The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Calypso at Samish Hill
To start this off, I originally moved in when it was under a different management and my experience started off amazing! Nearly 2 months into renting, Olympic took over and everything went downhill. More and more tenants were unhappy, everyone was talking amongst themselves about not renewing leases. They added a bunch of extra charges on all the tenants that were not included in the original lease. We were originally told that each unit would be metered and we would be paying for our own utilities based off of that. Once Olympic took over, they started to charge a set dollar amount every month no matter how much you were using. Additionally, the parking situation was awful! They let vehicles from other buildings park in the West building because there was no more room in their garages. Tenants of this building would come back home in the evening to find no parking spaces.. which is OUTRAGEOUS for the price that we were paying to park. Once you try to move out, they charge an absurd amount of money out of your security deposit even when they tell you that “your apartment is in great condition!” You are 100% just a money machine and not a human to these people. I would STAY AWAY if I were you. There’s a reason why I never wanted to live at any of the other buildings near the Jake before Olympic took over; they never responded to calls or inquiries and all I got was radio silence (which was a major red flag for me) There’s a reason why there’s so many units available all at a similar time. People HATE living here because this management will make your life hell!
There is still a few months worth of construction left on the building for anyone to live here comfortably. There is also very little privacy here. Will most likely become student living unfortunately
