The Cove on 21st

maintenance never fixed anything in the 5 years I lived here. I personally fixed my own garbage disposal and dishwasher, replaced the thermostat several times. run from this place so not rent here. I've had property stolen, it's loud every night, had a maintenance scream at my disabled mother because she asked him not to damage our property while he was doing something. just don't live here y'all.

Since moving in over 3 years ago a lot has changed for the better, is there still room for improvement? Of course nothing is ever perfect but they’re doing great at achieving close to it.

This place is always trashed! In the past, maintenance lived on property. If that’s still the case, why are the dumpsters always a mess???? My ceiling fan hasn’t been fixed! I put in 3 requests to fix my toilet before they came and did it right. Rules say no BBQ pits but they’re everywhere! The basketball court has 1 goal and the other hasn’t been fixed in AT LEAST 4 years!!

Just moved in it is wonderful I would not definitely recommend

I love my neighbors and it's a nice quiet place to live.

The manager was very patient explaining everything for me. She allowed us to move in earlier in the day to avoid all my stuff getting rained over. She even came by to check on us and to make sure we had everything we need.

My wife, daughter, soon to be new born and I moved here the first week of March. We moved cross country from Washington State to make this move. With all things of that nature we did our research online from 2800 miles away and decided that what The Cove on 21st had to offer was the best choice via a "sight unseen option" for our move. Under no circumstance were we disappointed! A 's all around! I will elaborate below. Our concerns were; 1. Heat (temperature) since we were moving from a state that rains 30 inches of rain a month on average to a state that rains 30 inches of rain a year. I am happy to say that our apartment has a wonderful HVAC system in place with all digital controls that are easy to set and maintain. Our home stays as cool/hot as we wish without a second thought on our parts. My pregnant wife REALLY appreciates it! 2. Our research showed that a lot of places, and the state in general, "seems" to have a bedbug (or ant, bugs, etc.) issue. Yet, The Cove on 21st had all our fears covered even before we arrived! They have recurring checks with exterminators that check the property constantly. Any issue, question or concern has been met with an immediate response from the staff here. Other than "nature" we have no issue what-so-ever with any type of insect, and again are pleased with our choice to reside here. 3. Location, location, location! Moving to a city where we knew absolutely nothing about where to be, The Cove on 21st seemed ideal from our place in Washington. Once we arrived in Waco, Texas we were impressed at first (Totally still feel like a tourist discovering new places and sights every day lol) with how easy it was to find The Cove and how CENTRAL it is to everything anyone could ever need. 3-8 minutes by a car and you are literally ANYWHERE you need to be! So glad we made the choice to move here! 4. Price/Cost. Ok, this one is generally everyone's main concern! Ours as well. They have and continue to be putting money into these apartments on updates, renovations and general upkeep. Staffed with very nice, friendly and prompt maintenance individuals, office/leasing staff that is TOP NOTCH, and not to mention, the events for residents they have here, all of this made us wonder/fear about the cost of living here at The Cove on 21st. Those worries were VERY, VERY unfounded. For the cost/benefit of living here, this place is worth every "little" penny that we spend. The rates are incredibly low for the value that is offered.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. They turn off the water without any notice. When you call and ask they say for maintenance work. They are always doing construction and make it impossible to get out or in. Live any where but here!!!

The young lady was very helpful. Got confused a little on the application fee but she quickly explained it.

The neighborhood is quiet and near a lot of restaurants. Nice staff as well.

These people are patient and very friendly. The environment is very quiet and no trouble. The apartment workers are very accommadating.

From the minute you walk in to the leasing office you are treated like an important person. The office staff is friendly and inviting. The maintenance is always eager to help and goes above and beyond the call of duty. The property is clean and always quiet. They genuinely care about the residents. The office puts together Resident events every month and provide food and gifts to anyone that attends. They put treats on your doors and always keep you updated on the upcoming events. This has been my home for the past 5 years and could not imagine being anywhere else.

I have lived here going on two years i love the staff nd i love the fact if its broke they fix it u dont have to wait forever it is convenient for my kids to walk to school nd we have made several new friends. I have enjoyed my time at the cove on 21st

This is a wonderful property with a great staff from the office to the maintenance very well keeped and quiet I recommend anyone looking for an apartment to to check out the Cove on 21st Street they really make me feel at home

These apartments have been great! We have been living here for the last 4 years, and have never had any problems. Maintenance is always on point, the staff is very nice, and you get what you pay for. If any bugs are seen (we had sugar ants invade our home through the land line and walls, the sneaky buggers) they send people in promptly to take care of it. If you pay your rent on time, you never encounter problems with billing, and if you pay it early, you get a chance to have $100 off the next month's rent! They have good groundskeeping, and considering the age of the complex, the apartments look nice. The 2b/2b is fairly spacious, more so than most apartments in the area of a similar layout. I've enjoyed my stay, and I know you will too!

