The Renton Hill neighborhood lies 15 miles east of downtown Seattle, a mile above downtown Renton. This mostly residential area is great for people who want to get more for their money in a quieter environment, but still close enough to experience Seattle’s uniqueness.

With Interstate 405 at its foothills, Renton Hill allows residents to travel to nearby shopping hubs like Westfield Southcenter. There are plenty of options for shopping, dining, and nightlife closer to the neighborhood as well. With multiple trails and parks in the community, Renton Hill is great for spending time outdoors. Local favorite Cedar River Park houses multi-use athletic fields, a 300-seat theater, and an aquatic center along the beautiful Cedar River.

Renton Hill has plenty to offer, but if you’re looking for a weekend getaway, Seattle is only a 20-minute drive away.

Laminate flooring in upper units is a huge mistake. There's not enough insulation under the flooring, and residents of lower units hear every footstep or furniture move from above.

Here’s the updated review incorporating the fact that you were forced to end your lease: Terrible Living Conditions—Avoid This Apartment!

I cannot stress enough how awful my experience has been living in this apartment. The management is unresponsive, and the smoking issue is absolutely intolerable. My neighbor smokes heavily, and despite my numerous complaints, management has done nothing to remedy the situation. The thick smoke seeps into our unit, making it impossible to breathe—especially in one of our bedrooms. I was ultimately forced to end my lease because I could no longer tolerate the conditions. I strongly advise anyone considering moving here to think twice. You will regret it. Do not stay in this apartment—find somewhere else where you can actually feel comfortable and live without the constant intrusion of secondhand smoke.

I have really enjoyed my time at this complex, I've lived here for about 10/11 years. Outside of recent communication issues, I've also never really been bothered it hassled either, it's a quiet, convenient and beautiful place to live.

We've been living in this apartment complex for a little over 4 years now and I've enjoyed how quiet and tucked away it is. I never have to wait more than 24 hours from putting in a work order, for maintenance to come and fulfil my request! It honestly takes less than 24 hours and the work is always completed quickly and by polite and attentive staff.

They keep losing our cashier check that asked for us when moving. Didnt update their records that it was simply their lack of organization. This is the second time theyve lost our check and we will no longer renew our lease. No one ever picks up their phone during covid. When to confront them they said they had been calling but havent. We dont like liars, we dont trust the people in front office or managements. They are also cutting down on more garbage bins. So they rather leave the mess to the garbage company or maintenance workers. I guess they are perfectly fine seeing broken glass and piles of garbage being spilled to the floor. I used to recommend the place to friends and family. We no longer will. Seems like our neighborhood feels the same way.

I absolutely love living at The Berkshire Apartment Homes. The management staff is always friendly and eager to help, they are responsive and timely in communication. I love the lay out of the apartment homes; I have lived in both a two bedroom/two bath and one bedroom apartment and both were beautiful layout with clean and well managed finishes (not an updated unit). There has never been anything majorly wrong with appliances but when I needed something fixed, maintenance comes within 48 hours. The outside of the units are well maintained and there is so much beautiful greenery. The units are competitively priced for the area, especially considering that there are both washer and dryers in most units, there is a ceiling fan, amenities, and it;s in a prime area. They also did not go up on my original rent when my lease was up for renewal. You also get one free parking spot! That is unheard of! It really is a perfect living situation for me, minus having to pay so much rent. I would recommend this living community to anyone. The only thing I would want to change is the lighting. There's barely any natural or light fixtures in the apartment.

Nice, clean space. Safe neighborhood, easy access to lots of amenities. I like the privacy and security here. Bugs, spiders and ants can be an issue but the rental office is responsive. Overall, positive experience.

Great location in Renton near 5 & 405 FWY's, SEATAC airport and shopping. Good complex with workout equipment and two pools. Office and maintenance staff are great!

Nice, clean apartments with reliable staff and friendly neighbors

I've lived in this apartment complex for about three months after having moved in with a friend. This complex is great, I'm very pleased with it. Pros: The management keeps the grounds maintenanced The people around here a kind The buildings themselves are kept very clean Staff is reliable -- our washing machine broke just about a week ago and they had it replaced the very next day at no cost to us as stated in our lease. Two pools and little park areas to sit and hang out. There's even a climbing wall, suitable for children. There's also a playground nearby, though it's a bit of a walk. Cons: The ceiling isn't super thick, so I can hear the people above me when they have guests over or trip and drop something, but that isn't a big deal to me as it doesn't bother me. What's most important to me is that the space is clean and nice and the management is reliable, and I have that here. I have no complaints.
