Tucked in the Pomona Valley, Pomona is known for gorgeous mountainous views—especially those of Mount Baldy, the highest peak in the San Gabriel Mountains. Formerly a fruitful agricultural town, Pomona is now a busy city and a college town, home to California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, Western University of Health Sciences, and Western University College of Veterinary Medicine. Two additional college campuses, Claremont Colleges and Mount San Antonio College, are located just outside of the city. Pomona pays homage to its past be preserving historic buildings like the Fox Theater Pomona. The fully restored theater is surrounded by restaurants, pubs, shops, and art galleries in Downtown Pomona's Arts Colony.

Resident experience can use lots of improvements. 1. Issues with roommate which needed to be addressed more appropriately by management 2. Lots of broken areas, including doors. 3. Floors can use improvements in cleanliness. 4. Can be loud during the night on higher floors. 5. Management can be tailored more towards a student living environment, rather than just an apartment complex, since majority of residents are students.

The girls at the office were fairly informative and helpful but did occasionally give contradicting answers to the same questions and weren’t very as clear about filling out the application but overall pretty good.

So far my experience at The Current has been pretty good. The apartment finished and aesthetics of the building are gorgeous, but the building is not maintained as much as it could be. The community trash cans are often overflowing and the carpets are stained through the property. I guess this comes with the wear and tear of the place, so my rating is pretty average.

Fire alarm tests are very poorly timed and annoying, there was a 3-hour fire alarm test where the alarm would go off sporadically from 8:30am-11:30am on a Wednesday that we were given less than 24 hours notice to AND most of the residents didn't even get a warning because the email system is "opt-in". I still haven't figured out how to "opt-in". Overall though, amenities are kept relatively clean and the gym has nice equipment. Apartment maintenance can be unresponsive over weekends, but generally works quickly considering how many units they have. Units don't feel cheap and the internet is fast. The Current is not a bad place to live, it could just use some management that cares about the people and less about the bottom line.

The staff are all super friendly and willing to help you with whatever needed. The amenities here are great especially with the gym and free coffee machine and printer 24/7! I wish the parking situation was better for its location and price, and it’s easy to hear through walls.

Living here has been incredibly disappointing. They keep adding new charges—like a trash system implemented eight months after we moved in, requiring us to get two extra trash cans we don’t need. Maintenance is awful. The sink has broken three times and is currently stuck with no water. The oven took a month to fix, the washer and dryer won’t stop shaking, and the pool was closed for months due to low chlorine, only reopening when it was too cold to swim. The much-advertised on-site grocery market was a major selling point, but it’s still nonexistent. Security is questionable, and the lockout number is unreliable they often don’t answer. Staff can be rude and clueless. I get hiring students, but they should at least know what’s going on. Living here feels like paying more for less. Constant issues, broken promises, and unresponsive management make this place impossible to recommend. Avoid it if you want peace of mind and good service.

I was first nervous that the apartment won’t be ready in time but luckily it was! Everything was new and nice and the staff there were the sweetest and answered all my questions in detail. I kind of wish the elevators were faster but the stairs were really nice too so I might use the stairs more. So excited to live here!!!

I have enjoyed living here so far. I moved in right when it opened and enjoyed the new facilities. I was disappointed to find out that even reserved parking is across the street, as they do not own the lots directly next to the buildings. I’ve also had multiple appliances break, but have had good luck with maintenance so far, but we are also not at full capacity yet. The building is nice but seems like it is made with cheap base models.

The site is loud in regards to its location near the high way, and sometimes other residents. There is no noise complain numbers available, nor do security numbers. Sound insulation sucks. The room is just furnished and still smells. A lot of glue/tape marks found on the floor that needs to be cleaned up by residents. There is a gap that’s big enough for cockroaches to come into the unit from the hallway (and it has happened already). The design does not really make sense in which there are very limited amount of elevators available as well as trash rooms. Making it inconvenience for residents on specifically higher floors. The whole move-in thing doesn't really make sense to me, that people have to left their stuff in a certain place and wait for their people to move it to our room. There is no instructions nor options for those who are unwilling for their worker to enter my room. Besides there was an awful staff that I met on move-in day who was almost unable to communicate with.

So far everything has been great! I use the pool just about everyday after football practice with my roommate and I love having access to the gym whenever I want.

I'm excited to move here in august! I've heard lots of great things about this place and the area surrounding it is very lively. I'm a student attending the nearby school and watching these apartments be built before me is so neat. They looks very pretty!

The current is a beautiful complex, I’ve had a pleasant experience staying here so far. The coffee bar and the free printing and gym have been some of my favourite amenities to use.

From my visit during the first couple of days, the apartments seem really nice. Everything was new and clean. A few of the furniture did seem a little lower quality, though.

It’s vibes. The 24 hour gym and the high speed internet are my personal favorite amenities. Perfect for the student-athlete or student worker or just a plain in-betweener.
