When we are call to enquiry about the apartments, no response .I tried several times no response, left the message no response.

The staff were not only amazing, but they provided a great tour along with plenty of information on the questions I asked.

This property is very unsanitary! the apartments are infested with roaches and management does nothing to eliminate this situation. They try to charge you for damages that exist at the apartment prior to move in even with evidence to support your claim. Stay away from this property, believe me when I tell you it will be a nightmare!!!

During my stay at this apartment complex, I had many regrettable experiences due to the lack of safety measures or basic hygiene. The building and apartments are in disrepair, with broken windows, mold, and doors that don't shut correctly. The absence of management throughout my lease made me feel neglected, and I had concerns about my safety. The parking lot was dimly lit, which increased my anxiety about the possibility of a break-in. I wouldn't advise anyone to rent here, particularly if they value their safety, health, and well-being.

torchlight is one of the cheapest apartments in tallahassee and they provide impeccable service everything is done in a timely manner and they are also very friendly and will help you with any questions that you have.

Love the 2x2 1/2 set up. The common area is super spacious for friends & family to come and hangout for game days. It’s close to a shopping plaza so I don’t have to go far to do my grocery shopping.

Torchlight Townhomes has provided me a home for my undergrad! Great staff up front and attentive maintenance!

I Love Torchlight It Is Definitely a Home Away From Home . The Office People are so kind and the maintenance team moves very fast to get our needs met. Torchlight is a friendly environment and recommend everyone to stay there

the property is pretty big and kept clean throughout the year. Resident are nice and pet friendly. plenty of parking for you and your friends. Make sure to get them registered!!

I went to the bingo event in February and it was great. Nice refreshments and prizes!

The units are spacious & so are the rooms especially the downstairs bedroom, though the downstairs bathroom is a bit smaller than the rest. The maintenance will come and fix whatever it is you request to be faced within a decent time and the front office employees are very kind and respectful.

The staff is friendly and there are many amenities and different activities offered throughout each month for residents to participate in. Highly recommended.

In my opinion, for the price & the fact that it’s student housing it isn’t too bad. When you move in there may be a few things that needs fixing from a previous renter but maintenance is always available & comes pretty quick. Front office is super friendly & the neighborhood is quiet.

This is my first semester at torchlight and ive never been happier, i love how there are mo issues in the community, its quiet, and my room is spacious enough for me to function. Im satisfied!

Torchlight has a great team in office! Jacques has treated me great with my experience staying here . The rooms are huge , and downstairs is nice! Maintence always comes on time , no complaints. Only thing is the wifi needs to be upgraded .

I’d give this place a 3.5/5. It’s decently priced, but the front office is what really makes it. They are friendly, helpful and fun! There are always things going on.

Ever since moving in they have treated us so great l, if we ever have a problem and need maintenance they come either within the day or the next. Truly great place to live

i’ve been living here for a year and the housing is decent, it could be worse.

1/24/2021 My daughters apartment is filled with mold. The main filter was recently changed, and it is filled with dirt and mold (about 1/2 inch thick). Mold is now present on one wall, above a vent. The washer wasn’t draining. Sat full of water with clothes in it for a few days. Maintenance came to extract the water, but left some at the bottom. It’s been almost two weeks now without a washer. Maintenance is in no hurry to address her complaints. These complaints are just the tip of the iceberg. If I could attach photos, I would. I’m seriously contemplating legal action, so please, avoid this mold infested disgusting dump. (I only gave it one star because I had to pick something)

I had to find a last minute apartment, and even though the office was busy with move-out everyone was very friendly in helping me find an apartment that was a good fit for me. Thanks torchlight!

I knew I made a horrible decision. I signed because of the "lower prices" and because the apartment itself wasn't too bad, but the utility bill is always SO high, Wi-Fi NEVER works, maintenance is slow (expect to wait MONTHS to get anything fixed), and I am sick of the constant unannounced maintenance checks. At least inform me the day that they're coming??? This is why I am finally writing a review because I feel like my space has been invaded whenever they just come in without a previous email/announcement. Also, my packages would come on a day but torchlight wouldn't update that I can pick it up until AFTER the front office is closed??? Please don't sign here, I promise there are other places that are leagues above torchlight. The front office is the only redeeming factor because the staff are nice aside from the unannounced maintenance people.

Although the people working at Torchlight have been mostly nice and helpful, staying at this place was a nightmare. - When I moved into the place was disgusting. No one had cleaned the living area in years. The oven was damaged. The cabinets were damaged. The couch was torn to shreds. My room had stains everywhere and a damaged carpet. - Facilities weren't maintained. The pool turned green one time because it hadn't been cleaned in so long. Only one treadmill worked the time I was there. Half of the year the gate was either broken or just open for anybody. - When I moved out they tried to pin the damage to the living area on me which I clearly marked in the form checking in. After disputing that and paying whatever was left, I get a text 2 months later accusing me I never paid it and I was going to be sent to collections unless I did. Again I had to dispute it. Like I said before, the staff here was usually very nice and helpful but it doesn't make up for the conditions and the administrative problems I experienced. You can find a much better place for cheaper I promise you. I don't know how but this place continues to be a headache for me even after I moved out over 2 months ago.

I am the Mom of a young man who is a student at FSU. We ran into a bit of a situation with the leasing process and although they did not have to, they showed kindness and grace in helping us come to a good resolution. Thank you torchlight and Ms. Issabella. We really appreciate you! Cheryl

Torchlight townhomes is in the best place to stay . The prices are OK but there’s mold and some of the apartments come without TVs . The staff upfront are not that helpful and they do not get things done on time .

My son signed a lease in January and in 1" letters at the top of the application wrote "ALLERGIC TO CATS", his roommate has had illegal cats in the unit since January causing my son to have allergic reactions daily for months(rashes, swollen eyes, etc). He has been crashing at friends' places for months to avoid them. The office refuses to move him into a another unit unless he pays $250.00 fee. He even renewed for next year and has to stay in the same unit. Office staff say the cats are illegal and should be gone in a few days but the cat hair is in the apartment, the carpet, the washer, the cats go in his room anytime he leaves the door open. Because no one claims the cats or the damaged they have done we are getting hit with a illegal animal fee.

My son stayed here and they are a bunch of professional rip-off artists. Each month they add utility overage fees with no actual statement from the utility company. At move out they charge the tenant for professional carpet cleaning (if the tenant doesn't hire cleaners themselves) even though state law does not allow landlords to do so for normal wear and tear. (The carpets were not damaged or dirty beyond normal use.) Read the other reviews and AVOID this place!

I lived here from August 2016 to March 2017 and lemme tell you, it's expensive for the filth you get! We moved in and there's wood rot under the whole counter(literally falling apart), the dishwasher, sink, and oven were rusty, the carpet and tile hadn't been cleaned AT ALL, and many things were broken and not up to par. My room window didn't even shut all the way or lock. It's got a nice amount of space, but it's just a huge DIY project. I finally subleased 2 months ago and still have not received my refund check because they changed names (used to be University Club Townhomes) and lost my paperwork. Not my fault! I need my check! Anyways, just do yourself a favor and don't rent at this overly expensive, disorganized, and dirty place.
