The Haven at Indigo Square

If you like receiving your mail, I would not live here. I am a long time resident and have enjoyed living here for years. Unfortunately, since Greystar took over they have been subsequently adding fees and removing amenities. They'll lure you in with a low initial offer and then tack on additional fees. The most recent example of this is their adoption of Fetch. You are no longer able to receive mail and they are now charging a fee for a 3rd party to lose your mail. Multiple residents have reported losing packages to this new service despite now having to pay a monthly fee to receive our mail. The pool is closed 25% of the time. The golf simulator has never been open under Greystar's management. I have maintenance issues festering in my apartment for weeks. Why are we paying all these fees for no amenities and not being able to receive our own mail?? Their decision to use Fetch was the final straw for me, I tell all my friends to never live here now while I used to frequently refer people to live here.

Apartment it self is roomy and never had any issues with anything breaking. But they host a few events every month and they always have free food and drinks. Xmas party, pool party, random game nights. Property itself is kept really clean as well which is nice.

Overall, my experience has been fine. Not good, not great, but fine. The units themselves are spacious and fairly updated. Usually no issues with parking. To their credit, the leasing office does try to hold community events, even if they only send the notification an hour before the start time. As other reviewers have stated, the dog waste issue still persists. It’s honestly embarrassing to show guests around the community with the amount of poop laying around. The gym does not appear to be regularly cleaned or maintained- with 2 treadmills out of commission for months, with no updated timeline of a repair. It’s a fine started community for those new to the area due to the location.

The insides of the buildings are generally fine. Could be better, but fine. If you have loud upstairs neighbors, good luck getting the office to do anything about it. On the other hand, the outside of the buildings/amenities need work. It's not unusual for garbage cans/dog waste stations to be overflowing, allowing trash to blow into surrounding bushes. The lingering trash may or may not get picked up. LOTS of dog poop around all the buildings. The office sends out an occasional email threatening to fine inconsiderate neighbors, but there's never any follow through because they have no way of knowing who's doing it. Empty threats clearly don't work, so maybe it's time for a new strategy? I believe there used to be a company that would come around to empty waste bins/pick up poop - not sure what happened to that. The vacuum at the car wash station has been broken for at least a year. Instead of replacing the broken hose, they continue to "fix" it by duct taping it until it inevitably rips again. The latest solution is a plastic bag wrapped around it which, unsurprisingly, doesn't work. It's really frustrating to pay Mount Pleasant prices for such low quality and service. It seems like staff has given up judging by their apathy towards resident complaints and half-hearted attempts at enforcing community rules. People smoke on their balconies, despite this being a nonsmoking community, and nothing is done. Don't worry though, a reminder is usually included in their monthly "community housekeeping" emails about dog poop! I'm genuinely confused as to how this was voted the best apartment community and question the validity of some of these positive reviews. The potential is there, but management really needs to step it up because their action (or in this case, inaction) plays a huge role in the quality of life here.

Absolutely horrible place to live! So much noise between apartments, dog poop everywhere, off leash dogs all over the place, rude tenants that just don't care....it just isn't a good place. The staff do nothing to help. Everything costs you a fortune - if you don't want car door dings, a garage costs you $225. If you want a chance at getting your mail, you pay another fee (but really you need a PO box because 50% of your packages will go missing). If you are a bad dog owner, this IS the place for you. They have no idea who has dogs and who doesn't so don't bother declaring your pup! There is absolutely nothing luxury about this place or the amenities.

Nice central location in My. Pleasant. Good amenities and screened in porches.

Yes, I loved the area and all of the amenities that were provided. If I move back to South Carolina this would be my first option.

I would definitely recommend the neighborhoodly residents and great support staff here in this community.

Everything has been great here I've had no problems I like the screened-in porches and also the elevators make it very convenient

I am satisfied with my decision to move to haven. all haven staff members are friendly and helpful. there are an exceedingly high number of dogs in the complex. my expectations have been met just not exceeded.

I would give a more enthusiastic referral if the cleaning and outdoor maintenance improves.

I just transferred apartments so I'm still here! But the new place, was definitely not cleaned, nor completely painted when I moved in. Very dirty. Office offered to have it fixed, but I'd already done it all by then (except cathedral ceilings that were full of cobwebs). One BIG thing, people keep smoking here in a non-smoking community. That's very bothersome.

I have only lived here for two weeks so far, but in that time I have had a few maintenance requests to get some issues squared away. All requests have been addressed very quickly and professionally, so I've had a great experience so far.

