far as it goes.
They do not help you with any concern that you have. Never answer the phones. The gate is always breaking. The employees dress in unprofessional club attire. Maintenance is incompetent. Would never recommend
