Property Ratings at The Fairways at Moore
My husband and I had a nightmare experience at this complex. From the start, the apartment had severe issues: Black mold covered large portions of our unit, causing me to experience asthma-like wheezing, coughing, light headedness, and rashes. I made the complex aware of my health issues, but it was met with hostility and band aid fixes to the problem. Roaches were present, one night I woke up to a roach as long as my finger crawling behind my head, and more appeared over time. Heating problems were constant. The heater broke five times last winter, and during one ice storm, our apartment was around 40°F. Maintenance admitted the wiring was a mess and was surprised it even worked at all. We started reporting mold and roaches in May 2025. We asked to be released from our lease or even offered another apartment to be moved in to. They told us that this is why we needed home insurance, we had rental insurance and when we called them they told us they do not cover that, and that it was the complex's responsibility to fix the issue. The complex seemed to show no concern that we were unable to live there safely and that we could have been displaced for months without a place to safely live all while still having to pay them months of rent. They showed no compassion for the effect it was having on us or our health. I also requested details of what was done, who worked on it, and if the mold had been tested. Management refused, saying they were not required to provide that information. This has been a very stressful and difficult time for my husband and I. We were paying for an apartment for nearly five months that we could not safely enter or live in. I feel because of their negligence, we were forced in a position to either risk our health, break our lease, or live with family until we could be free of the lease and get a new apartment. This complex clearly prioritizes profit over tenant health and safety. Please avoid renting here.
The exterminator tells me that the people in the bldg are nasty and one having mice. I am sprayed every week for past 6 months. They don’t come in and spray thoroughly. They are in and out. I have to ask them to spray certain rooms. Should not still be having this problem. They crawl up wall and in kitchen. Gates don’t close or shut at night. Car has been broken into 2 times. Look elsewhere!!
Maintenance will say they worked on something when they didn’t, caught them multiple times riding around just vaping. So in short nothing ever gets fixed, and if they say they did it then it wasn’t done right. There’s no communication or standards here and for what they are the prices aren’t worth it. Don’t be fooled by their floor models. Find somewhere else to live.
Wasn’t super clean when I moved in but when I put in work orders they’ve always gotten them done within 24 hours.
Recently the rent went up here and they failed to notify us that our automated payment through their third party website would need to be updated, when it was originally handled and setup for us by someone in the office. After a 20m call with a manager and visiting the front office itself I was stonewalled with "There's nothing we can do"s and the inability to receive the number of their corporate office after asking several times throughout. The place has a lot going for it, I've lived here happily for two years, but slapping someone with a late fee after failing to notify them that a website that was originally handled by their employees was now the responsibility of the renter is mind mindbogglingly stupid.
Management won't do anything about noisy neighbors or mud in the water lines. They won't fix the electrical short that is along the kitchen wall. They will charge you three months rent to break your lease even though they have a year long back log of potential renters waiting to get into an apartment. The windows aren't sealed properly so the electric bill is higher then it should be and doesn't get the apartment cool. There bug spray doesn't work so there are spiders and scorpions in the apartment. The whole office team are rude and short with you when you talk to them. Overall it is not worth saving money for rent because of the worthless Management.
Property managers are unprofessional and rude,and don't belong here . its full of bed bugs and snakes from golf course ponds. Stay away.
The management doesn't care about your experience. They are only after your money and will continue to attempt to get you to pay even after you leave
I've had the worst experience here at the Fairways. There was awful mold in the tub when I moved in, and apparently it was my job to clean it. My downstairs neighbors smoke inside the apartment, so sometimes I can smell it in mine. The neighbors to my left and right have their own balconies, but they sit outside my bedroom window to smoke and yack all hours of the day. I've complained to Management, who say they'll do something, but they never do. Management here is the worst. On top of that, the workers here broke my garden gnome and never replaced it. I spray for bugs myself because I don't see any evidence that they actually spray. I have friends in another building who are dealing with bed bugs right now too. The only positive experience I've had with the Fairways is that they replaced my microwave quickly.
Great apartments in the heart of Moore. Minutes away from everything, with easy access to I-35. Comes with washer/dryer, so no need to lug them around. Plus it comes with an affiliate/full membership to the private Moore Golf and Athletic Club, making it easy to go right out and play. There are no better prices around!
