I had a great leasing process with my agent Justin. Changes were communicated and the move-in process went smoothly. When I have questions or maintenance requests as of right now have been responded to or I have been advised that the community is being renovated and changes are upcoming which I am excited to see. Depeding on your upstairs neighbor your experience will vary but the property was not built with a lot of sound proofing from above. I don't have any complaint from my side neighbors.

Worst management I’ve ever seen when it comes to apartments. Not understanding at all when it comes to problems & they will milk you dry for every single possible dollar they can and point to the lease. I’ve never seen such money-hungry human beings with no personal understanding of issues. Unbelievable.
First of all, the ceiling and floor contain asbestos. If you breath in this toxin, it will remain in your lungs FOREVER. Supposedly this toxin will not harm you if it’s not disturbed. I sure hope that’s true. Beyond that, the noise here interferes with my Work From Home job activities. Often (yesterday), I end up with a throbbing headache. When I raise my concerns with management, I am curtly dismissed. There is LOUD construction noise throughout the work day. I suppose that’s great for the owners of this building as they’ll be able to raise rents, but I just want to concentrate on my work right NOW! If the construction noise isn’t booming, there’s leaf blowers, tree trimming, and VERY loud vacuum cleaners for the carpeted hallways. So even without the construction noise, there’s still enough to give me a headache during working (from home) hours. If that were not enough (which is it for a WFH like me), the fire alarms often go off. It’s so common, people don’t even begin to evacuate the building. That’s bad because one time we had a REAL fire. It was set by a transient who had breached the ‘secure building’ we were informed via email. When we had that fire, the police had to pound on doors to get people to evacuate. Anyhow, the fire alarms are often set off by transients. Then there’s the crime! My car was violently broken into inside the ‘secure parking’ area. The police officer who took the report (for insurance claim) told me this was ‘common’ in this building. The thieves steal bikes and break into the cars he explained. ‘Sometimes we catch them’ he said. Anyhow, after the transient set a fire inside the building, they did hire visible security guards for about 2-3 weeks. All that said, the beach is indeed a few blocks away.
Everything is made cheaply. Closet doors barley hang on. Paint melts from a hot shower. We have had ants, spiders, and fruit flies. The washer/ dryer had to be repaired our first month in. There is no heating/ air. When we moved in no tour was given, so we had to wander everywhere to find anything. Had to fight to get parking spots we PAID for. And "flexible lease" PLEASE, we are stuck here until the end of the contract.
