Champlin is a small, triangular city lying along the Mississippi River about twenty miles north of Minneapolis. The city is bordered on the west side by Elm Creek Park Reserve, a huge wooded area full of trails, lakes, and open spaces to explore and enjoy. A large section of the reserve juts into the city as well, providing those renting in Champlin with easy access to the solitude of nature. Due largely to the city’s close proximity to the river, boating and fishing are popular pastimes among locals.
