The name Mount Eden is a slight misnomer as this Bay Area neighborhood is not a mountainside enclave. However, this beautiful neighborhood does boast an excellent central location. Mount Eden is about four miles southwest of Downtown Hayward and is convenient to several shopping hubs including Southland Mall. Along with housing several neighborhood parks, Mount Eden is just a short drive away from Hayward Regional Shoreline, Eden Landing Ecological Reserve, and Coyote Hills Regional Park. 5 stars for Dutton Apartments! The walkthrough was thorough and informative. Huge shoutout to Cristian at Dutton Apartments! He helped us with our walkthrough and was so helpful and patient. Cristian is professional, kind, and ensures you have all the information you need. Excellent management that made us feel right at home immediately!
The leasing agents are nice, but the apartment upon receipt was dirty, and our second parking spot was very far away from our apartment. Some of the areas of the apartment need to be repaired and repainted.
I think that the new management has been at the best it’s ever been since I’ve lived here since 2020. I really appreciate the new upgrade to the gym and all of the beautiful landscaping.
It’s pretty quiet throughout the complex. It’s kept clean as well. The residents are friendly and so are some of the staff. More guest parking is needed though. But overall it’s a nice complex.
Just moved in last month but so far the community is great, well maintained. I have been noticing a few upgrades, such as new EV parking stations!
Lived here and it was a nightmare!. Beware of mold in apartments!!. They do a very poor cleaning job when you are moving in and when asked to take care of it they take a long time to do so. Their maintenance on items now takes a couple of days, and you have to keep reminding/following up with them. Property managers are not communicative and it shows it all comes from the top.

I love staying here! I love my new unit. The vaulted ceiling. The only problem that I don’t like here is when the neighbors close their doors, it’s like they are banging it & my unit is shaking & it’s annoying. When I shut the door, it’s never like that!

The leasing office and the service are great. The apartments could use a little upgrades. A little steeps price for the apartments. Maybe 200-300$ less should be rent
The staff and process to move in was very easy and smooth. Natalie was very friendly and easy to work with. Apartment move in was easy and the apartment was clean and fresh when we moved in.

I want to love it here, but the parking spots are quite a distance from our apartment, and the set up is strange. I was given a far parking spot and told I’d be given a closer one when a close neighbor moved out. Then when 3 neighbors moved out I had mentioned it and I was told I need to get on a waiting list. Then when given a spot it was closer than the previous but still far. But the new neighbors below me had close parking spots immediately upon moving in. Doesn’t seem fair at all.

The place is nice but the smell of marijuana gets too much into my rooms since they smoke in other apartments. The scandal that happens in the pool with the music too loud and I can't believe they allow alcoholic beverages in the pool. I simply don't trust them for little ones.

We recently sent a pool policy reminder to all residents reminding them of conduct at the pool and all offender will be asked to leave. Great customer service staff and great staffing. The grounds and maintenance personnel do a great job on handling the issues and coordination of heavy maintenance in a safe manner. The office is always greeting and smiling. Ready to ask any concerns with proper results.Thank you!

The community is really quite. I like my apartment since it is near the exit. I found the support of the leasing staff was great, special thanks to Pamela and Maria. Overall I am happy with the design and the amenities. I find the location of the apartments really close to other places as long as you have vehicle. Price is competitive. The only thing missing is making the pool have warm water all year to use it. Or at least during spring. Everything else I find it enjoyable.

Seeing the trees and the only thing you hear in the mornings are the birds which is nice. Other than that you only hear children playing, makes you feel safe and happy.

The leasing experience was good. I was informed if I did not understand how to complete any of the documents, the staff was there to help. I like the open and quiet location of the Dutton, along with the cute little combined apts. I am hoping to get an upper remodeled unit and be able to sit on my deck with privacy. When the weather is hotter I will be swimming and working out daily.

If you work in Hayward or in the area and hate the commute to Dublin or Ramon. Try living at the Dutton. I saved 90 minutes per day travel time . Extra time is money to do other things in life. Terrific butcher right down the way.

It’s my third day here in The Dutton Apartments and I can say so far it’s a quiet and friendly area. Only problem I’ve had is washer in my unit doesn’t work , hopefully it’s fixed soon!
