A Great Home For Me and My Pup!

I love everything about The Colonnade, from the amazing staff, to the great location, to the amenities for my pup! There are a few BBQ/Picnic areas for them to explore, and a very spacious dog park! Lived here for over 4 years now, and I look forward to more!

You will love it!

Couldn't be happier to call this place home! I have called the Colonnade Luxury Townhomes my home for the past year and am about to renew my lease. There are so many components that make this an amazing place. The office staff (Nicole and Billie) are so personable and always greet me by name and are happy to help with whatever i need, big or small. The maintenance staff is professional and friendly and the grounds are kept up so nicely. I've lived in several apartments in my lifetime, but this one definitely stands out as the best. You can see the pride in every detail and I am proud to live here.

Great place to call home!

We’ve lived here for almost two years and plan on living here until we find a house. My boyfriend and I along with our dog love our 1 bed townhome, it’s the perfect size. We also love having the garage space. Very minimal noise from the neighbors. Ester and Nicole are super friendly and accommodating! They’ve assisted us while we were out of town and had a dog sitter emergency or package issue. Their maintenance team are A+! Carlos and the guys are super helpful. They take care of their property and it shows. We’re glad we chose this place from out of state - sight unseen! We don’t regret it one bit. -Theresa, Somy, and Doyle

Quiet Living in Hillsboro

I've lived at The Colonnade for almost 2 years, and I'm very pleased with how quiet the community is. I have neighbors on both sides of me, and I was very worried about noise but I rarely hear anything. I came from an apartment situation and was constantly hearing stomping above me and music, TV and parties from neighbors. I love having the nature trails behind me, and my pup enjoys the dog park. Having a garage again is great - there is ample room for 2 cars and storage. The open concept on the main living floor makes it feel even bigger than it is. I have the 2 bedroom/2 bath floor plan, and it's plenty of room when my adult children and their spouses come to visit. I plan to stay here until I buy a house. If you are looking for a quiet place to spread out and relax that feels like home, The Colonnade is the place!

Great place to live

We have lived here for nearly 5 years (family of 5) and absolutely love it. We will likely be here until we finally purchase a house. The townhouses are very big with large vaulted ceilings. Management is great and friendly, and will know you personally in no time. Maintenance is great too, very friendly and helpful. Also has a great dog park and some really nice walking/hiking trails. High quality living space and at a great price per square foot in the area. Highly recommended!

Our dog LOVES the Colonnade and her humans feel the same!

We moved into the Colonnade in the spring and I can honestly say that I have never loved living anywhere as much as I love it here. The community is safe, clean, and really on a lovely property. The people who live in the community are friendly and it feels much more like a neighborhood than an apartment complex. Esther and Nicole are absolutely the most kind, friendly, and helpful property managers and are always available to help grab a package and pick it up if we were going to be out of town, help put a maintenance request in, or just fun to chat with. Each day our dog pulls us to the leasing office to visit our friends Nicole and Esther and they kindly give her a treat. The maintenance team is so friendly and they are always around to help with anything. The apartment we are in is so spacious and comfortable. It is very clean and we rarely hear our neighbors. (I am VERY picky about that!) The Rock Creek Trail backs up to the property and it is a lovely place to run and bike and walk. Our dog loves the safe, large, fenced-in dog park where she can run around without a leash. I don't think I have ever gone on more walks than I do living here because it is just so beautiful and truly convenient to everything. We loved to go for a walk on weekend mornings and then go walk to coffee down the street after. I can't say more good things about the Colonnade the amazing staff, location, property, pool and gym, and our beautiful home. I HIGHLY recommend the Colonnade!

Living in a Virtual Treehouse!

