Property Ratings at The Crossings at White Marsh Apartments
This is going to be a long one but I've been having issues since I moved to this complex. The first issue was a mouse which was annoying but that's not even the worst thing that's happened since I've lived here. My upstairs neighbors toilet overflowed and leaked through my bathroom ceiling. I had a large dehumidifier and a hole in my ceiling for 3 weeks. A few months after that I went out to my car to go to work one morning and noticed that someone tried to steal my car by breaking off my driver side door handle and ripping out the ignition which cost me hundreds of dollars. There are no cameras in the parking lot or anywhere in the complex. I notified the leasing office and their response was that they would submit an "incident report" to their corporate office and that was it. Today I come home from work to toilet water leaking through my ceiling once again from my upstairs neighbor. I would not recommend this complex to anyone and I can't wait until my lease is up.
This apartment complex and the apartment itself is legit amazing! I legit have no complaints! I’ve lived here since October 2019. And will be moving around January 2020 due to my husband being active duty! We are both 25 this was both of our first apparent. There hasn’t been any rodents, haven’t had any maintenance issues, it was clean when I got here! I didn’t have any noise complaints. I always found parking near my building 8202! The grounds were always clean in my opinion. Never had issues with my neighbors. Staff was always nice. This was a great experience for it to be my very first apartment. I’ve also never felt unsafe. And my job requires me to work late sometimes (1 am) and go in early (4 am) I was by myself majority of the time cause my husband was in Korea, and I truly was fine. The was always quick and responsive! I think it was a great location! I truly am sad to be leaving! They set the standard very high for me! I will not move into another apartment complex UNLESS it is just as good as this one or better!
This is a very old apartment and not properly maintained. I used to get BGE bill $500 during winter and $200 during summer consistently which shows the heating and cooling system is old. When we called maintenance simply they don't respond. Now I moved out of that apartment I am getting BGE bill only $80 even during winter. Maintenance is a night mare here. They put the old carpet when I checked in and charge for the carpet when I move out after 3 years saying carpet has become old. They took my security deposit and charged $500 in addition to that. We used to get leaches and centipedes all the time when we used to live there and maintenance don't respond. I would strongly advice to stay out of this apartment especially if you have kids.
I am moving to MD from NY with my team of mid level managers. i just opened a new company in the rosedale.white marsh area. my employees where looking for a place to stay. Each of them where looking to rent their own apartment. they all loved what they saw online and wanted to visit this property. we arrived at the location and walked into the office. there was only one staff working that day(8/27/2016)2pm, however she was the worst leasing agent i have come across . the first mistake she did was, not saying hello, or welcome or how can i help you. she was busy talking to the customers signing their lease. there were 2 other customers in front of us, who got upset and left. this leasing agent didn't even bother to ask us why we were there? or let us know she will attend to us when she is done. we sat there for over an hour, and she was in her office on the computer. when we decided to leave, she didn't say anything to us. she didn't even bother to ask why we were there. she kept on talking to the two customer signing their lease. We would appreciate it if she said "i am sorry, but i will be with you in minute, but she just ignored us. as we we left another couple told us she did the same to them that's why they were waiting outside just looking around the community, but they decided not to go back in the office once we told them what we had experience . we decided to go to another property 3 minutes away from there, and my team made a deposit for 4 apartments next month. bad experience
I if you are looking to be here longer than a year, I would not recommend this place. As a previous reviewer stated, your rent will likely increase tremendously after the initial lease period- mine was set to increase by over $300 per month! They also have the very sneaky lease renewal clause, so make sure you know what you're doing so you give them 90 day's advance notice ( disregard all other confusing letters they may send, they will bitterly hold you to 90 days exactly.) Insulation is also pretty lousy here- heating bill was more for 660 square foot apartment than what I paid for a townhouse double the size. Noise is also a concern. I spent the last portion of my time here on maternity leave, and while nights are honestly not too bad here, there is just no quiet to be had during the day. As far as customer service- the first person we met was Nicole and she was great ( not sure she is even there anymore). Last February though, during a wicked cold spell our heat went out. Maintenance arrived two hours after our "after hours" call, told us it wasn't repairable that evening, and left us with one small space heater for the whole apartment. Good thing I was pregnant with hot flashes, I guess. Not so good for my pup, who was in the apartment until they came to fix the heat, not til about noon the following day. Customer service was rude and snarky about why I had a problem with this. Apartments and grounds are fairly well kept, even with all the dogs living here. The location is also near many stores, restaurants and such. Overall, if you need a temporary crash pad this could work. If you want any kind of "home"-this is not where I would suggest.
This is a perfect apartment, apartments are clean, have facilities like gym, swimming pool, near to mall and avenue.
Pros: Nice, Clean Apartments, near to White marsh mall, Giant and The Avenue. Cons: They increase the rent a lot after first year or stay.
Good value for price. Noise is minimal and location is great. the few times I've needed maintenance I received quick friendly response
