Property Ratings at The Heights at State College
You have to be on top of their responsibilities all the time. Over the past year, I had to call or go in 7 different times because of workorders that weren't fixed unless you harresed them or because they implemented far off or end of lease fees and tried paying them with the rent money I gave them specifically for rent that was due months befor the fees needed to be addressed. Management here was an annoying nightmare for me but the property was very nice while I stayed. If you find a place with similar living conditions at the same price go their to avoid the ignorance of their management.
I live in Room C (3rd floor) of a 3B/3B townhouse. I moved here from another complex. It's been a great experience overall, and I have renewed. Costs: Other than rent, we have to pay for utility and a community fee per lease term. We only pay for electricity, which typically ranges from $30 to $100 each roommate, with lower costs in summer and higher costs in winter. Neighborhood: It's quite calm and clean. There is not much in the walkable distance from The Heights, but State college is a small town and one can drive anywhere in the town in less than 20 minutes. Noise: The level of noise isolation in the house isn't perfect; it largely depends on the behavior of your roommates. Additionally, our house is located near the basketball court, which can be disruptive at night when people are playing. The clubhouse is an awesome spot to hang out with your friends and play games or enjoy the pool. Finally, the management and staff are friendly and helpful.

Living at the heights is awesome! They have events all the time that encourages the community to bond and just overall enjoy the fun! I also like the clubhouse because of the unlimited coffee and hot chocolate that's perfect for the cold days!

I honestly quite love it here. :) The environment is very nice, and relatively calm. Only downside is the occasional (very rare honestly) loud crowd outside at night during weeknights (over weekends it’s understandable), and the occasional revving engine noise at night during weeknights (again, weekends are understandable). Otherwise, the apartments are quite nice, the outside environment is pretty, and the people are quite nice.

The complex always has amenities to offer and is generally quiet. Living at the heights was probably my best housing decision overall. Other than the fact that i have my own bedroom and bathroom, the soundproofing is almost perfect.

The place is quiet and peaceful. The buses come regularly and nothing in State College is very far from the Heights but the signal is very poor.

I love this place! My roommates have been here for 3 years and this will be my first. I love how welcoming everyone was during move-in. Maintenance is so quick to respond to any work order i place, and I really appreciate all the events that the staff does to get us residents involved :) The amenities are amazing, and I love how the bus stops are on property in convenient places. It is a peaceful and quiet community. I cant wait for more years to come!

The staff here is great. You can always get a fast response from the maintanace team, normally when I put it a request is it filled that same day. The property is also very welll kept and the staff is always looking to make more improvements

Amazing Place, Lots of Amenities that work without issues and Good roomates and working thermostat. Only issue is that the fire alarm is really sensitive making it really hard for us to cook since it rings once ever 5 minutes we cook anything for that matter

Very good overall, Sometimes feel like the apartment check-ups feel a little intrusive but definitely not horrible. Other than that the community and speed as to which issues get solved is great! Same with the quality of houses, they’re also very good.

Living at the heights is like living home away from home. It is really nice and quiet. Everything is convenient from being able to go on campus or the grocery store.

It the most cleanest and safest place to ever live in State College. The minor thing is the electricity fee. They cost a bit more than other places.

All is great at Heights but its expensive unfortunately. I love my home, my bedroom, clubhouse and the out side of the houses. The maintence, I thought that it should be free but they are not. All in all, its good.

The housing has been very nice, the area the housing is in is also very nice and secluded from the busy state college area. The amenities that come with the heights as a whole is very enjoyable and plentiful.
