Property Ratings at The Colony Apartments
I've lived here for about 3 years. Great staff, location, maintenance team. Older buildings but clean. Even with Union Grove, no loud noises.
As someone who’s lived in apartments before, I understand that I will be able to hear noises from the people above me because it’s natural. However, the PERSON above me literally stomps and runs through his apartment at the most random times which disrupts my sleep. To prevent calling the office too much, I call when it gets out of hand. The first time I was told to approach him and ask him to be quiet. That was weird as he’s a man and I’m a woman, however, we’re adults, right? That back fired as he told me the sounds I was hearing wasn’t from him. When I told the office, they supposedly called. However, the noise persists. I called again yesterday and the manager was so rude. I told her I was calling about the noise as she’s used to me calling now. As I was explaining the noise that I’m hearing to her she kept saying, “it doesn’t sound like he’s doing it on purpose”… I never said he’d done anything purposefully so I didn’t know why she was saying that. As we were talking, there was a lag in the phone. I know that cause we kept cutting each other off. However, she cut me off to tell me that I was cutting her off and allow her to speak. So unprofessional as again there was an obvious delay on the call. So, the entire call she explained to me that he’s not making any noise purposefully and that I was cutting her off. I’ve recorded the insane noise that’ll be made and I offered to have a meeting where she could hear the recordings. She declined. She ended the call saying she’d call me after she talked to him… haven’t heard back. Her lack of professionalism is ridiculous and she needs to be replaced with someone with a better attitude.
I’ve lived here about 6 years, friendly staff and maintenance is very responsive. Usually doesn’t take any longer than a day to get something fixed
I have lived in The Colony Apts. for several years. Very nice and safe place to live . Perfect location to all your needs . Management goes above and beyond to make it a wonderful place to live . If you have any issues they are delt with right away . If you have any repair orders maintenance is there the same day . They are very trustworthy to be in your home without you being there . And when you get home it will be fixed stress free . They will send you a flyer when extermination is coming.You don’t have to be there or move things . They are in and out with no worries. I will definitely miss the entire staff . The only reason I am moving is due to my job. If I ever move back to Waco . It will be back to The Colony Apartments !
I have lived at The Colony Apartments for several years and not once have I had a problem. Anytime I have a work order it is done the same day or first thing the next day. They are currently updating the exterior part of the property and it makes me love coming home even more! I highly recommend living at The Colony Apartments!
Very rude assistant manager. She was disrespectful and always texting on her phone. She seems unaware of her job responsibilities and doesn't know what's going on half the time. She said it would be a problem because I have an ESA (Emotional Support Animal). It is against the law to deny someone because of that. She only tried being nice after I called my attorney. She also cuts you off and talks over you. I will never move here. I want to live somewhere that treats me and my 7 month old son and my dog with respect.
I have enjoyed my stay at The Colony. I have not had any complaints or problems. It is a nice place and a great location to everything in town, including a short drive to work. I would reccomend someone to live here. It also has a nice sparking pool to cool down in.