We moved to Oregon from Florida over a year ago and couldn’t be happier! Our townhome overlooks Rock Creek Trail, so when we sit on our balcony it feels like we’re living in a treehouse. SO gorgeous with LOTS of birds! Nicole, Esther, and Billie are the 3 amazing ladies who run this place like a well-oiled machine! I can’t even begin to tell you all the hats they wear and how wonderful they are! They helped so much with our move and continue to help out in any way they can. The grounds and townhomes are maintained beautifully by a team of amazing and friendly hard workers who always have smiles on their faces. We are in walking distance to the Shops of Tanasbourne (Macys, Gap, Victoria Secret, REI, Thirsty Lion, etc.) and a ton of other places. We’re a five minute drive/walk (one mile) to the Quatama Max station which will get you into downtown Portland in about 30 minutes in one direction and downtown Hillsboro in 10 minutes in the other direction. Plus, if you like to walk or ride your bike you are literally on top of a trail which will lead you to other amazing trails for miles! We were planning on looking for a house to buy but for now we are staying here indefinitely! We ?? Colonnade! A++ from this retired teacher!

Living hear for 2 + years and still 5 stars

As stated in many of the other reviews Nicole and the staff are what makes this place 5 stars. When I move it will be to buy a house, I have no desire to rent anywhere else, here is why; 1) Staff/ Crew - Everyone is very friendly and respond quickly to maintenance and other requests. Through there website/app you can get fixes done quickly! I once put in a request to fix a broken ceiling fan online and they were at my door in 40 minutes. No matter where you rent anything can happen in a townhouse rental, smoke alarm malfunction, garage door, washing machine, ceiling fans..etc.. the Colonnade staff is super responsive and professional. 2) Location/facilities - You are on rock creek trail, not near it. Super easy to walk your dog or ride your bike. The dog park for Colonnade residents has wood chips on the ground instead of gravel or mud. Your about 1 - 1.5 miles away from everything- a little over a mile away from Quatama train station where you can catch the Blue line to downtown Portland. A little less than a mile from Streets of Tanasbourne. If you have a dog Hondo dog park which is a very nice large dog park is about 1.5 miles up the road. There are some good bike lanes surrounding the area with a fairly new protected bike lane running from Cornell past Evergreen ending around the highway overpass.

NICOLE IS THE BEST!!!

My S/O relocated from Texas to Hillsboro, Oregon about a year ago and was able to do the entire leasing process remotely. Nicole walked us through each step and made the transition seamless. I joined him August of 2019 and Nicole and Esther both went above and beyond to get me added to the lease. We love the neighborhood and how quiet it is. However, we also enjoy the community and how almost every night we see people using the pool and grilling out. It is conveniently located to both his work at Intel and my job in Portland. We are close to the Blue line and it makes my commute a breeze. The Colonnade is very pet friendly as well. Our townhome is beautiful and we have enjoyed the garage amenity. I have used the gym several times and it is always clean and has a variety of machines to use. All in all we are happy that we decided to call the Colonnade our home and looking forward to spending several more years here. Stephanie & Ben

Love it!

I love The Colonnade! I've lived in all the different floor plans over the last 17+ years! The girls in the leasing office are fantastic and maintenance is quick and very helpful!! Highly recommend!!

Quiet, clean , and friendly

Moved here about six months ago. The management team has been a delight to work with. I moved here from Cali and was able handle everything remotely before I moved up. The area has everything you need from shopping to restaurants. There is a beautiful walking/bike trail behind the complex. The maintenance staff is efficient and friendly. They always give notice before they need to enter to handle required safety/fire inspections. The townhomes are very spacious though they could use some more storage closets. The garage makes up for that. This is one of the most ethnically diverse areas in Oregon I have seen. The people around are very friendly. -1705

Intrusive Management

I’m finally out of this place next month! Management here is really poor. They are constantly demanding access to all the units. Four times in the past five months alone (as of June 2019), notices have been placed on all the units advising that their apartment will be inspected. First it’s a safety inspection, then a fire inspection, then it’s the fireplace, then the faucets!?! Management here is out of control. I am constantly having to kennel my dog to accommodate. Management could perform one inspection and do everything at once, but this wouldn’t be convenient for them. Instead they plaster notes on everyone’s doors across the complex - advising they will enter at any time during a 3-5 day period. If you don’t answer the door, they will enter with their own key. Residents have no choice as to when, why or how many times they enter. Get me outta here! If you have pets, good luck managing that with the near constant requests to enter your home while you are away. Plus, the walls are so poorly insulated here you can totally hear your neighbors talk (and more). This place is nice at first glance, but living here is another matter entirely.

