I just moved in January and I couldn't believe how quickly I was approved. I thought I would be put on a waiting list. I was approved within 5 days off submitting my application. It's in a great area you're about 20 minutes from West End. The office staff are very helpful as well. Definitely recommend this place for futures residents.

I saw the review of "renter beware" and the response. I have not seen an apartment complex without lockers in forever, and would most definitely stay away from due to the sheer number of theft, let alone the packages outside in the cold and heat, even if covered, at all. Huge red flag for me.

Older apartments, needs some work. The biggest drawback is that there is not a designated spot for packages to be delivered, leaving them outside for anyone to take. Too easy for thieves to take. Deal breaker for me.

This community is by far one of the most impressive communities in the area. I'm not only referring to how beautifully landscaped, excellent the maintenance team is or the activities, those are all amazing, but what stands out about the Lakes is their dedication to the people who live at the Lakes. I have been impressed over and over by Rachel and Heather and many of the other leasing agents that I have come in contact with over the last 3.5 years. I am so grateful to have been able to spend my most beautiful moments in Nashville here at the Lakes. I have enjoyed each moment and am sad to say goodbye. Move here if you want to be happy, know awesome neighbors and attend great events!

The Lakes at Bellevue has been a very pleasant place to live. Management and maintenance are impressively communicative and responsive. There has never been a time I've reached out and not received a very quick response and the request handled. Also, the grounds are kept up very nicely and it is a peaceful and pretty complex. The interior of the apartments is also nicely maintained. I highly recommend The Lakes to anyone looking to live in a quiet, tidy, and professionally-run apartment complex.

Mold is a big issue. When it is reported you will be informed that you need to take care of it. Turnover with the staff is high and it is obvious that no one cares.
I've lived here for over 2 years. It's a renovated 2-bedroom apartment. The management is a hit or miss. Although the staff is always friendly and professional, service is inconsistent, particularly on the maintenance side. Personally, I don't think they have enough maintenance staff to service the complex. (It's huge.) The pools open later in the season than other apartments in the area. And if it rains, the pools are closed because the water has to be treated. Whereas in some areas parking is plentiful, in other areas parking is scarce. Yet, residents are allowed to store their recreation vehicles anywhere they want. Although infrequently, garbage pickup is sometimes inconsistent. Often times, after pickup you'll see garbage around the parking lot because of sloppy handling. I think for what they're charging on rental fees, the value is slightly below average.

go live here if you're looking to be exposed to dangerous mold, which is not able to be remediated, and they aren't going to pay for your dr bills, or take any responsibility whatsoever, for any long term toxic mold effects that you WILL suffer from the rest of your shortened life span. I know 4 others in 3 different apartments here that are in the same shape as myself and my child.
Love the area! We are closer to work--20 min or less drive! we really like the rural setting--geese, ducks, deer, walking trails etc. All apartments have been renovated. Staff has been super and responds quickly to any request.
I've lived here 3 yrs and have never had an issue. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Maintenance is always quick and professional. Always lots of parking! Have absolutely loved this place! One time our AC unit stopped working, maintenance gave us a window unit while ours was repaired. Was fixed by the next day! Great place to live!
I live in the Lakes of Bellevue apartments in Nashville, TN. My apartment is a 2 bedroom and I have a roommate. All in all I like the apartment. It's in a nice, safe area. Currently there is construction going on to build a new main office which gets noisy at times. The complex is very big so if you life toward the back of the complex it can be a pain because there is only one entrance at the front of the complex. The apartments are currently being renovated and updated. This is troublesome for my roommate and I because we moved in before the renovations so in order for us to get an updated apartment we would have to move into a new one. We have lived here for two years and recently got a dog so the move is not feasible. If you are looking for an apartment that is about 15 min from downtown Nashville then it's a place to check out.
Need a break from city life? Lakes of Bellevue is an oasis from the concrete and skyscrapers. Beautiful faux wood floors, refinished units and friendly staff.
New management is making upgrades. However there are pains while the upgrades are implemented. Just recently the water to the entire complex was turned off without informing residents. I called the office and informed them that I had a meeting that am and needed to take a shower. The person that took the call did apologize and let me know that the water will remain off until 5 o'clock. She also said that she will have the main office call me to offer a concession for the inconvenience. I have not received that call. This wasn't the first time this has occured. Property management has our email addresses, I don't understand why a simple two line email wasn't sent.
We have live here since 2012. Lincoln Property took over management of The Lakes in 2013 and they are wonderful. Very friendly and always helpful. They have started renovations on the apartments that are gorgeous (we live in the old model and it's still nice). They are also building a state of the art fitness facility right on site! What more could you want? The Lakes are exactly 1 mile from a grocery store and other shopping ammenities. There is also a Metro bus pick up right in front of The Lakes. The bus is super inexpensive and will take you right down town. If you work or study at Vandy the bus system is free and the bus will take you right to campus. The Lakes are ony about 4 minutes from I-40 too! We plan on staying here for a while!
I moved to Nashville from Seattle for grad school so came without having seen the apartment aside from pictures. My apartment was renovated right before I moved in and for the most part, it has been great. There were only a few things left incomplete that needed to be fixed upon moving in, and they were completed fairly timely. The only major complaint I have is that there is no bedroom light or fan in my bedroom, and no drawer space in the bathroom which is very inconvenient. I have asked the complex to come up with solutions for these problems and have yet to hear back. Other than that, the complex is quiet. Where I am in the complex, there is plenty of parking, I am right near the office and the pool and it is nice as well. There are three pools on the complex total. The gym doesn't have a lot, but they are building a new office space and state will be upgrading the gym into the current office which I am hopeful will be a big improvement. They also have a place to wash your car and vacuum it. The vacuum is broken but I was told it is in the process of being fixed so that will be very useful once it is. Overall, it is a good quiet community, not terribly far from downtown.
The apartment smells. The pool is closed at least 1 or 2 days a week because the pump keeps breaking (and the water turns green!). I've found used hypodermic needles and used condoms in the parking lot. Neighbors throw beer cans and cigarettes off their balcony and they don't get picked up for days. It's overpriced. Gross. Stay away.
