The neighborhood stretches from just north of Highway 90 south toward Seminole Golf Course and Club. Overall, this complex is below average. Especially compared to other places in tally, this isn't worth the price for what you're getting and how far it is from campus. Wouldn't recommend. When I moved in parking was supposed to be free, there was supposed to be a large recreational area with multiple courts. "Brand new apartments." All of this was a lie. My room wasn't even cleaned out before I moved in let alone the things they said the complex would have. There was glass in my tub drain. No sealant on the windows. Broken AC. Guest parking is closer to units than resident parking unless you pay for reserved now. Taking out the trash is a nightmare if you're not in a building close to the compactor. I've had package go missing. Mold. Broken fire alarms that went off for hours for entire building because they couldn't turn it off. List goes on. Again... Do. Not. Reccommend.
Truly love the space as my room is very spacious, the office is super cute as well and the front desk workers are approachable and eager to help. I do enjoy my time here & my roommate is great also.

A lot of space for a good price. Good location. Renovated buildings are really nice I just wish the outside was kept up nicer. Residents with dogs to do not pick up after themselves.

I have stayed here for almost a full year and am horrified of this place. I am counting down the days until I move out because not only have we had constant roach infestations, but we have had a million maintenance issues and MOLD that no one will ever fix. We had mold in our AC unit and all they did was paint over the water stains. The door to our porch is broken, there is a gap in the bottom and bugs constantly get in even when putting a towel down. So much mold in the windows not just our AC unit. So many bugs. Plumbing issues. My roommate has a broken window and two of my roommates had broken showers upon move in. The place looks nice and the pool is nice but just know what you're getting into!
So far it’s been a smooth process . The workers in the office are extremely nice and helpful. So as of now I have zero complaints towards the neighborhood and I just hope that it continues to stay that way. Shoutout to Kyla at the front!

This apartment is good for the price but we have had a few issues regarding ac that makes the summer hard to stay and with bugs such as silverfish coming through the drains constantly.

I like the apartment but the parking spaces are too small, maintenance don’t come the same day you need them, we need cameras on every building.

There were many issues at move in that have improved since then. If you other options though I'd still recommend that over the asher. Especially since there are similar priced alternatives that are more established and better maintained.

Out of all the places I have lived during college, this has been my least favorite. It was advertised as brand new, but it was actually renovated. But, many of the old features of the apartment are still present. Have also had trouble with the maintenance staff and their urgency to fix issues, issues that should not be here in the first place. What I can say is that they do a good job of putting on community events and getting residents involved.

New community so the aesthetics look great. But a lot of fixing of new appliances, etc., which creates maintenance overload. Although the maintenance request are done within 24 to 48 hours.

I would not recommend this student housing at all. The management is unresponsive and clearly doesn't care about its tenants. The staff are rude and unhelpful, making any issues harder to resolve. There are constant maintenance problems that go unresolved for weeks, and pest infestations are a regular issue. Overall, a frustrating and disappointing experience. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.
I’ve had a generally good experience living here, but there are a few areas that could be improved. Parking can be a challenge, especially during peak hours. More designated spots and better organization parking could help alleviate the issue. Adding better lighting in the parking areas would also improve security and convenience. Maintenance requests are handled fairly well, but quicker response times would be appreciated. The community spaces are nice, but small upgrades—like improved landscaping would make a difference. Overall, it’s a comfortable place to live, and with a few improvements, especially in parking and security, it could be even better!

Honestly it really hasn’t been bad. Maintenance has always come out pretty fast but there hasn’t been issues in the apartment to be honest. I love the apartment itself and if it was a 2x2 I would renew.

It’s okay, just needs better security. Got followed home one night and of course no one was held accountable. The parking situation is not the best considering that even if you have a reserved spot someone else will park in it right when you leave and then threaten you whenever you tell them to move their car.

Great except for washer and dryer problems, the lakeside view is nice and the maintenance is usually always on top of things. The amenities like the gym pool area and grill are also great

The apartment is very nice. The only thing I think could be improved upon is the cleaning and checking rooms before move in. My room was absolutely filthy when I moved in and had clearly not been inspected

I’ve had such a great experience living at The Asher Tallahassee! The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help with any questions or concerns. Overall the furnishing is nice. Walls are thin and we have a loud microwave that hasn’t gotten fixed. My ac still hasn’t been fixed since moving in but it’s not too bad. The parking situation has gotten better.

Asher is upcoming I will say. It’s getting better as the days goes on. I love my apartment and room. I just the parking spots to be bigger. Other than that I will renew my lease

Good apartment but have had to contact maintenance often for various problems. also loud outside at all hours, either from people yelling or cars blasting music or honking.

Not the worst complex by any means, has its issues but also understandable as it is constantly between management. Almost all parking spaces are compact size, this has resulted in my car getting hit and scratched. The Asher has no cameras so I wasn't able to do anything about the damage. The units are spacious, probably the biggest rooms you'll find in all of Tallahassee.

Quiet area at least for me and I’m right up front. Easy access to amenities with after hours app. Parking could use some work but you kind of get the hand of it after a while.

all of the resident events are amazing and they always make sure residents are taken care of. the front office is always helpful and most problems are solved quickly

The start was very rough. The apartments were not cleaned and the renovations were not finished prior to move in. It's improved since then but considering other off campus choices of similar or shorter distance i'd go elsewhere.

Management was bad in the beginning, but it has gotten better. The apartments are cute, but there was still some issues that they said would be resolved by August and never were.

I’m moving process was a bit rocky. After uploading all of the money that was charged to my account for moving fees and what not they hit me with a community fee as I was picking up my keys. The unit was not ready, but it was newly renovated, so those issues were simple like having a TV mounted and an icemaker being placed in the refrigerator. However, down the line there were issues with adding additional fees on my account that weren’t supposed to be there. Parking was horrible meaning there weren’t enough parking spots for the residence, and the parking spots are very tiny. We also experienced a few incidents where girls were attacked in the parking lot and robbed.

I’ve really had trouble with getting maintenance to fix the leak in my ceiling, I’ve put in almost 5-6 work orders and yet the problem still hasn’t been fixed. All they have really done is paint it and put a dehumidifier in the bathroom. Kind of stinks cause it’s not fixing the problem. I also barely get my parking spot which I pay $30 for, but when I call the tow truck they say we will have someone out there soon and nobody ever comes out. For a plus I really enjoy using the pickleball courts offered, would be nice to have another one out there. Maybe remove the beach volleyball court?
