The Lake Wales neighborhood, located about 15 miles from downtown Winter Haven, considers itself out of the ordinary, but in a good way. No place defines that more than Spook Hill, where objects actually roll uphill instead of down.
When you have an apartment in Lake Wales, you feel like you live right in the middle of history. The neighborhood has several historic landmarks, including Bok Tower Gardens, a great place to go to relax, and the Depot Museum, which is perfect for railroad enthusiasts.
Of course, when your neighborhood has a lake, that's naturally the main hangout. Lake Wales doesn't disappoint, whether you want to go boating for the day or just cast a line off the fishing pier. If you don't catch anything, you can always have dinner at Crazy Fish Bar & Grill, an eclectic, casual restaurant that fits right in with the rest of the neighborhood.

Property Ratings at The Landings Apartment Homes
Reported in August about kitchen floor being soft ,sunked in and collapsed, they didn't fix the issue resulting of that I fell through the kitchen floor in December of 2022 causing i huge hole in rhe floor, instead fixing the issue they waited out until it was time to renew my lease to NOT renew it in March 2023, every time I go to the leasing office there's new employers so they just blame everything on the last property manager, never know who to talk, there's atleast 4 tenant there they has open law suit for falling through the floors! DO NOT recommend
Rent is not that expensive. My water heater caused a flood in my apartment, they replaced the water heater in no time and cleaned my carpet. My personal belongings didn’t get damaged. I will say they need to switch to central air and heat. The neighborhood is quiet. Nice neighbors.
The communication at this property is surprisingly subpar considering that the office is on site. It's a miracle to reach the property manager who either barely answers the phone or is not in the office at all during working hours and I do mean in the mornings and mid-shift hours, not lunch hours. I've had issues with critters and insects making their way into my apartment and some damages that needed to be promptly addressed but were ignored for months. The neighborhood is very peaceful and the neighbors are as well so that is a plus. Still waiting to get my deposit back or some communication regarding it.
The service here with management is terrible and they don’t know how to take our payments because they keep continuing to say we’re late when people are paying. Don’t move here