Disappointing

The location is great and ultimately the reason we picked this community. The town homes are nice. However, the management is terrible! They constantly play games and make ridiculous excuses. They are quick to blame a problem on someone else, IE someone higher up or someone they have contracted. The maintenance team is great with responding to requests but often do the same as the management making lame excuses for requests and sometimes just say that’s just how it is. The grounds are clean and fairly well maintained but plants that die are not replaced so there are many bald spots around the community. Parking for visitors or additional vehicles is horrible. There isn’t enough parking for the community. They have been doing some upgrades within the community, IE roofs. However, the projects seem to forever on going. Making parking even more difficult, the community noisy, and overall a bit of a construction zone for the current tenants. There was recently an issue with the trash compactor that took over 6 weeks to fix. In the meantime they parked all of the dumpsters along the back of the community underneath several units’ balconies. Though, many of the units have been ‘upgraded’ the quality of the upgrades are very poor. They install the cheapest stainless steel appliances and their ‘wood look floors’ in the two bedrooms is just vinyl floor. We decided to upgrade our unit and pay the extra monthly, we greatly regret doing this. First, we really felt it was a bate and switch, we were told things would be upgraded that weren’t. Second, the quality of the upgrades wasn’t worth it considering that this community has one of the higher monthly upgrade fees in the area. The floors squeak quite bad in our unit and we can hear our neighbors floors doing the same through the walls. Their excuses for ‘dog stations’ are a joke! There are only 2 or 3 in the community; they don’t have a trash can attached to them, are out of dog bags half the time, and difficult to access. The dog park was great, however, since they added the wood chips it has been less enjoyable. It was nice that they added them to try to help with the mud during rainier times but when it is dry the chips just slide everywhere and no one comes to pull them back up the hill. Also, since they added the chips many people have not been cleaning up after their dogs. The chips are also so big some dogs find them uncomfortable to play on.

Great place to live at!

Just moved here over a week ago and I couldn’t be any happier! Very not e neighbors and it is very quiet also. Staff is very nice and makes sure that you have everything is taken care of for you and always asks how your day is going or how living in your place is going.

We just started our second year here and we couldn’t be happier. Very homey. The homes are clean and comfortable and the staff is very accommodating. My family and pets are very happy here.

Excellent place to live

The colonnade is a great place to live. Excellent staff and maintenance. Nicole (who works in the leasing office)is absolutely wonderful !! She has helped me with more than 1 difficult situation over the past 6 months. You will definitely get a place here, if you meet her.

Well maintained

Great place to live

We moved here in July and lived here for 6 months and are leaving for a job transfer. This is a great place to live! We were helped with everything we ever needed by Nicole in the office. We moved from the South so it was a shock to not have central air but that is not a big deal as it doesn't get really hot but for a few days in the summer. The community is quiet and I really believe we could have left our doors unlocked as it is so safe.

Unfair rent price hike

I currently live in a one bedroom and one bath townhouse. I can't complain. The staff is nice. Maintenance is quick to repair any issues. I particularly love having a garage and not having to deal with other tenants. The neighborhood is quiet. I am giving the Colonnade 2 stars due to the fact management has raised my rent $185 dollars. I was paying $1074/mos and now I have to pay &1254/mos for a 1 bedroom/1 bath! It is utterly insane. I am very responsible and I always pay on time. I asked the staff if there was any room for a price negotiation since I've lived here for 2 years and they said they could not do anything because its corporate. Corporate does not have any considerations for good paying law abiding tenants!!!

The Colonnade

I am very happy living here, it is so quiet and peaceful and it does feel like home, the only thing I am having trouble with is the communication with the office they say one thing do another and they seem like they are not all there when you are talking to them. I find I have to get everything in writing just to protect myself. but all are super nice and so far easy to get along with.
