I moved into this apartment about a month ago and my experience at the Flats has been terrible. I’ve had to call in so many maintenance request for various reasons to outlets not working to my bathroom being flooded to broken windows. Recently I went home for 2 weeks to visit my girlfriend and came back last Thursday to my bathtub and toilet had flooded with sewage from the two apartments above me. When the plumber fixed it on Friday he told me that although it was fixed right now, it could happen again. I also put in a cleaning request because the bathroom was still dirty after the plumbing was fixed. No one could come Friday so i had to wait till Monday(today). I wasn’t able to use the bathroom or shower all weekend due to not wanting to touch or clean the sewage of whoever lived in the two apartments above me. I relayed this issue to the front office and they’re response to me was that yea it happens but I have to deal with it. If you don’t tolerate these type of things, this is not the place for you. I suggest you try to find a better place.

This community has allowed me to make new friends and my doggies have also made friends! We love it here so much and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested about moving here. 10/10. Its close to everything you need, location is great. Maintenance & administrators go above and beyond. Definitely recommend.
Beautiful apartments for an amazing price! The amenities are wonderful and the staff is easily the best apartment staff weve ever had! I couldnt be happier with my move! If youve had bad experiences with apartments this property will be a breath of fresh air, it was for us!

It's a great place, I love the studio's floors and space. It's a lot bigger than it may seem. Great pricing and close to the interstate which makes it easy to go into the city or to suburbs. Quiet complex.
I recently lived here for about a year, and had an overall good experience. Management was always very nice. The one time I needed maintenance they responded to my request within the hour and were very professional. I feel the apartments are a pretty good value, considering where they are and the nicer features like the granite counter-tops. The location is very convenient, being close to stores, restaurants, and interstate access. My biggest complaint would be some fees that weren't disclosed very well when I was first contracting for the apartment; there is a valet trash fee every month, as well as a security system fee. I did like having these services, however. Overall, I would recommend this complex to anyone looking for a place in WDM.
Sierra has been very attentive and responsive with questions Ive had. I appreciated the transparency in the application process. Its clear that the community is carefully looked after and I feel at home here.

We love living at The Flats! The professional on-site office staff is absolutely wonderful! Kallie, Sara, and Sierra do a fantastic job and the maintenance team gets work orders completed quickly and thoroughly. I highly recommend living at The Flats to all my friends!
The office ladies, especially Sierra are so friendly and always super helpful. Sierra walked me through my transfer like a breeze. Also, maintenance is always on top of things and fix every little thing right away!
The paint in the walls are cheap and peel off when any kind of adhesive is used in it. I tried hanging pictures in the wall and when it needed adjusted the paint is so cheap and flimsy that it began to peel off like a banana. Its ridiculous that Ill have to pay for that fix. The floors were the same way when maintenance had to move my fridge it dented and warped the floor board. My bed caused the same deal when I had to move it and peeled away some of the cheap flooring.
Everyone is really nice, any question or concern is taken seriously. Everyone in the main office has been really kind to me.

The Flats is a very welcoming community with professional staff who respond to maintenance request quickly. I like that the office staff hosts fun events such as pumpkin carving and trivia nights. Its a great way to meet people.

This is my first time being in an apartment and I'd say overall I've had the best services ever! I've read other comments and I would always think why such a bad review when I've always had problem resolved in a timely manner every time! I LOVE THE FLATS! I would definitely recommend others to make this place there home!
This place is completely negligent. I lived at the flats for a whole year! I was so excited to move out on my own for the first time. When I initially moved in my tub was backed up. They had to come in a bringer a plumber for two days to fix whatever was wrong with it. The vinyl wood on the floors were very cheap, and were not made well. The more you paid attention to the detail of the apartment the more you noticed all that was wrong with it. I had a curved nail sticking out in my closet that I had to pull out. Now let's get started on the BATHROOM. They used OLD appliances in the bathroom and slapped on a thin white layer of something to make it new. When I clean my bathroom I love it spotless and I tend to put my back into it. While I was doing that the thin layer came undone and underneath was all yellow. When I tell you your girl was disgusted! Last year 2019 we had the Polar Vortex and I'm sure we still have trauma from that. But imagine being in an apartment with NO INSULATING! That's how it felt. I constantly put the heat on but it seemed to never go over 60. It was horrible. Drafts were coming by, window, door, AC. When I looked close enough I could see outside light around my AC. I called maintenance and they "FIXED" the problem and no they did not. I had to buy my own material to try to fix the problem and even then my apartment was freezing cold. When I was finally moving out they charged me MOVING FEES. They amounted to $180.00 My studio was a cute one at initial glance. But the Flats took SHORTCUTS. They covered up all the prior issues the building had and put in new kitchen appliances to make it look good. It is NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Sincerely, Patience Doe
When I moved in there was a hole in the wall, water came in from the side and the heat stopped working. The walls are so thin you can hear everything your neighbors are doing and mine are not quiet. Would not recommend.
Reported my A/C wasn’t working over a month ago and no one has yet to begin fixing it and maintenance walked in completely unannounced twice while I was sleeping
