Belhaven shares part of its musical heritage with Jackson, located two miles northwest, and has many local amenities such as the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science and the 305-acre LeFleur's Bluff State Park, a 305-acre park offering hiking trails, a nine-hole golf course, fishing, camping, and picnicking. The neighborhood sits just south of University of Mississippi and east of Jackson State University, and it is home (and named for) Belhaven University, located off Riverside Drive. Belhaven University is the oldest college in Jackson. Millsaps College is also located in Belhaven.
This ideally-located neighborhood puts residents close to the Jackson Zoo, Hawkins Field Airport, the Pearl River, and Lefleur's Bluff State Park, which is home to the Mississippi Children's Museum and the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science.

I called Janice one day and told her I wanted to come view it. She told me I could see it on a Friday and she would call me Friday to let me know what time to be there. I got a room in Jackson the night before so I would be prepared and ready because I stay 2 hours away. I call her Friday and she tells me she’s unavailable due to a move in, and to give her a call when I was ready to reschedule. I’ve CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES, and she doesn’t answer! My boyfriend called her and she told him come view it Thursday and she told him she would call him Thursday. Guess what? SHE DID NOT and she won’t answer his calls now either! We were looking forward to making this place home. But now, ABSOLUTELY NOT!

From the photos, I’ve gotten extremely excited about this property. Only to make a call to get more information and find out the guy who answered the phone is rude. My one star is based specifically off that. In case you didn’t know, that’s a big part of leasing as well. Now, I’m on the fence as to even living here. I didn’t catch a name, because he was speaking so fast and irritatedly responded with “I thought I explained this to you already”, things of that matter when I ask for clarification. Yet, I did call about 5 minutes ago. Good luck on your search folks!
