The mix of cosmopolitan flair and low-key atmosphere once led LA Weekly to speculate that North Hollywood just might be the best place to live in the Los Angeles area. This community has become popular among artists, writers, filmmakers, and actors seeking balance between easy access to Hollywood and a quieter, more suburban home environment.
The local food and bar scene is robust, and the bohemian vibe of the NoHo Art District attracts all manner of offbeat creative types. Uncommon among Los Angeles-area communities, much of North Hollywood is quite walkable, with food, drinks, galleries, and performance venues just a leisurely stroll away from one another. Thankfully for renters, all of the perks of this location come at a relatively affordable cost. Most renters pay an average of $2,282 to rent in North Hollywood, about $500 less than the Los Angeles average.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Diplomat
I have lived here for over two years and have no complaints. The building manager has always been helpful and responsive. We have had a couple of maintenance requests over the years and they have always been dealt with promptly. The building and parking are gated and the other residents have always been friendly and respectful. The location is fantastic! It is close to a great grocery store, the 101, 134 and Ventura Blvd and is just a couple blocks away from the restaurants and shops on Tujunga. It is also really close to the Universal City Metro stop on the Red Line and Universal Studios/Citywalk. Still living here and still loving it!
I am new to the area, and I really love my apartment! It is close to grocery stores, dry cleaners, shops and gyms. Everything I need is a stone throw's away. It's also close to the 101, 134 and 170. My neighbors are quiet. I never have to worry about loud music or anything waking me up. The apartment comes with two parking spaces, so if you have guests they can park in the secure garage with you. There is also plenty of street parking available. The neighborhood is also quiet. Not a lot of traffic.
