Similar to many Florida communities, the neighborhood has palm trees and small bodies of water giving a laid-back, tropical vibe. The neighborhood is surrounded by restaurants and shopping centers, so residents don’t have to go far from home for amenities. Property Ratings at The Enclave
I believe in telling it like it is: good, bad or ugly. So believe me when I say that The Enclave in Jacksonville, FL is THE BEST place to live in Duval County if you are renting, in my opinion. I searched high and low when I first moved to Florida and this place stood out above all the rest for so many reasons. One, it is conveniently-located to restaurants, shopping, hospitals, beaches, universities, etc (and no more than 15 minutes away from any major restaurant chain, the Mayo Clinic, Town Center, and all the beaches (Atlantic, Neptune, Jax Beach). It is set in the midst of a nature preserve (but still right in the heart of things), so you get the best of both worlds (a rural country feel while at home, but also city conveniences right outside the apartment's two exits. In addition, it is exceptionally quiet here (no road noise from the main thoroughfare day or night, despite a front entrance/exit onto Atlantic Blvd and a rear exit onto San Pablo), so you can actually hear and enjoy the many water fountains located throughout the property, which are viewable from your patio or balcony--or windows. BUT THE BEST PART OF THIS luxury-living modern-styled and equipped apartment complex to me is the GREAT STAFF in the office (shout out to extraordinaire CINDY, SHANNON, and BRITTANY), as well as the complex's WONDERFUL maintenance crew (JOHN, RON, and MICHELLE I know by name--and from their excellent service). I LOVE all of these office and maintenance staff members' dedication and prompt response to the residents and their needs! EVERY DAY (not just certain days of the year), these workers and their fellow workers (sorry I don't know everyone's names) go above and beyond to be at the beck-and-call to residents, so we can enjoy a five-star living experience. So very glad we moved here!
decent area and friendly maintenance team. apartments are okay, aging a bit on this inside design with just modern appliances. My biggest issue was the property manager, stove top broke and we had to pay to replace it. was a nightmare of how they charged me and the discussion had to resolve it. they told me they would either replace the part or get a new stove, which ever was cheaper... they never said a word until a maintenance worker showed up and installed an a much nicer and newer model. all of a sudden I see the charge required with my rent dues... the oven they replaced it with is much more expensive and now i have to pay immediately with the my rent and there was no way to fix it. they over charged me. they said they would reimburse me for it and never did. when i left and they said i owed money, i told them the money they owed me and to use to cover the expense i was owing for the last month of utilities... they ended up reporting the charges to creditors yet again with no response of their intentions... management is shady for such potential of a property, you would expect so much more
We have loved living at the Enclave for past 4 years, but the rent increases sadly will be making us leave. Our first year it was reasonable, but each year after the rent has spiked to where it is out of our budget. Nothing has changed since we started renting in the complex, except the annual rent increases.
I have lived here 12 years and love the area and staff. It is located close to everything. The office and maintenance staff are always there to help you if needed. The complex makes sure they have the place looking beautiful. We have outside food trucks come in . The complex makes sure the residents feel welcome through out the year with special events. Nice pool areas and nice play area for children.
Maintenance is not timely, the dog park is just a mud pit full of dog excrement, often the trash compactor is down or missing, and the gates rarely work.
My 5 years living experience at the Enclave has been very positive. The apartments and grounds are well kept by the maintenance staff. There office staff are professional and friendly. There are good amenities such as workout room, computer room, carwash, kid's park, dog park and a variety of food trucks. The Enclave is in an excellent area. Just minutes from great schools, shopping, restaurants, gyms, churches and the beach.
It’s a little expensive for the apartment needing some work but grounds and neighborhood is cool. This is my third year living here we are moving out after this but to move to a different state. It’s been a good experience only a few things here and there I would say needs to be fixed.
Love living here! Great location for a bike ride to the beach. Have shopping on 3 sides of the complex, so can walk for groceries. Well, maintained at all times. Quiet, with a gym and pools, the Enclave is all I need.
I love living at the enclave, everyone is so nice and have a few friends who live here and lived here in the past and they have not changed on how they run the place with excellent service and care for residents
The complex is nice… most of the neighbors are friendly… they are close to the beach 3.5 miles and they aren’t too far from the town center.
Been a resident here for a couple of years it’s been great very quiet community the dog park and pools and landscaping is always kept very clean
The maintenance department is very responsive however sometimes it can be challenging to reach the front office. I have lived here 3 years and overall it has been a good experience.
We have mold in are apartment and it been three months and nothing has been fixed we should not have to live like this. This is the third apartment we have rented in this complex and the service has just gotten worse.
Easy to get a hold of front office employees most days and most documents and payments are don conveniently online through either portal or email. Problems such as maintenance are solved within a few days of request and they provide an emergency 24/7 number that is maintained.
The gates are broken so often it’s a joke to call it a gated community even though it helps me when they are broken because my clicker works inconsistently. The garbage compactor is often over full or broken. My rent has almost doubled in the 3.5 years I have lived here with no increase in value to me. The Smart locks on the doors are nice, but certainly not worth the increase in rent. The people who installed them broke a very expensive vase and left broken glass all over the floor. I know they were not employees of the complex, but still a part of the overall experience of living here.
So far I really like it here at the Enclave! Been here almost 6 months now and my apartment has been great. It's spacious and homey and clean. My apartment is pretty quiet, I barely hear neighbors. I hear some noise, but it's. not bad. And even inside, it's quiet. I can barely hear my son yelling to me from his bedroom when I'm in mine. There's tons of storage and my balcony is huge! I also love how it's surrounded by trees and away from the road. Feels private and hidden back here. I had some rogue roaches in the beginning but I put out a few traps and keep my home very clean and haven't seen any in a few months now. Maintenance has been fast and they're all very nice too. The pool gets hot in summer, but it's Florida. It's usually not crowded either. Love that they installed smart locks and thermostats too! The only thing I wish they'd offer, especially at their price point, is valet trash like every other place I looked at. It would also help keep the trash area cleaner.

