The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Cottages
Meh. Lived there for 12 months. There is a permanent grime to the place! I’m getting charged for general cleaning fees (in the lease, boo shouldn’t have to pay for wear and tear) but I can’t comprehend what they even cleaned when I moved in. The stove is butted up against the wall so the paint is bubbling there. The kitchen fan couldn’t be used because black flakes would rain down. Had a hole in the wall from the internet jack being out, took three complaints till someone came. Had a fridge leak that didn’t get fixed. The rooms are not evenly sized for some reason, so someone will def get the short end of the stick. Every ceiling was different in the rooms. In my room (2nd smallest) there where big pieces of wood going across it and it looked like the ceiling was warping. Also, the weird little laundry unit they have in the 101 apartment building (only building with washer dryers) absolutely suck. Sopping wet clothes with terrible dryers. Mainly upset of costs. I paid for 12 full months only to get kicked out in the early half of May. Makes 0 sense to charge full month if I have to move out within the first two weeks. I’m getting charged from my security deposit for normal wear and tear cleaning and replacing curtain rods that were already rickety and damaged when I moved in. Apparently they’re upping rent to $450 next year. For what? Floor heaters that have spiders and dust in them? But I guess it’s cheaper than most places.
I’ve lived here for two years and there’s a new problem every week or so. The unit we were shown was completely different from the one we were eventually given, even though we were promised what we had seen. Our fridge was in the closet and the kitchen barely allows one person in at a time. Everything will burn, so don’t even bother trying to adjust the oven temp. The walls around the windows are cracked and outside air will get in during the winter. There is no heating in my bedroom only. The only upside is that the maintenance people are friendly (likely because they call other people in to take care of things they can’t do).