Beautiful apartment and surroundings. We are staying here until our home is finished and we love it here. Morgan showed us 3 different units and for some reason, being that we have never met, knew we would love the one we chose. Sun sets off our first floor patio and we are greeted by all the dogs that are heading to the mailroom as we sit on our patio. Very very nice......

The door to the master still rubs the frame. Was told it was going to be sanded. The door to the guest bedroom will still not close. Looks like the strike plate still needs adjusting..

Grounds and common halls are not being kept up. Residents do not take care of the areas in a lot of situations.

Beautiful Community. Beautiful Surroundings. We have had a very pleasant experience so far.

Not as quiet as we would like it to be. appliances are a problem... dryer, fridge, other issues.

The office staff is amazing and we love taking advantage of all of the wonderful events that are hosted here! We couldn't ask for a better apartment community! I have already recommended to several people!

The units themselves could use some work. The sound insulation in the floor was terrible and we could often hear the people below us partying in the middle of the night. Our air conditioning barely worked most of the time and the heat was undersized for the units volume. You can also hear people having a conversation in the parking lot from the 4th floor, not sure what's up with the windows.

This community has gone down hill in recent years. When it was new it was awesome, but now there just seem to be more issues that aren't addressed or fixed. Loud neighbors, inconsiderate dog owners, police activity, lack of respect for common areas. For the price of rent, you're not getting what you're paying for anymore.

I love my apartment and living at the Haven at Indigo Square. It is in an ideal location my apartment is perfect and my neighbors are kind and quiet. It's a beautiful community with wonderful amenities.

I love the experience of living at the Haven. The amenities are amazing and the extra events they put on for residents make it seem really special.

If you like being woken up at 6 am by the people above you having sex, kept up by people partying in there garage turned bar till 2 am, and all the other noises that come through the walls this is the place for you!

It is a great community to live, but rather expensive. Ideal for individuals and smaller families but not so good for families with smaller children.

GREAT location, friendly people who are also pet lovers, lots of room in apartments!

Location, office staff, noise level, amenities, and community in general has been great.

I would caution them about the many dogs and how the owners do not control them adequately.

I would recommend the community, but let my family or friends know that there are more dogs than people in the apartment, with several owners not curbing their pets regularly.

I am 65 years old and the elevator are a must for me to be able to live on the fourth floor so no one is over me I actually have a friend it is planning to move to Mount Pleasant in August and she will probably lease in that complex as well

I've lived in numerous comparable complexes around the country and never have I been able to hear the people BELOW me. We always pay for the top floor so its quieter but being able to hear the people below us shows the poor construction of this building. Noise complaint has been ignored

I love the location of the apartments, the view of the courtyard from my apartment, everything about my studio apartment, the amenities. The entire office staff has been very friendly and attentive. The maintenance staff responded quickly and took care of my issue. The whole property is kept spotless inside and out.

The place is perfect except for one thing. Garbage pickup was not consistent and confusing. Other than that we loved it but moved because we built a house.

Would recommend. Very friendly staff. Love everything about this community.

The condition of the apartment was terrible(dirty, bugs, big hole in the wall and drywall left) when we moved in and we had to reach out at least 5 times and wait over a week for it to be taken care of. We live by the staircase and all we hear is stomping up and down constantly. However, over all it is a fairly quiet and lovely place to live.

If you're a millennial with money. Expensive place to live for the amount of traffic, noise, dog poop, partying at the pool and lay at night.

Sheesh, I can't think of any reason I wouldn't recommend this apartment community. We haven't even moved in yet and we're already telling everyone we know about how great this place is

Submitted an issue with my disposal Saturday morning (10am) and maintenance didn't come until 3pm on Monday... We called the office and was told the maintenance orders are worked in the order they are recieved. I can't imagine what sort of maintenance orders or the quantity that would come in from Friday afternoon to Saturday morning tat would cause such a delay in getting my disposal working.

The amenities here are wonderful, I think anyone who is able to afford living here would enjoy it.

I'm very happy here, I just wish there was more that could be enforced for residents that do not pick up after their dogs, have little regard for their neighbors and do not follow the rules of the property.

I'm not so sure I would use the term luxury...lately, the lawns are ruined because of the animals, dog poop everywhere, the other day there was a pile of it inside the pool area where the plants are...you can here your neighbors under you...definitely needs more insulation...and speeding needs to be addressed. Howver, it's very centrally located, and I love the pool and walking the trails...I feel safe

Lack of design to insure a minimal level of sound proofing.

Location is great. The community amenities are fantastic. And so far it is exceeding my expectations

Everyone has taken good care of us and saw too it that all was taken care of.