I really enjoy my neighbors, professional staff, timely maintenance requests, large porch/balcony area, storage unit attached. Neighbors all watch out for each other. Safe--lighted areas. One of the best apartment complexes I have lived at.

I could not be happier with my experience at the cove. From the day I walked in to the office until I walked out I was in an amazing mood. Melissa is very friendly and outgoing. Everything was explained very well during my tour. The prices are perfect for my budget and I can't wait to move in!!

These apartments are just excellent. Everything is professional here. The service and the rooms! The rooms are outstandingly neet and amazing! The service there is so helpful and nice with a smile on their faces! There is nothing I can say more about these apartments. They are just outstanding! Highly recommended

The apartments are incredibly affordable for how much you're receiving! The layouts are super spacious. And it's in a good neighborhood, it's always quiet and chill. The staff is amazing too! Maintenance is on point, and the people in the office are always very compassionate and attentive. GREAT APARTMENT! highly recommend

I haven't been with this community long, but in the short time I have I can tell you the staff is amazing! Brandy is great and very professional when the occasion asks for it, and Jasmine is very welcoming as well! The maintenance staff helps whenever they are asked to and the community is very quiet all the time. A great place to live, with affordable prices and great customer service. Highly recommend!!

The best apts I have ever lived in period..... maintenance is at the top of there game. Everyone minds there own business... The Staff is Awesome ..the best of the best,hope to see you soon

FIRST OFF, BRANDY IS MY BEST AND SWEETEST FRIEND FOR LIFE. ALL THREE LADIES ARE AWESOME. THE MAINTENANCE MAN,(CASEY) AWESOME GUY. HE GETS THE JOB DONE IN MY EYES.OTHER THAN THAT GOT A GREAT STAFF.BENEFITS ARE AWESOME. FINALLY GOT SOME PEOPLE THAT LOVES ONE ANOTHER. HAVE TO TELL YOU THE BAD NEWS NOW. I KNOW THESE WERE BUILT IN 1978. BUT STILL, THE SHEET ROCK ,PAINTING AND FLOORING IS VERY POOR. ITS EITHER YOU DO THE JOB RIGHT OR DON'T DO IT AT ALL. GET SOMEONE WHO HAS A HEAD ON THERE SHOULDER AND KNOWS HOW TO DO THE JOB RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. AS FAR THE PESTS GOES...MICE ARE HISTORY,BUT NATS !! ITS TERRIBLE,AND THAT'S EVEN TAKING THE TRASH OUT AND THE WHOLE ENCHILADA. ROACHES...I'M SORRY...BUT APARTMENTS ARE THE WORST PLACE FOR THOSE WATER BUGS.OTHER THAN THAT..THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX CAN USE A SAUNA OR A WALKING TRACK ..SOMETHING DIFFERENT, IS WHERE I AM GETTING AT.PERHAPS A LEARNING CENTER MIGHT BE GOOD,WITH PEOPLE THAT DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO A COMPUTER. OR HOW ABOUT A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN DO A LITTLE WORKOUT,LIKE A SMALL GYM. JUST SOME IDEAS.

The good: The maintenance staff is very quick and the base price is very low. The bad: My wife and I have only lived here for 2 months and this complex has already fell woefully short of our meager expectations. We expected a modest apartment for a modest price and have found ourselves inconvenienced at every turn. So far we have paid almost $1000 in fees. The first was a late fee. I didn't realize that 2nd months rent was due the first because I had paid first months on the 16th. I would be fine with a modest late fee for my mistake, but I had to pay $120 when I paid within hours of the first reminder (that's 20% of my rent for those keeping score at home). That one was at least on me. The second fee was a charge to get rid of the bedbugs that were in the apartment when we moved in. We had never had bedbugs before and we don't plan on ever letting them happen again. They are a nightmare. They are much worse when your apartment complex pegs the blame on you (again, I didn't even know that bedbugs were more than a childhood nightmare) and makes you pay for their bedbugs. I made the mistake of signing a lease that put me in a very bad position in an effort to get a good deal. I beg that you do not do the same. The Ugly (aka the things we knew weren't that great but the price was worth it): the apartments are pretty ugly and are farther from Baylor campus and downtown Waco than we would have liked.
