Historic adobe homes -- mixed with sleek, modern apartment and office buildings -- fill Downtown Tucson. Colorful murals adorn the sides of some of the buildings, adding an artistic flair to this sunny neighborhood. Downtown Tucson is home to the Tucson Museum of Art, the Fox Theatre, the University of Arizona Museum of Art, The Children's Museum Tucson, MOCA Tucson, and several art galleries.
With the University of Arizona located just outside of Downtown Tucson, the neighborhood attracts college students. It is a walkable and bicycle-friendly neighborhood, and the Sun Link streetcar provides a fun, fast way to get from the university into downtown and beyond.
The heart of Downtown Tucson is Congress Street, a historic area with a variety of exciting destinations. John Dillinger hid out in Hotel Congress, built in 1919, and some residents claim the hotel is haunted.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Gallery on Fifth
I have been a resident of The Gallery on Fifth for a few weeks now, and my experience has already been excellent and I hope to continue to make this my home for years to come. It was always a dream of mine to live in the heart of downtown Tucson, and I did extensive research into the various options before deciding on this establishment. From my initial tour, both Jacky and Mordechai were kind and knowledgeable and helped ensure the onboarding and move-in were smooth. The building itself is beautiful, and clearly intentionally designed to be a modern addition with respectful acknowledgement of the heritage of downtown Tucson. The common areas are bright and welcoming and cleaned regularly. Each floor has a design theme with each unit's door painted with its own unique visual. The location cannot be beat. I am thrilled to be a short walk away from my favorite coffee shops, restaurants, and musical venues. Can the surrounding atmosphere be a bit loud at times? Sure. But that's downtown living. Invest in a small white noise machine for sleeping and you'll be fine. I love my new home, and I don't see that changing anytime soon!
I want to thank the gallery especially mordechai for making my stay for a year the best! The cleanest facilities and the best staff! always there for you and will always make you feel safe! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
The unit, common areas, and amenities are absolutely gorgeous and well-maintained. Additionally, the property management team is absolutely stellar! They are always on top of communication, quick to resolve any issues, and extremely professional. They are also very warm and friendly. Always greeting residents and looking for ways to connect with folks. The cost is a tad high, but you are definitely getting what you are paying for living at the Gallery. This is the first time I have had such a positive experience with a landlord/property management team!
I had a tour here and was met with the most friendly management who were extremely accommodating for my situation.
The Gallery on 5th and their management team have been such a breath of fresh air for me. When I first toured Gallery on 5th I was blown away by the excellence and creativity of the space. I toured many other local luxury buildings, and this place and their staff truly stood out amongst the rest for me. The light is gorgeous -- stunning windows! And it's perfectly clean. Like PERFECTLY. The building itself has been built and kept so beautifully -- you can tell they really value and respect both the space and their tenants. I am not yet moved in, but their management has been so kind, patient, and understanding as I've made plans for my new home in Tuscon. They are honest, thoughtful, gracious and professional in ways that continue to impress me. They just go above and beyond. If I had to choose three words to describe the building it would be BRIGHT, BEAUTIFUL, and CLEAN. And for the staff it would be INTEGRITY, COMMITMENT and KINDNESS. So, 10/10 highly recommend.
All brand new apartments, some of the best views in Tucson. Located right next to downtown. And excellent staff
Came in for tour unscheduled, staff was polite and helpful. Will definitely consider this place as a living possibility.
Guys in the front office were always extremely helpful and fun to talk to. The location is unbeatable, the amenities and construction are pure quality, and the community is a perfect blend of quiet yet sociable. If you've got the budget for it, I highly recommend.
The staff here are all amazing and so friendly. I have had a few maintenance issues and each time they were fixed in a timely manor. Mordechai is the best manager and is always very helpful and so kind, he goes above and beyond to make sure the residents are truly taken care of.
I have been at the gallery for a year and my experience has been great. The management are really responsive and friendly. I did not have many maintenance problems but the few issues I had were addressed quickly and efficiently. Overall, my time here was enjoyable and ran smoothly. Highly recommend!
I moved here from Ohio with no family or friends, and immediately, the staff at Gallery made me feel right at home. This complex is run top down by incredible people. From manager to maintenance, people here care about you. To live in a building run by this staff and to be so close to downtown and fourth, choosing Gallery was a no brainer, and I think it will be for you too
Living at this property was a highlight of my time spent in Tucson! I only have positive things to say about living here. I lived in my apartment for a year. I never once heard neighbors or outside noise that bothered me. I felt as if I lived alone in a wonderful building. The walls block most, if not all noise. I rarely had maintenance issues and if I did, they responded within 24 hours to fix the issue. New appliances, washer and dryer, and AC unit that worked perfectly! All of the leasing office staff is great and got to know me well! I really felt apart of a community and a home at The Gallery on Fifth. They cared about our safety and comfort. I miss living here and would do anything to re-do my year in my amazing apartment!
I've been a resident at the Gallery for about a year now and I love it. Mordechai and the management team are very responsive, cordial and resourceful. The apartments are spacious and location is great. You get some great views from those balconies. To me, the best part about this property is really the people working there.
My original review was 3000 characters too long, so here's the short and sweet of it: please avoid. It might be great for a short stay (many units are Airbnbs) but for a full lease, this was the worst place I have ever lived. The building, despite being new, was continuously falling apart. Maintenance requests ignored, showed up on entirely different days, or never fixed the problem. Leaking roof, shorting electricity, broken AC for 2 weeks in July, parking spot stolen constantly, loud neighbors, loud building maintenance with zero notice (sometimes at 6am on a Saturday.) My key was deprogrammed regularly. My apartment was never finished despite being told it would be (finishing around the fridge), my lights were never replaced despite being told they would. My ceiling fan/lights were controlled by another apartment, only to be reprogrammed to a different other apartment... In short, I gave up on maintenance two months into my lease. Apparently there is keyless entry and smart home features -- none of that was ever conveyed to me. It's in "the heart of downtown" but downtown Tucson has little to offer besides bars and restaurants -- you still need to go a mile or two for a proper store. It is, or was, the cheapest option downtown so I suppose it has that going for it. But especially for anyone WFH, you will regret living here. What makes this place 'luxury' is simply being forced to pay $20/mo to have someone walk your trash 20-100ft down the hall, exposed concrete, and new appliances. So for those actually looking for some sort of luxury, I assure you there are much better options a couple of blocks away.
I moved here on a short contract as a traveler and they made the entire onboarding experience painless and easy. They were always available and responsive. I had a wonderful time staying here. They plan tons of activities for residents so you’re never bored. The apartment is centrally located so you can walk to pretty much everywhere in the downtown area. I personally loved the coffee shops around the corner and tons of cafes and restaurants off Congress.