This is a great place to live. The maintenance staff is exceptional. The Enclave is ideally located near everything I need. The weekly food trucks are a wonderful bonus.
I’ve lived at the Enclave for 5 years. Excellent residence. Only major issue I have is the high spikes in rent during lease renewal. There’s also been an uptick in tenants leaving trash in the breezeways. And the dumpster is usually overfilled, which makes it difficult to empty trash. Very good staff on site and nice amenities.
Beautiful apartments well kept grounds the front office is so helpful loving my experience at the enclave also the food trucks every week is such a great surprise
Maintenance staff is pretty good and Cindy is amazing! This is my second year living here, and I couldn’t imagine living any where else. I feel very safe and secure here.
Great place to live. stores and grocery markets are nearby and in walking distance. Plenty of places and spots for fishing and relaxing.and nice friendly people all around

Living at the Enclave has been a very pleasant experience. The location is great with abundant shopping. The beach is a 10-minute bike ride away. Finally, I actually know neighbors since my community sponsors food trucks which leads to mingling with each other.

Staff is friendly, the upgraded rooms are nice but maintenance will take a while for some requests. Main plus is the shopping center right across the street with a gym and fresh market

The building is absolutely nice and the view is amazing. Absolutely unique apartment! Never seen anything like it) And the windows… ohhh Love it here.
We have lived here for 3 1/2 years and absolutely love it. Maintenance team are 5 stars alone. Love the location and enjoy all the amenities as well.
So far the experience has been very positive, and quick. The food trucks are a fun twist and an exciting way to get us out of the apartment!
The Enclave continues to be upgraded and improved. I have lived here for 18 months, and grounds, maintenance and service continue to evolve positively.

It’s going ok! Wish they did events get together like other apartments. Overall it’s ok. Feel like missing the mark, since these apartments suppose to be luxury I’m just not seeing it
It's very nice and quiet, everybody in the front office is very nice. Maintenance stays on top of everything that needs to be done. There are in a good location
The amenities are nice. The location to the beach and decent food is very convenient. There is also a dog part near this complex. Sitting behind the Walmart you can walk to get groceries and not have to be worried about getting hit by a car.
Honestly this has been a delightful experience all around! Apartment is nice and cozy just only complaint is unpacking! Lol but really a lovely community
The maintenance team has always been really helpful, professional and knowledgeable. Every encounter I have had which isn’t many, but they resolved it and they made sure I understood what was completed.
The Enclave apartments are well taken care of. They respond quickly to any issues that arise. Everyone that works here is very friendly. They keep the grounds looking beautiful. I feel very safe living in a gated community. Tenants are friendly. I have lived here going on 7 years. I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon! I love living here! Come check us out!
Our family love it. It`s beautiful and peaceful. Very nice and helpful managers. here is a large and well-kept territory and pleasant neighbors.
It’s a nice place to live but the price increases are making me want to move once my lease is up. Hopefully they stop increasing the costs every year
We like living here we have lived in a 1,2,and know a 3 we have grown a family here. But our loyalty means nothing to the gables leasing consultants. They are never really concerned about anything that maybe going wrong in my apartment and take their sweet time put the maintenance request in. Or they don’t put them in. Brittanie is the only helpful person that works up there.
I gave my experience at the Enclave 4/5 stars because there’s always room for improvement. I’d like to see way more security cameras around the property and one-time gate codes for guests to maximize security. After my motorcycle was stolen willy-nilly straight from the property, it’s never felt the same living here, and I don’t have that same sense of protection of my belongings. One other critique I’d give is to work on the commitment and consistency of food trucks showing up. There have been MANY cancellations for a bunch of reasons that honestly come off as convenient one after the other, and multiple times from certain vendors. Maintenance and pest control gives timely responses, and The Enclave keeps me up to date consistently through email. Overall, I’ve had a positive experience living here, but safety and vehicle theft prevention is my biggest concern; it’s a very upsetting and traumatizing event to lose something so important that took a lot of time and money to own.
It’s amazing it’s all what we dream on our first place! And the staff it’s super nice, good actitud all the time, all appliances are modern and we feel very comfortable living here
Our building is so dirty in the hall ways and landscaping isn’t that great. For the amount of rent we pay it’s kind of disappointing. The ladies in the office are great

I’ve only been living at the enclave for maybe 2 months. I love it here! It’s very quiet and very nice, maintenance is very quick when needed and the front office staff is very helpful and amazing! The apartments give condo type of vibes!
This is experience hasn’t been bad at all. I’m working on year 7. That alone should say a lot. It’s gated, it’s safe. Maintenance responds in a timely manner. I’m happy.
